Fantastic location. Great facilities (option of chalet with just beds to cabin with kitchen to full on family space.). Shared kitchen & lounge spaces, during peak season there is a bar, fire pit, hangi and couples baths heated by wood with a gob-smacking views to boot! If you are also into hunting and fishing you are in heaven. Highly recommended.

Everyone here has a wonderful energy. It's a beautiful spot with beautiful people. The hangi they made for us was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. And they did a great jon educating us about Maori culture. I cannot recommend it enough!

Great and beautifulplace to learn more about Maori, have a real hangi and engulf yourself in great activities like weaving your own dinner plates or kayaking. In addition staying at this place supports local schools.

An amazing experience to understand more about Mauri culture and spend time with an amazing whānau... From the moment you step in to the moment you leave and beyond you feel like you've been welcomed into and become a part of the family at the lodge... Loved every second and can't wait to come back, kite wawe koe xx

The folks at the lodge are very passionate about their culture and its very interesting to learn about and try their home cooked meal. The only downside about being out there is there was a lot of bugs-relatively harmless, just everywhere.
