A.Not sure what's going on with the reviews?? Something smells fishy! We didn't experience any of the below. Stayed for 2 nights at the resort. Staff were nice and friendly, nothing like described below. Room was tidy and clean and of course we made sure it was the same when we checked out. The heated outdoor pool was fully usable and clean. Location was excellent within a minute distance of the mount and the beach. We received our refund in full within 1-2 days after our checkout day. Nothing to complain about.
K.I came here with my friends the staff is very good, well dressed and the room was very clean specially washroom and kitchen. The man on reception is very good he explained everything very clearly and he is very friendly. I will surely come back again here. We love it, very beautiful scene out because it is close to beach.

E.Apartment we got was a bit old and tired, and very expensive for what we got. WiFi was not included in the price either, had to be purchased separately.
V.Friendly staff, clean, and the location is good, but a couple of wee repairs in our room would be good. No poolside seats or loungers which was disappointing, just as well there is a beautiful beach 1 minute walk away! Room service replaced our (very small bath towels) twice in four days but didn’t “tidy” the bed like it says in the room service notice and pretty much did nothing at all our whole stay. After were woken the second morning by jumping and banging above our room I informed reception and was told they are residents and they can’t do anything about it but ask them again to keep it down. Wouldn’t stay again pretty disappointing.
R.Excellent customer service from very welcoming couple on front. A very convenient resort located right next to the mount beach. Probably the best location out of all the accommodation in the area, the resort is right next to the mountain and beach. Conveniently located a short walk to bars and restaurants, it's easy to get around by foot. The room was super spacious, clean, inviting and comfortable.
We got bit late to check in but the way reception people left a guide note by the entrance in the safe, it was super convenient to get through the entrance.
Would I stay here again or recommend? Yes Absolutely. Their exceptional service will make us stay there whenever we are visiting Tauranga. The price was very fair with a secured car park.. Highly recommended!!
k.Stayed there for 2 nights and fully enjoyed the place. We picked this place on the basis of reviews from others and we were not disappointed. The owners were extremely welcoming, the location is very central (within walking distance to numerous eateries and bars a moreover right next to the stunning mt beach) and it was convenient to have a whole apartment style room for our 2 days stay.
Our room was beautifully made over, very warm and a separate lounge area.
This is definitely a lovely place to stay and I would definitely recommend to make your stay enjoyable!!

A.Wonderful apartment 9D in Tower 2. 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and great living and kitchen area including large balcony with harbour views and a peek of the beach. Highly recommended 😊
L.I stayed here for 4 days in an ocean view room and had a lovely stay. The staff were amazing and accommodating to my needs. The location is definitely the main attraction to this motel with the beach being at your doorstep. The wifi was a bit slow, but we didn't mind as it was free and we didn't need it that much anyway.
I also like the fact that they have soap dispensers which eliminates any plastic waste - Great for the environment!
S.Good location but housekeeping needs improving - onli replaces towels and sumtimes take out yr rubbish and thats it
H.Nice views from the rooms. You can choose the room as per your preference. I come here occasionally. Loved the staff, kind and warm-welcoming. The reception man helps to clear queries and welcomes everyone with kind words.
M.I booked the room for 2 days. It is lovely stay in this motel. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well as my room was very clean and big. Overall, great experience with amazing view.
R.Do like this resort, the location is excellent, would be 5 star if prices little less $344 for 2 adults and a 7yo in a 1 bed with pull out bed in living room with ocean view in a apartment that is getting bit dated a stretch I think..a lot for a kiwi to pay on our wages should be $250 to $275per night in my opinion, there was thick dust on top of light fittings in bathroom and vent in the ceiling of the main bathroom full dust looked like had not been cleaned for years the bulk of the rest of apartment was clean enough if wanting top $$$ re vamp necessary I would say and the pull out bed past it's best needs replacing service excellent lady on front desk when we arrived a pleasure to deal with, she added a star to my review :)
M.Solid accommodation in a really special part of the world. Probably the best location out of all the accommodation in the area, the resort is right next to the mountain and beach. Conveniently located a short walk to bars and restaurants, it's easy to get around by foot. The room was spacious, clean, inviting and comfortable, albeit dated.
A fan was enough during our stay, but without airconditioning it might have been too hot. Reception hours are limited to the early evening, which would make it difficult for late arrivals to orientate themselves to their surrounds.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely. We arrived without a booking and staff were more than friendly and happy to accommodate us at short notice. The exceptional service made up the shortcomings of no air conditioning, and a dated room. Plus, the price was fair and we weren't gouged for arriving without a booking as we have been at previous resorts.
H.The Reception lady, I think her name was Shannon? Was so welcoming and lovely, made me feel welcomed as soon as I walked through the doors. The room we stayed in was nice and clean and just super cosy! I had an issue with payment I was unsure about so emailed the team and Shannon replied straight away and told me to call and she sorted everything out for me with no worries at all! Highly recommended this place and thank you to Shannon for your warm gestures and kindness :)
M.A fantastic location right next to the Mount. The hotel is a little tired although the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms large. Bathroom was a little basic but clean and functional.
The pool was not large and was packed with kids when we went to use it (we went to the beach instead).
For a short stay this is a great value option.

Just not necessary and a little disappointing to leave with that ringing in our ears. Especially as we almost going out the door but then felt very rushed and under pressure.

C.Staff were friendly and inviting. They let me in early which was great. Room was big, a bit hot no air conditioning only a fan. My stay was work related. Great place to stay close to the beach and shops only a short walk.

P.The Oceanside has a great location beside the mountain. I stayed in the tower closest to the mountain with an apartment facing the bay. These have a little evening sun as it sets behind the mountain. If you have a sea facing apartment you get the morning sun. The tower towards the mountain has had it's public areas renovated and look great. The other tower is in ongoing renovations with issues but I haven't been in that tower. The apartment I stayed in was in good condition with all you need to be self sufficient.

D.This is a lovely, new property, right at the foot of Mt Maunganui. The rooms and bathroom are spacious and comfortable.
The location is excellent, right near several restaurants and the start of the trail for the mountain. We were able to rise early and climb the mountain to view sunrise from the top.
My only quibble is that the WiFi was very flaky - cutting in and out.
I would definitely return, if only for the great location.
C.Great spot, parking space with room. The accommodation was spacious, clean and not all tired. Staff were pleasant and polite. Try Dixie Brown restaurant just around the corner good good food. Would stay again.
S.We stayed a couple of nights here and booked 3 rooms. Reception was great and we were offered a large parking for our minibus. The staff really went outside there way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool as well as the free videos CDs. The only concern we had was the bad WiFi connectivity. We bought a 30GB package but it was taking ages to download any item. We are visitors to NZ and WiFi was really critical for us to stay connected with home.
D.Just the one night. Nice clean rooms. Bed topper was soft & comfortable, base is firm.
Basic amenties. Milk in fridge, coffee tea hot chocolate. Relaxing !

A.This Resort has a good selection of rooms. We have stayed in the Penthouse, the Standard Room and the Cheapest Room, dependant on our requirements at the time. Lots of choice just ask, they are very obliging. Great views, right next to cafes, restaurants and beach.

K.Advertised as if it's in twin towers but in fact it is a low level building behind it ayway where we got our room. The room was big and spacy , although there was an ant problem all over the kitchen space. There was a small stain in one of the sheets looked like blood from a cut. The room had no air conditioning just a standing fan. There was a pool near the room. Breakfast was not included. 2 people around 190 $NZ.
K.Pros: Room was spacious with a nice bathroom, comfortable bed, good underground parking. Cons: Some street noise, thin walls so you are able to hear other guests movement VERY clearly and the Wi-Fi connection was very inconsistent but was fast for the hour I bothered using it.
D.Very nice two bedroom apartment with awesome views of the ocean and mt Maunganui. I would definitely stay here again.
If I had any negative things to say, it would be that, we weren't told about the up keep maintenance going on. The gym and spa was unavailable because of maintenance.
We used the hot baths across the road. The hot baths are a must. Mt Maunganui is a good centrel location for those day trips .eg: Rotorua thermal experiences and 2.5 to the international airport.
D.Had a enormous room which included laundry, kitchenette and 2 balconies. The choice of tv in the bedroom or lounge room was great. Leather lounge suites were very comfortable if mismashed in colour. Would definitely return.

j.Oceanside resorts is one of the best resorts in the Tauranga city. Friendly and helpful staff and the view from the rooms that is so amazing.
V.Decent rooms, good service and reasonable prices. A really great option is that they work with a list of cafes and restaurants on the area so you can charge your meal back to your room.
H.One of the best resort in the town with comfortable rooms! The only problem is the parking! It's small and hard to park especially if you have SUV!
