This is a great hotel. Clean and spacious rooms and a fantastic location right on the beach and close to bars and restaurants. Their restaurant is excellent too - well priced and great quality food. We have stayed here 3 times now and we will be back for sure.

Lovely location and views. Friendly staff who really know how to make a "Lovely" coffee when asked lol. Food was well cooked and arrived in good time. Only had breakfast but an sure the lunch and dinner options will also be great. Happy to return again.

Large, comfortable, clean room with nice big, comfy bed. Outdoor seating with view to the sea. Nice restaurant next door. Very quiet.

We visited for lunch on a super busy Big Easy day. Wait staff were incredibly stretched - our server forgot to place our drinks order, and meal service was well delayed. Only one bar staff on resulting in massive queues. A little forward planning with staffing on behalf of management wouldve been helpful. That being said, staff were friendly, food was lovely and the environment fab as always.

A nice room with lovely views and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The service in the restaurant was great but the food was a little average. However, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

One of the best views in Napier! Big glass windows to look out at the view while sitting in a warm cosy restaurant. Plenty of room for strollers and kids. Great service. The food and coffee was delicious.

What a superb location and ideally suited for business seminars / conferences / meetings as they have a range of good meeting rooms, air conditioned and with lovely views. The hotel is in a very swanky part of Napier with lovely bars, harbour, etc.

I was there for a three day meeting. The meeting room - located downstairs next to the restaurant, easy access to internal & external eating areas. The meeting room had everything we needed. The morning & afternoon teas were just outside the meeting room. With the risk of distracting the attendees, it was the perfect location & set up for the meeting. Meals - we had all (but one) our meals at the restaurant. The food was nice and the price was reasonable, and with the option to eat inside or outside, we enjoyed our meals. Accommodation - the rooms were perfect! Nice size, very good value for money. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was in a one-bedroom suite so I was able to host end-of-day catch-ups in my room & with the large balcony, it was the perfect place to host. Staff - from the time I arrived, the staff were helpful and very accommodating. I recommend this place to anyone wanting beach-side accommodation, with a walking track along the beach just outside your room, shops just around the corner, and the airport only 20 mins drive away.

Excellent service in restaurant. Staff friendly polite and nice to deal with.Very helpful and accommodating when extra guests arrived. Food was excellent and all delivered at same time to a large group. Also provided special parking for car club. Coffees post meals excellent also. Would definately visit restaurant again and recommend.

great views. aircon. quiet. comfy beds. Ohhh Lala! and had a stellar meal of grouper and potato gratin tonight. very juicy and fresh. Top food in a very understated restaurant. Staff have been helpful and friendly. would definitely stay again.

Fairly recent build. Quite clean and the staff are friendly.

Lunch at restaurant today. Beautiful day, beautiful view, really nice lunch, great coffee. Service pretty good, but again no "followup" service. No "would you like anything else, would you like another drink, can I get you a dessert menu?" And please tell us why do you never wipe table's or bird poo off seats? Lack of hygiene there.

I stay at East Pier frequently as my career requires me to travel. The staff here consistently give a great service, particularly the receptionist with their eye for detail; greeting me and my colleagues each by name. The food is always amazing, we choose to dine each time we stay, the prices are well worth the quality. The rooms are always clean and well put together. Hotel itself is in a great location.

I would seriously love to give this place 4 1/2 stars. Went with a large group, and had a three course meal for $45. The bread entree, with two dips, was lovely and fresh, however we were not given a separate knife to use for this. The choice of steak (only medium rare) looked and sounded to be delicious - no concerns if you can eat rare meat. Dessert was two choices - neither of which had a fork to use - with fruit on the plate, it was difficult chasing it on a flat plate. It seems to be a silver service, and yet I was still eating while the plates were cleared from the other guests at the table. I hope this will be taken into account by management, and I hope also to go another time for the excellent food served. Hope small changes can be made. Recommended restaurant!

Great hotel with lovely beach views, friendly staff and a great restaurant. Nice and close to Ahuriri village. Kids playground nearby, peaceful walks along the esplanade. A very relaxing spot.

Havent been there parked at big chairs

Room had a nice view, free WIFI, parking provided. I was disappointed with a few things, the day we checked in, we found a chipped drinking glass. The vent in the bathroom was disgusting and most importantly we were told to check out earlier then what our itinerary suggested (I had requested a late check out). It is, however, in a good location. I believe the restaurant isn’t the best (very limited menu), I preferred another nearby restaurant to this. However, the restaurant staff are amazing.

Had a couple of drinks and watched the world. Nice spot great views. Not expensive worth a try.

Always a great visit here. The pate was yummo. Went back next day with my sister for wine in the sun! Perfect.

Was here for a workshop. Lovely setting looking out onto sea. There were about 100 people in our workshop and wasn't over crowded. Morning tea provided with selection of teas and instant coffee. Scones were beautiful. Easy parking, clean restrooms. Housekeeping were doing the rooms as we were walking past and they look lovely also.

Limited menu due to mothers day. Still good food though. Felt a bit rushed by staff. Probably just due to busy day though

Staff tried their best and were accommodating were they could be. Restaurant food was average at best. Not hawkes bay standard food, absolutely superb setting , should have been incredible with this location.

Wait staff are friendly and attentive. The views are great and the surrounding area is very nice. Decor is nice. However, the food is overpriced for what it is. There is very little depth to flavour and it seems to be made with an uninspired hand. Better place to go for nachoes and a drink than sit-down dinner.

Great place to stay nice and quiet had special car show from the locals before we headed off. Great location walking distance to local bars and eateries. Bed was very comfortable

Great hotel for loads of reasons - on the shore (personally I prefer staying this end of town), all the rooms have water views and balconies. The rooms are modern, clean and large. Plenty of parking and the staff are efficient and lovely. East Pier Is my regular spot for my Hawkes Bay travels!

I always enjoy my stay, the room is clean bed you don't want to get of! Wonderful view quiet staff always helpful. Wish I could stay longer than just 1 night at a time. Our crew lunches much appreciated.

If your looking for a place to hold your next event, look no further. The team here goes above and beyond to accommodate any event your planning. The food is Great, and the staff are awesome, super friendly and ready to help. The accommodation is top notch. And the views are breathtaking. We had guests from all over nz, and they were blown away

Have not stayed as a guest but only dined in the restaurant. The setting alone is worth it. Have been coming here for years every time I visit home and has changed hands in that time I suspect. Food has always been great if not a bit pricey these days.

We have stayed there many times in there family unit they are nice but not worth the 340 to $369 a night. Then to top it off they charge you to use your credit card. Parking is a lucky dip we have had to park on the road.This would be the most expensive hotel in Napier and is not 5 star.after our last visit we will not stay again

Our family had a lovely time at East Pier over the weekend. We sat on the deck, enjoyed a yummy platter and a couple of wines while the kids played right in front of us on the beach - everybody won! Great family restaurant

The best part of this is the location. Straight on the beach! Best for lunch/ afternoon tea as the sun is blocked around the evening and wind can be cold.

The food for its cost is quite too much, but the plating was nice; unfortunately, the taste was average. It was a good meal, but there are some restaurants that would has great taste with cheaper/same prices. The view was great though!

Amazing hotel and staff !!!! I ordered a main and entree as an early meal. It was delicious! But i am a big eater, so i orderd the Moroccan Lamb late at night and it was so delicious. The wine was good but the employees in the restaurant are genuine and great. The Receptionist always has a true welcoming smile

(Translated) Located on the beach, the scenery is very good and it is very clean just after being built. The parking lot was also comfortable. I recommend jogging at the beach in the morning, and I think it would be good to buy fish from fish market and eat salmon and sea bream sashimi. (Original) 바닷가에 위치해서 경치가 아주 좋고 지은지 얼마되지 않아 아주 깨끗합니다. 주차장도 널직해서 편했고요. 아침에 바닷가에서 조깅을 추천하고요, 피시마켓에서 생선을 구입해서 연어와 도미회 드셔보는것도 좋을 것 같습니다.
