F.From the moment I rang to check the availability of a room, I felt that we would be made welcome. We were greeted by our hosts excited wee dogs, (they were looking at us through the venetian blinds in our hosts accommodation). Dale, gave us some good advice as to where to get our dinner. This we totally enjoyed. The room was exactly what we wanted with a comfortable bed and amazing shower! Well set out and we both loved the Poppies canvases on the wall. Would recommend others to book in for a relaxing time with a great host that was extremely knowledgeable about the area.
K.Very welcoming and friendly owners, they upgraded our room for free due a cancelation which was really nice. Ivan and Dale went above and beyond to make us comfortable, they even let us use their washing machine and dryer. Room was beautiful and clean, large sized shower and great water pressure. Air con was much appreciated as it was 30+ degrees outside. We stayed in Paeroa as we were attending a music festival, very accommodating hosts. Will definitely be back when staying in the area!
L.Lovely night at Racecourse Motel, room was very clean, fans in lounge & bedroom, kitchen has everything you need & what’s really cool is the deck at the back of your room that gives you access to a huge bbq area. The gardens/lawns were immaculate! Very friendly hosts, very welcoming. Great little spot in Paeroa! We will be back 😊🤗
H.We had the best stay, we only got to stay one night but will definitely be back to stay again. The room was cleaned to perfection and presented so perfectly. I had a couple of questions and needed to check in earlier and they replied straight away via email and had no problem letting us check in early!

B.Accomodation excellent , owner so friendly and welcoming. After our bike ride we entered our clean unite . She was so approachable and gave us a ride in to the town ship , as regarding no taxi At that time . A great big thank you and we would stay there anytime.
h.Our hosts were super friendly and accommodating! The rooms were really clean and spacious and has a mini kitchen! It has a back deck where you can enjoy a bbq and is in a very handy location. Beds and pillows were super comfy!

I stayed here with 2 friends for 2 nights solely to be close to a festival in Waihi. We were all blow away with how clean and modern the motel is. The photos do not do this place justice.
There is also a lovely back decking area with a BBQ to relax after a long day at the beach.
The rooms are spacious and have kitchen appliances you may need including free tea and coffee.
The location is actually perfect,within walking distance to Paeroa but only a 20-30 min drive to waihi beach. Heaps of walks/stop offs on route too.
Lastly the hosts Dale and Ivan are just wonderful human beings, the communication and professionalism from the start to the end. Really helpful. I've stayed in accom all over the world and it really does make a difference when you recieve such great hospitality! We will defo be back! Thanks Again!

W.Great place to base yourself for the rail trail. We were able to store our bikes in a locked shed. Our room was beautifully done, quiet peaceful and awesome shower. Ivan and Gale are great owners

G.Recently stayed at the Racecourse Motel and what a delight - for sometime now the previous owners allowed the property to run down to a state you wouldn't look twice at then along comes Dale and Ivan with Charlie and Willow their little dogs and wow - they have bought the property back to a clean tidy and comfortable state and Dale and Ivan are made for this business - absolutely lovely people - well done and look forward to returning - thank you so much - Graham and Lorraine

D.Awesome host and cheap accommodation with facilities good enough for a short trip. If U want to take a break from a long drive this place is for you. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit which was comfortable for 4 people. Very neat and tidy. Well definitely come back.

We stayed there for 3 days and loved it the entire time. The host was both helpful and professional, he even let us check out late because we slept in after a hectic weekend with sports tournaments. Overall both humble and comfy place stay with the most friendly staff. We will return in future.

D.Stayed here over the weekend for a night with my husband and son as we were attending a family 70th. Room was very clean and tidy, bed was made so well :) and the bathroom was so clean :). Kitchen was a little old but seemed to be fully equipped - fridge, oven, stove, sink, jug, utensils and crockery, it even had a little bin for recyclables which I really liked. We only used the kitchen to make a cuppa. Will definitely stay here again when we are next in Paeroa. Tony is so friendly and easy to talk to, thank you again Tony :) We really enjoyed our stay.
D.Great hosts and excellent position but a typical old motel. Small rooms and dated decor but for a cheap overnight stay it has everything you need. So it's not the Ritz-Carlton but it doesn't cost an arm and a leg for a place to rest your head.

D.Typical 70s era motel with a few modern twists. Impeccably clean and comfortable. Tony the owner is the host with the most, engaging and always willing to go the extra mile for his guests. So if you're just passing through or looking to explore the Hauraki Railtrail and you want a place to lay your head that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, drop on in to the Racecourse Motel Paeroa.

Efficient electric heating. TV included. Super clean room, well presented and well maintained like new. Regarding the bathroom, very very clean, pretty, equipped for elderly too, heated floor, shampoo available. Many electrical outlets. Also, the ecstasy facing a super fast internet connection. A lot of storage. A lot of little attention. Parking includes. 100% recommended. So if you get lost in this village, do not hesitate to go, you will have a good place to sleep for a good price.
