A.The owners are super friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the 2 Bed unit and it was perfect for a family. Plenty of room for 3 kids. It was like a home away from home.

Only downside was new owner ( manager) not familiar with the needs of the motorcyclists.
Hence kept asking why this was done then changing our lead. Wasn't keen on us using a coloured cloth so gave us a washing cloth in white? Invercargill is a motorcycle mecca so to gain credence with that market needs to be motorcycle friendly. Suggest they keep the old towels and have a bucket and offer to arriving motorcycle riders. Also a small bottle of made up windscreen washer and a couple of paper towels goes a long way. Seats outside the units means they can change out of boots before entering the unit. Then hang a motorcycle friendly sign out front.
We did enjoy our stay.

S.My experience with Colonial on Tay was comfortable. The price was reasonable even it was during Xmas holiday. The manager was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. I will stay there again when I visit my friends in Invercargill.

L.Very nice service. Could have some better system of heating though than the really old space heaters. Feels like you might wake up in the middle of the night on fire. Warm as that may be, in the long term it would be detrimental to your health. Bed was comfortable though.
C.Stayed overnight here It was a lovely motel .Clean and had air conditioning It's on the main Road into Invercargill so it was very noisy at night with the traffic .we stayed in the end one nearest the Road. Unfortunately we only had Two Towels for 4 people and had to ask for more.I felt it was expensive and the beds were very hard
D.Quiet, spacious units and friendly management. We requested a portacot and they provided all sorts of lovely baby linen as well. Definitely went the extra mile!

M.It was a comfy wee place. It could of done with supplying tea towels for doing dishes the plates I got out of the cupboard were dirty which can't be helped when you have no cloths for washing and drying
