Such an awesome hostel! Spacious with an outdoor patio area and a table tennis table. Kitchen is huge and the facilities are always clean. Heaps of storage under the beds as well so you can actually unpack. Staff are super friendly and only a 5 minute walk to the beach too!

Amazing place! Great friendly staff and so clean. Great facilities and perfect if you’re alone or with a few people, you’ll make friends regardless. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful little hostel, massive and we'll equipped kitchen, a nice little smoking area outside and big communal areas. The shower pressure was AMAZING, everything is very clean and the staff was doing a great job running reception and housekeeping at the same time. The mattress was very comfy. Only downside for me was the location with a 20 minute walk out if the town center, but completely depends on personal preference! Would definitely come back :)

Great stay for the price, comfortable beds, great host accommodated to our needs, very clean for a hostel, we had a great cocktail night.

The best hostel I’ve been soo far in New Zealand! Pacific lodge is just amazing, offering to you a great space in the comum areas with tv, library,
ping pong table and a big kitchen! It’s always super organised and clean! Staffs are really friendly and always helpful if you need anything! The new night shift receptionist Diego is just great helping me to find a job and even buying a car. Shot out to the staffs that makes this place a fantastic place to stay. I really recommend this place ✨

Loved this place - so close to town and the beach, plus the staff made me feel so welcome, giving directions and suggestions about what to do during my stay at the Mount. Really clean and tidy too.

We stayed for the week-end with my friend and enjoyed our time there. The staff is friendly and helpful. Upon checking in the front desk lady gave us a little tour of the facilities. The hostel is very clean and has big community areas. It is very close to the beach and to the bars. Will definetely come back again!

Would 100% recommend this hostel, whether it's for short term stays or long terms. This was actually my first long term stay in a hostel and I wasn't feeling too great about it until I arrived at PCL.
The staff were so helpful, especially Lauré - she goes above and beyond no matter what day or time it is! Thank you for the amazing energy you bring to the world :)
The hostel has everything you need for a short term to long term stay - the only thing that could be improved is maybe more washing/drying machines! But otherwise, the kitchen is well equipped, there is car parking which is a plus, showers are good, general hostel areas are clean and tidy, beds are comfortable.
I had the best time at PCL, I ended up staying for three months (when I planned to move into my own room a couple of weeks in so it must be good!) I even met my partner there so you never know what can happen at PCL ;)
Thanks for the best 3 months!

Surprisingly clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms however very stuffy in hot weather

Such a nice hostel! We travelled as a couple and the private room was so nice - it even had a separate shared bathroom away from the communal ones which was a nice touch. Very clean, fresh looking and close to the beach. Friendly staff. Tick tick tick.

I recently stayed at Pacific coast lodge when I was in the bay for OneLove and I could not of asked for a better experience. Alina on reception was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The lodge has a awesome vibe, is super clean and is an affordable way to stay in the Mount. Highly recommended and I can't wait to stay again next year.

Had a great stay here! The location is perfect. So close to down town Mount Maunganui and a short walk to the beach.
The staff at PCL are so accommodating! I dealt with three in particular, Rachel, Laure and Aline. Great work guys! Thank you!
6 stars!!

Stayed the night, no complaints except not many showers. awesome staff

Good location to the mount and beach. Easy to lime, walk or Uber for cheap! Free wifi and friendly staff. Basic rooms. Decent wifi and clean facilities. Very loud though!! Thin walls and no one is quiet. Barely got any sleep for my two night stay.

Great Hostel! We came here to find work and a place to stay. Aline (the manager) was a big help. Got work right away for the next day and loads of support throughout our stay. Felt very comfortable and homey. Would highly recommend staying here!

I mean, decent backpackers hotel - no complaints about the facilities or rooms, everything is standard, if not fancy. I'd give a (4-5)/5 for that coz it has everything i expect from a backpacker hostel - clean, great vibe, facilities etc.
However, the problem for me was the location of the building, and possibly the location of the room in the building - which was the one closest to the road. So, it's basically situated on the roadside and this was almost Christmas and it was a weekend. So, there were a lot of loud drunk people returning from clubs late at night - and this woke me up atleast 4 times at night. Again, this isn't really the hostel's fault - but for me, if I was looking at staying at this hostel again, I'd probably choose a room away from the road.
