We are a family of 4 and enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay at Mangawhai Lodge. B&B rooms with amazing views. Everything on point. We can highly recommend Mangawhai Lodge for your next stay. Jeanette has been an amazing host.

My husband and I stayed two nights at Mangawhai Lodge in early July 2021. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jeanette is a wonderful host. It was so nice having a delicious cooked breakfast both mornings. We had a beautiful view of the sea from our room. Highly recommended.

A gorgeous old style villa tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Absolutely stunning views from the balcony, breakfast area and some of the rooms. The host is friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was spacious and fully equipped. Our bathroom was across the hall. Not sure this is true for all rooms.

Very very lovely stay here. Host Jeannette was awesome. Great chats with her and provided a lovely cooked breakfast along with the yummiest fruit and muesli selection as well. Our beachcomber room was lovely and the view on the balcony outstanding. Totally recommend. Nice quiet get away with the best view.

We had a lovely stay here in June on an overnight trip from Auckland. The room was lovely and very cozy, we really enjoyed the electric blanket and in room touches. It had amazing views to enjoy a glass of wine. Jeannette was so welcoming- she gave us great recommendations for spending the day in town after the cliff walk hike. The breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed having a chat with Jeannette. Our only complaint is we had only booked one night instead of the whole weekend!

Beautiful, clean, and an amazing host, Jeanette. Most memorable and relaxed time for our team building week. Excellent hospitality and accommodation. Scenery is precious.

Found Jeannette and the Mangawhai Lodge everything that it is made out to be - Very warm and friendly reception despite the late hour and appreciate the better room offered up. The lodge is perched high and has a great outlook to the sea and beach - which is particularly good for breakfast - which turned up too big to finish! 2nd morning we got smart and ordered smaller serves which worked out perfectly. The accomm and lounge / dining is very fresh and appears to have new paint, carpet, tasteful furnishing and clean crisp linen. Wifi coverage good throughout property as i experienced capped it off. Local adventure through the weekend included local "Sandbar" for great dining. Also hiked the "Mangawhai Cliff Walk" which was outstanding, but you do need low tide to get along the beach stretch. Also hit the beach at Waipu Cove and hiked to the nearby waterfall surrounded by nature and devoid of company. All in all, Mangawhai turned out to be a great place to get away for the weekend from Auckland.
