L.Stay was good. 3 bedroom apartment has everything you need other than internet and air con. Very dated but tidy. It was very humid and with no air con (and only 2 very cheap weak stand up fans) we tried to sleep with the windows and door open BUT all rooms had blinds that just banged and knocked and rattled non stop. At 2am none of us had slept (5 people) so we closed all blinds to stop the banging but wow was it then hot so still couldn't sleep. Yes its an old building and yes it is getting an update in 2023 but in the mean time I feel good fans should be supplied in all rooms and perhaps curtains not blinds as even if it was a cold night and windows had been closed the lights all around the exterior of the building light the rooms up better than the actual interior lights. As for the no internet - well that's crazy in this day but perhaps don't advertise out the front that you have it since you don't!
L.Great location and good secure parking. Apartments are dated, which a coat of lighter paint would help. But the apartment is clean, comfortable and secure. There is also a lovely sunlit balcony to sit and relax in the afternoon. Reasonably priced and we would come to stay again...👍👍
J.Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a conservatory and balcony. Plenty of room, a well set up kitchen. Clean and tidy. Staff were very obliging.. 2 night rate was very good.
A.Thoroughly enjoyed how close we were to the beaches, right below the mountain 😁, hot pools straight across the road. What more could a family ask for. The clean homely vibe of the apartment we stayed in. Just made it that much 😘😘. Definitely planning another family get away and staying here. Well done 👍😎

s.Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Although short, I appreciated the cleanliness and simplicity of the room. I absolutely loved the Kiwiana feel and I hope that it stays that way as not all guest like “the high life” I was blessed enough to stay on third floor and my views were breathtaking, such an amazing location. I would definitely stay again. Thank you :)
D.Great location ,basement parking a nightmare,my car has scratches all over the door from the next car opening their door. Motel needs an update. Staples sticking up on carpet.expected better for the price !
B.Good facilities, friendly staff, free beach towels to use. Directly across the road from the hot pools and a short distance from the beach and walks. As we were away for a week it was really nice that we had a washing machine and dryer in our bathroom to use. Bad side: Room was a bit tired and sometimes external noises bothered us.
V.90's daycor but you can't get closer to the Maunga and right between the harbour and surf Beach. Clean and tidy and bonus underground parking.

E.Very friendly staff, great location, beach and shopping street very close. Room was clean and nicely equipped. However there is no wifi in the rooms and there were no towels or sheets for the third guest.

A.Great location, good sized rooms, I stayed in room 204, this room is on the second level at the front, with a perfect view of the mount, great sized balcony to relax while having a beer.
Room is very private but at times did get some entrance noise in the morning.
Management of the complex are friendly and are always willing to help when called.
Hot pools right across the road which is fantastic!
Highly Recommended to stay in this room/complex.

M.Very nice apartment with two double bedrooms Conservatory full kitchen dining and lounge with the balcony. We just decided to do a road trip and ended up in Mount Maunganui so wer lucky enough to find good accommodation for the night. Right opposite the pools and the mountains and a 4 minute walk to the beach.
N.The Resort is in short walking distance to beach,hot pools, and restaurants. Our room was clean and tidy and restocked with daily with essential necessities. I especially loved the fluffy towels. And by the way if your going to the hot pools or beaches ask at reception for separate towels instead of taking your hotel towels. The shower and spa bath are just perfect after swimming at the amazing surf beach or the safer beach for kids Pilot bay which is also in short walking distance from Calais Resort and don't forget to walk around the base or summit of Mauao ( the big mountain can't miss it) The scenery is stunning . The reception lady is very professional and friendly with a beautiful smile to greet you on arrival. We had a great holiday Awesome!

J.Good basic clean accommodation right in the heart of the mount. Some harbour view from top floor. Lift good with luggage. Basement carpark. Friendly helpful staff.
B.We have stayed at the Calais four times now and have had an excellent stay all times. Location is perfect, close to the beaches, hot pools, restaurants and small walk into town. Staff are always inviting and always help when needed. Rooms are always clean and have everything that is needed, even washing machine and dryer. A bonus is that you get a carpark that is no extra charge. Only down fall is the rooms are a bit dated and there is no wifi. But overall good value for money.
L.Our family always stays at the Calais. Staff pleasant and helpful apartments are always clean and it's a great position. Prices are very good. Highly recommend it.
P.Unbelievable but no wifi in our room! Only down in Reception. Most inconvenient. Also poor lighting and ventilation. Would not stay again. Position very good.
