R.I used as a base to cycle the Great Taste and local Nelson mountain bike trails. Handy location but off the busy highway, short walk to the park and beach, food and shopping options nearby.
The room was nice, owners friendly and happy to offer advice and local knowledge. Ideal for me, will return
S.Upon arriving was a very cold room, turned on panel heater and didn't heat up space until I found fan heater and got that going. Sliding door into bathroom noisy, especially if one needs toilet in middle of night, toilet door doesn't open all the way and doesn't close , is a tight space.
Was clean and tidy, skirting boards need a wipe though. This is coming from a cleaner.

You do hear the planes going to and from the airport but this was not a problem for us.

t.Great place and didn’t realise it had a pool, so kids very happy. Spacious unit with everything you need and comfortable beds. Management also very helpful and friendly with lots of advice on what to do in the area.
K.Good honest Kiwi service. Quiet location, walkable distance to the beach. Units are clean, and there appears to be a gradual refurbishment programme underway, as there's a mix of old and new. Most of the unit was reasonably contemporary, although our shower was obviously old, with a slightly leaky rotary 80's Topliss mixer and tired linings. There was a newish lounge suite which looked good but wasn't very comfortable, as it had internal spring damage, probably due to abuse by some inconsiderate guests (cannot understand people who'd do this to new furniture). A little outdoor area at the back was a very nice and pleasant bonus. There's a swimming pool and a bbq that guests can use. This is not an upmarket motel, but it's very pleasant and almost worth 5 stars considering value for money. Would have been 5 stars excellent value for money had the shower been updated to a basic modern level. Overall, good enough that we would consider booking again.

M.Nice little motel close to locations suck as the fun park and airport. Clean and tidy rooms although the door to the bathroom was broken and wouldn't shut properly (which wasn't too bad as we only stayed one night). Relatively cheap prices. There is a pool on the grounds too.

M.A place to stay, free WiFi up to 1gb per code, small pool for summer time and outdoor seating area. Only 5 sky channels though when it advertises free sky television, and only 1 very small bottle of complimentary milk for 5 people in 1 unit. Otherwise pretty reasonable

P.Really chilled out easy going place. Good for a family setting, quiet neighborhood and close to Tahunanui Beach which is pretty. Within ten mins of town and the beach has a few shops too. The service is good and place is tidy.
