Really appreciate the service from Morgen who let us check out an hour later on short notice! Also nice to know that we stayed at a family owned place, your story made it that much better. C.A great place to stay. Room was very spacious, and especially liked the mezzanine bedroom that separated living and sleeping. Outdoor spa was welcome after day's activities. Good storage space for mountain bikes. This is a good place to chill out for a few days.

J.Lovely motel. Clean, tidy, quiet and really large and well maintained units. The staff were awesome and the GM, Boris (the Motel cat), checked on us every night to make sure our stay was satisfactory:) I would highly recommend the Arista to anyone planning on spending some time in Rotorua . It was great value too - so we got to spend a bit more exploring some of the awesome activities around the region.
A.The level of care taken with this motel, including the rooms and hospitality, is fantastic. When I come back to Rotorua, this is where I will stay. Clean and tidy, spa pool for each room, rooms serviced every day, and a great story behind this place.
a.Had such a great night while on our stay at Arista! They had cutlery, plates , bowls, pots and pans, extra blankets and heaters , toweled , you name it! They also had an amazing hot tub spa outside with bubbles and it made our night. Not to mention the story book in the room letting us know a little back story of the owners and the place! N.Awesome place to stay... so spacious, clean and warm. Went out for the day and came back to a clean room, fresh towels and set beds which was great! Playground was so convenient for the kids. Thank you to the lovely owners and housekeepers for the amazing stay. Definitely recommend!
m.Was a nice place to stay, there were 6 of us and was very relaxing place. The beds were comfortable and the spa was an added bonus. Only bad thing was the tvs. They have zero sound quality and had to turn up to 100 to hear properly but nobody really cared because they give you 30gb of free wifi everyday. The main guy Malcome is cool as too. Thanks

The cabins are really modern, clean & they have everything you need inside them. They are cleaned daily & I love that. I love the upstairs down stairs flow & the staff are lovely. Heaps to watch on tv. They have a bbq area & even a park for the kids. They also have DVDs that you can hire from reception that I thought was a major plus.
There's a beautiful hot tub out the back that just won me over. Really topped the beautiful place off.
They have a beautiful cat that roams the place aswell.
5 stars. Deffinately going back if I ever go down to Rotorua again.
E.Totally exceeded expectations. The kids were blown away when we arrived with a cool mezzanine and lots of beds. The place was a great size, with modern fittings and even a hot tub outside which was a hit! Staff were extremely friendly with lots of local recommendations. Stayed there for 4 nights and would definitely be back if we come back to Rotorua. Only minor downside is the distance to downtown, but that didn't detract from our experience.
M.Beautiful motel! We had a wonderful stay in our family mezzanine apartment, which was spacious, clean, and warm. Relaxing in the courtyard spa pool was a perfect way to end our day. The manager had exceptional customer service, as did the owner. We will definitely return here when we're next in Rotorua.
B.Spent 2 nights at the Arista and couldn't have been happier with not only our room (RM 15) but the service by the staff and owners of the hotel.
The room was a well appointed loft apartment with everything we needed, bed was clean and comfortable, apartment was clean and fresh and the outdoor private courtyard with spa was lovely!
It was great to see a fellow aussie Sarah running reception, she showed us to our apartment and also gave us some great local places to visit and things to do.
Id highly recommend staying at the Arista of Rotorua.
D.Great size, clean and staff were very friendly. One of the electric blankets was not working and while it didn't bother me the staff had it changed over without a fuss. They recommended a Maori experience which was awesome. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.
G.Fantastic Place, Clean, affordable and perfect for 4 of us. The Host Mike allowed us to check out later although he was full. He asked the cleaners to do our room the last. Because I had 3 kids he invited us to his private pool at his house since the weather was bad. What a perfect host
R.Too hot. I’d love to leave a higher rating but with no air conditioning in summer last night was brutal. They did put out fans but we still had to wet hand towels and put them on us to even get close to sleeping. Rooms are large and the people are helpful, I suspect they don’t get a lot of warm weather. It was only 25 degrees for a couple of days but since the windows don’t really open and there are no screens it’s not really possible to get a breeze.
R.The staff are so friendly and accommodating - they really couldn't get any better. Bed was super comfortable and everything was super clean and tidy. I will be staying there again on my future work trips to Rotorua. It was a great experience thank you so much!
C.Should have stayed here for longer! We didn't even get to use the hot tub... but otherwise this was such a great place to stay, it was quiet, centre of everything, clean and spacious, and had such lovely service. And their funds go towards charity, very humble place.
T.Housekeeping were scrupulous and as helpful as the owners. Friendly and helpful staff. Mostly in the form of a friendly welcome and excellent service. Has an onsite laundry (coin operated) which is handy when travelling with children. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone staying in Rotorua.
T.Our NZ guidebooks told us not to expect much from the accommodations in Rotorua so we were pleasantly surprised by Arista. The rooms were beautiful and purposeful. Perhaps an automatic night light on the stairwell would be good for people …
M.The owners were plain fantastic, they let us get into the room to unpack while they were busy checking someone else in and came to see us to help and give us good tips for the area.
The room was very big (two floors) and we had a private outdoor hot tub which was very nice. The room does lack AC because the sulfur in the air (normal for the region) could kill an AC unit quickly, but opening the windows before you go to bed, and the bug spray in the room worked well enough.
The room came with free internet for up to 6 devices and 3GB of usage per day, which are both very generous and much better than the average elsewhere.
If all places I had been to had so many positives as this one, my travels would have been bliss :)

M.Great little spot to stay, Faye was very helpful and friendly,👍, a nice walking distance to the shop's as well. Just one thing though, the staff need to try the showers, needs more pressure, at least enough to wash the soap off 😏. Would stay here again though, I hope I get the chance.👍😊

P.Probably one of the biggest motel in terms of floor area. Comes with 3G Wi-Fi for 6 devices per day.
Two level, ground is the kitchen, dining, toilet, a double bed and a spa at the back, upper level has two single beds and another double bed. So quite spacious for a motel.
Staffs at front desk are quite helpful. But you have to remind them the places you're going to visit before they give you the corresponding discount voucher.
Generally nice and tidy, a bit old in terms of decorations but manageable.
K.When searching for a place to stay in Rotoura, we had a hard time finding options other than motels or the Polynesian Spa. We wanted something in between and took a chance on the Arista. We were not disappointed. We booked the One Bedroom Mezzanine which had a kitchenette, bathroom and living room downstairs and the bedroom with a queen bed and 2 twin beds upstairs. The unit wasn't brand new, but it was clean and well appointed.
One of the best benefits was the local knowledge of the front desk staff. He knew pretty much every option to be explored in a 20-mile radius, and he had discount offers at all of them. Don't be afraid to ask. They will make sure you are taken care of.
There is a washer and dryer on-site but plan ahead because lots of the guests take advantage of it.
The shower in the bathroom does not have a door or a ledge around the edge on the floor, just a curtain, so the bathroom floor ends up very wet and slippery.
Be aware that the unit does not have air conditioning, so there's no way to block out the smell during the summer months. On some days it is barely noticeable, but on others it can be very strong.
Another thing to note (and they do spell this out on the website) is that the free wi-fi only includes 3GB in a 24-hour period. Anyone with teenagers knows that can be exhausted just by checking SnapChat several times. You pay for additional usage after the 3GB.
J.If you're looking for a fantastic place to stay, close to shops and places of interest around Rotorua, this is perfect. The Motel is clean, tidy, spacious and well-equipped, conveniently located to everything!
Hosted by the friendliest and most genuine people, dedicated to making your stay memorable ... and absolutely nothing is too much trouble!
These guys also give so much back to their community in donating part of their profits to local charities.

T.Great location, easy walk into town then come back and relax in your very own private hot tub. Highly recommend the Arista I particular the Mezzanine rooms that sleep. In between Te Puia (a must see) and the town centre. It's so much more pleasant to eat in our own dining area than to huddle in a cafe or restaurant.

T.Located close to a lot of the local tourist attractions and places to eat. The staffs and the owner are very helpfull. Parking is directly at the door, laundry facilities were available (and used) and the property was very secure. We will definitely be staying at Arista each time we visit Rotorua from now on.

B.Arista of Rotorua exceeded our expectations. We had a last minute booking and not only were they most accomodating for our family of 5, we also were provided with secure parking for our 6m boat!
The accomodation was very clean to a high standard, had everything we needed, including a portocot and fully equipped kitchen. The playground went down an absolute treat for the kids.
Will definately be our go to when we go back to Rotorua.
