As a line haul heavy truck driver excellent place to take a 10 hour break with easy access for any 9axle rig with at least 10 parking spaces for 9axles.

W.We were heading home as there was no vaccancies in NewPlymouth or surrounding district. Came across the flashing sign. Found the unit we had very clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable. We will stay here again if we need too.
B.Lovely owners/staff. Good food (actual home style). Comfy rooms. The only let down was road noise. If you are sensitive to such, might be best avoided. If not, go hard.

V.Very good motel for the traveller and with great truck access and parking. Honest, home style meals and clean, comfortable units that are fairly quiet. Friendly staff. Quirky theme with cut outs of colonial soldiers that reference to the Redoubt that once was on the site and the site of a battle between colonial forces and Maori

T.Outstanding hospitality, I didn't have the pleasure of staying, my truck was having mechanical issues so I pulled in to there huge parking area & was greeted by a friendly staff member seeing if everything was OK and if I needed anything and was welcomed with the offer of a cuppa tea & the comfort of indoors. If this is how they greet & treat visitors sure anyone staying would not be disappointed! Thank u , I highly RECOMMEND Sentry Hill Motel!

L.It is worth the Short drive out of New Plymouth North on hwy 3, sitting on the top of the rolling valley hill with beautiful valley views. Get out of the city and relax. The owner only had one of the barracks available with a shared bathroom and kitchen, however upgraded us with a quick cleaning up of the family suite. It is veey clean and has wonderful ambiance. I am enjoying it much more than the downtown Wellington hotel that couldn't be bothered by letting us sleep in an extra hour after arriving at 2:00am.
You will want to dine here as well with the most charming cook and good home cooking. What a sweet lady.

S.Great place for trucks food great the only problem is the heating not the best as the heaters had it on for 2 hours waste of time turning it on

p.Lovely place . Not far from airport. Fantastic friendly staff. Very very clean. Quiet . Renovations on some rooms and they are really nice . Great country feel about the place and only 10 minutes to town.
C.Out in the country side. Nice. Truckers oversleep here too. Basic meals, and alcoholic beverages too.
