Lovely clean airy apartment with great view. Great access to playgrounds + marine parade attractions. Parking, pool and spa bath lovely extras. Friendly helpful staff and very reasonable price. Hope to be back 😊

Good clean rooms. Pool was more of a paddling pool in size and not very deep! But otherwise clean and tidy and reasonably equipped as expected for a motel room.

I highly recommend this place. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The views were awesome and its close proximity to town was a bonus. The room was tidy and clean, with exceptional service provided by the edgewater staff. Had a great time down in Napier, would definitely come again:)

Great friendly staff, room lovely and clean and well priced. Only downfall no aircon so very hot but had a fan which helped.

Clean, beautiful presentation, customer service was helpful and welcoming. Thank you, first night for the week. Rooms are great size, views great as well. Spa bath, wow Devine. Walking distance to Beachfront. Skate Park across from Lodge for kids. Great coffee place across from my room. Breakfast was yum.

Great room and love their heating system, but poor wifi signal. We were staying in room 20 upper floor, i guess their router is located in reception area. Please check all the rooms if they have enough wifi connection, or might invest a wifi extender to extend the wifi signal. Pros: Nice rooms, shower, nice view and secure car park Cons: Poor wifi signal from room 20 i think. My friends stayed in room 15 and 19, but they have fast internet connection.

Great place to stay. Nice and clean. Quiet and relaxing too. Great to be able to have the balcony door open at night and listen to the ocean right across the road. Perfect views too. Going back to stay in may. Loved it!

Very friendly hosts and the cleanest I've stayed in for quite some time. Great sized room with comfortable bed and furnishings. Close to most things and the beach just literally over the road. Only thing to pick at is parking is very limited especially for larger vehicles and if you have a "chair pusher" upstairs, can be quite loud. Otherwise a great place and view 👌

We’ve just spent the last week on a family break. From when we arrived until when we left the place has been immaculate every day, the team are friendly and the room was perfect for a family. Great location right in town.

We had an older room which is due to be updated, however it was very clean and the beds are super comfy. Everything you need is there. Staff are very nice and very helpful. The updated rooms are really nice so be sure to phone your booking rather than go through an online booking service to get what you want. The lodge is very central and walking distance to town. Recommend.

It was fine for an overnight stay but not longer. The spaces are small and the outside space for our room wasn't much more than a cupboard nook and it was shared space with the room next door. Parking is very poor so we opted to park on the street. The shower pressure is low. Silver Bullet caravan over the road is cool!!!

Nice enough room, good location, but overpriced. Parking extremely tight. Advertised as sleeping up to 3 - was travelling with a friend so assumed bedding would be available to make up fold-out bed. It wasn't, and by the time we discovered it reception was closed.

Not the best of weekends to visit Napier but the Edgewater made up for that. Fantast view of the storm from our room. East to walk to town and plenty of on site car parks. Would happily stay again.

The room was spacious and the stay was enjoyable, situated opposite the beach. Amazing beach walk for km's with loads to do and see. I highly recommend getting a waffle from the Danish Delight ice cream stand - the best waffles in town! The reason it's 4 star and not 5 is the parking is a bit of a hassle at the lodge.

As previous reviews. Very friendly staff and 5 star clean. Room 1 was extremely spacious so great for our family meetings. Highly recommend 👌 👍

Had a lovely stay at the Edgewater motel. On arrival we were upgraded to a larger room with a balcony which was lovely. Room was clean and spacious and just what we needed for a lovely weekend away with the girls. Reasonably priced. Very helpful hosts. Great location.

If you want a great sea view then the Edgewater Motor Lodge is for you if staying in Napier as the units have sea views. Apart from that they the are well furnished throughput with a modern kitchenette including microwave and fridge. Plus the rooms are very clean and well maintained. It's also a very handy location for all of the local tourist attractions and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Great place very cosy. So handy to everything. Friendly helpful hosts. Was a bit worried about the carparking as accustomed to motor lodges having one allocated per room but we got lucky 👍 also helped that everything within walking distance.

Nice hotel convenient for the city centre and it's attractions . The room we had was clean and comfortable . The kitchen area was a bit small but with a kettle ,microwave , toaster plus a good range of crockery and cutlery we were adequately served. The parking area is a bit cramped and not for sloppy or untidy markers. All in all good value for what we paid.

Great Hotel. We loved it. The lady receptionist was very lovely as we were in late due to a late flight. Very quaint hotel, tidy and clean and a lot of room, we absolutely loved the spa bath so that’s a bonus after catching 2 planes in one day, it’s so relaxing . The scenery was great as well, everything was in walking distance; the beach is a hop skip and a jump. The only downfall was the parking is really tight; so if you have a large vehicle Good Luck... lol... otherwise great place and quiet and great lady receptionist

Perfect family friendly accommodation. Excellent facilities, great value for money, and right opposite a wonderful play ground and bike park. Quick easy walk to city centre and aquarium. Owners are lovely and helpful. Will definitely use again

Cheap convenient place. Nice & close to shops, cafes & across from lovely beach side walkway.

Absolutely awesome location. Walk out your front door, cross the road and you are on the beach. Pak N Save, The Warehouse, National Aquarium and city Centre and many other attractions all walking distance. We chose the ground floor room. Had a nice spa bath, nice kitchen facilities, Sky TV and very comfy bed! Nice playground across the road for children. Wifi was excellent and housekeeping also excellent. A few trucks go past through the day though the sliding doors seem to keep the noise out. Very quiet during the night. Amazing sunrises if you get up early enough! Real plunger coffee in the room also! That's always a plus. Cannot fault in any way and we will definitely be staying there again.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable upstairs room with a great view. The host was friendly and helpful. Did find the parking a bit tight for a 4WD and would have liked air conditioning/heat pump but good value for money.

A very pleasant hotel, right opposite the beach and only 800m from the town centre. My room was large with good facilities, including spa bath. Very well stocked kitchen. Bed comfortable. Very quiet.

Good host's. Unfortunately the rooms are very dark and it looks like nothings been done since the 90's. Clean but old and worn.

The bedding etc was nice, just need to fix a couple things, like the bathroom door handle kept coming off, was held on with paper and the light socket frame was stuck on by tape

Friendly service, clean and simple rooms. Allowed us to charge our EV and provided a cot and linen for our 3 month old, at no extra cost. An easy walk to Napier CBD, close to cafes, supermarkets and right on the waterfront - ideal location!

Great place. Very roomy, clean and modern. Only downfall was my spa bath didn't actually 'spa' - caretakers thought probably a busted fuse and were going to get it looked at. Only found out the day before we were leaving. Breakfast is available but with so many eateries about 10 min walk away we chose to eat out. Toiletries included too (shampoo/conditioner/moisturiser/make-up wipes) but just the generic hotel stuff so I would advise taking your own. Could hear the surf crashing at night but no road noise (probably no cars at that time though). Lovely touch with the motel caretakers turning the heater on before out late arrival. Would happily stay again.

Overall this was a good place to stay. Good location and I found the room I stayed in to be very comfortable and roomy, and the beds were nice. The only downsides I found were the noise from upstairs (I could hear people walking around in the units above but it wasn't too bad), and the lack of WiFi (I could see it but signal was almost non-existant). For me, the WiFi wasn't an issue, but I couldn't check my work emails so had to use data instead. Also, I didn't drive there, but there was another couple I knew staying there at the same time, and the parking was very tight - we came in at midnight but couldn't fit the car in as someone hadn't parked exactly in their spot so had to reverse out again and park on the road... However, despite those small issues, I think I would stay there again next time as these are not big problems for me. The small amount of time I spent interacting with the staff was pleasant enough, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place if someone was asking.

The spacious studio I stayed in was clean tidy and modern. Ample room in all quarters. The layout is well thought out with the lounge being able to divide from the bedroom with shutter blinds. There was also a spa in the main bedroom area with the shower and toilet seperate. The studio had two TV's, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom. Although the accommodation ticks most of the boxes, it however lets you down in two core areas. Comfort and noise levels. Sometimes the noise factor is hard to get away from due to busy streets, thin walls and lack of double glazing. However comfort should be a main priority in any accommodation and although nicely laid out and modern, I couldn't help but feel I was sitting in the lounge having high tea. The seating does not allow for anything but a rigid seating positions and becomes uncomfortable very quickly. While the bed was comfortable enough, the pillows really let a peaceful nights sleep down. Flat and hard would be the best way to describe them. Overall a good experience and the staff are friendly. Sort out the pillows and the lounge seating and you'll be reaching for the stars!

Great location & a spotlessly clean unit, with well kitted out kitchen. Comfy bed & I loved my pillow. Even had my PJs folded & popped under the pillow too.

I have to say this apartment was the most cleanest I have ever stayed in. Immaculate. The apartment was absolutely gorgeous in every way. I would highly recommend Edgewater. We stayed in the upstairs 2 bedroom apartment # 21. Very quiet beautiful location

Stayed in the large two bedroom unit, perfect for the three kids, very clean, tidy, and well maintained. Friendly staff. Straight over the road from large play ground and bike tracks. Highly recommended.

Nice and charming hotel located a few minutes away from restaurants on the beach and 5 minutes away from Pak'n Sav, Countdown, KFC, Burger King, St. Pierre Sushi, etc. The room is big and clean. All amenities are ready to use. My room is downstair. Parking at the back of the hotel. In front of my room is a small pool facing to the road. Only one problem is people who stay on the second floor walk heavily and loudly. Apart from that, everything is great!

Clean tidy rooms. Very helpful and very friendly staff. However rooms need maintainance needed on paint and tap work as taps in the room where we were taps were hard to use and shower head was loose tap was leaking.
