T.3rd time we have stayed there, top place, rooms perfect you can get the size that suits, very clean and you can cook in rooms if need be, fully equipped for everything, efficient friendly cleaning staff, and the owners keep an ear out for noise after 10PM which is a good thing, nice little pool to cool off in also, good location close to town - highly recommend

Beds were so warm and comfortable. To top it off we had an amazing breakfast. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We would surely stay here again and would highly recommend staying here.
C.The hotel was very accommodating and understanding when I had to move my stay a day later and then had to change more details due to a traffic accident from Wellington en route to Hastings. The room was clean and the service was great. always had clean towels waiting at our door the following morning. It is a little bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it with the ease of change we had to do for our trip. Definitely will come back again.

J. M.Portmans Motor Lodge is awesome. The rooms are set off the road, you can not hear any traffic noise. Air conditioning in all rooms is just amazing for the hit Hastings weather. Brian is just so awesome to deal with in emails and on the phone, nothing is a bother for him. Kaye is one very stylish dresser, she always stops to chat if she sees you out. We were made to feel very at home. Thank you so much.

M.Nice lodge, very good location easy walk to cafes. On the negative side the spa bath did not go.

Faultless presentation, great facilities and wonderful friendly service. By far excedes any other other Motel experience Hastings has offered us to date (and we should know given that we've sampled five other Hastings motels in the past 12 months).
