J.Lovely staff. Very homely feeling units. I think the only thing missing was a fan for the room it was extremely hot when I was there and the lounge air-conditioning didn't cool the main bedroom. Apart from that it's a really lovely place to stay. Will definitely be going back.
V.What a fantastic get away. Sustainability conscious by giving you the choice to keep your towels as long as you like (hanging them up as opposed to leaving them in the shower for collection), and opting to not have your room serviced. This is amazing to have the choice and I commend them highly.
I was treated by my partner to even have the spa in our room! So tidy, and a great get away space.
K.Lovely welcome at reception from friendly couple. The one bedroom unit was great, enough room for three adults (one slept on the pull out couch in the living area). Outstanding shower pressure, fantastic ! Nice swim in the heated pool. Clean and nicely decorated unit, would recommend.
J.Clean and tidy rooms with nice clean smelling linen, warm, private rooms with big awesome spa bath. Polite and considerate owners. We have been back several times and each time was just as good as the last visit.
J.The place is neat and clean. There are bathtubs (spas) in the rooms so it is very convenient to relax wholly at the end of the day. It also hosts a laundry possibility as well as a gym, which is more like a small room with some weight lifting apparel.
The location is a bit off of the centre and all the tourist services, but there is one great restaurant (Urbano) near as well as a large convenient store. Location is not a problem if you are by car, but we were by foot/public so some extra effort was required. The kitchenette offers a burner, but there is no air intake above it so you can't actually cook any meat on it easily.
The staff is nice and helpful as per the New Zealand way. Rooms are serviced if necessary, meaning they try to avoid waste by not making your bed if there are items on it, or not washing your towel if it's not on the floor. This was a nice addition since we appreciate green values.
S.Lovely. Lovely staff, nice aircon, very simple layout. Under promise & over deliver. Their free WiFi worked well, small kitchenette was fine for making dinner/bfast and the spa bath was very nice.
N.The room was ok, but there were a few issues.
1. There was no working range hood above the hotplates, so the smell of cooking was very hard to get out of the room.
2. No lift for baggage, so plan for this.
3. The lock on the door was not secure
However, it's a nice place to stay, there's a nice barbeque area and a pool that's clean.

C.Lovely place to stay! Very friendly owners and very well run motel. We took some time look around the lakes and surrounding area, Rotorua is actually really pretty. The room is very clean and everyday service was comprehensive. We had a great time. Thank you for your hospitality!!
S.Room I was in was exceptionally clean and the bed/bed linen was like sleeping on a cloud! Would have given 5 stars except for the fact I could hear guests in the adjacent room talking most of the night, attributed to the fact there was a connecting door between rooms. Would absolutely stay here again!
I.Great value for money, a very warm welcome and a free upgrade to a spa room. The rooms are very clean and tidy and although there are 2 levels of rooms, you can't hear any noises from other rooms. The bed is super comfortable, spa bath ,which is huge, is a real treat. Nice and handy to everything in Rotorua. Would definitely stay here again.

T.As an Account ***ager I am away from home regularly and am very particular about the motels I stay in. Our breakfast delivered each morning was yum and the room was very clean. Nicely furnished rooms. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, including cleaning staff. The staff were awesome.
L.Our stay was amazing! The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly set up for a family. On departure we were unsure if the Napier-Taupo road would be shut due to high winds. They said if we got stuck to call them and they would call their contacts in Taupo. 10/10 for service !
S.Was ok, probably a bit on the shabby side for what we paid per night. The bed was comfy and water pressure in the shower was good. Spa was ok, make sure jets are facing the right way. At check in the lady was a bit rude but at checkout the man was nice. First time as an adult in Rorotua, prob would not come back.
L.Very clean and tidy one bedroom apartment with very comfy beds. Central to all the popular tourist attractions in Rotorua and friendly reception staff. Pay TV was a nice extra and free parking appreciated!
We stayed on a second level apartment and it is EXTREMELY wet and slippery when it rains. I'm 21 weeks pregnant and completely slipped over walking (very carefully mind you) to our apartment door, and so did my husband whilst carrying our toddler up the stairs. There is no shelter at all to stop the rain from these walkways. A recipe for disaster in our opinion and very easy for someone to get hurt in wet weather. The other negative was that the spa was dirty on arrival and when we turned the jets on that night, it was obvious it had not been used for ages. Lots of black bits and pieces come out into the water.
We would stay again however only in a room on the lower level.
T.The best place we have ever stayed in throughout the whole of NZ. Excellent to spend time there after a busy day sightseeing. We found the owners to be very helpful in pointing us in the right direction on what tourist attractions were best to see. We were given a lovely breakfast every morning.
S.Stayed one night at this comforting motor Inn, friendly greeting from reception who are very accommodating. Clean, crisp comfortable rooms with access to free WiFi.
Generous portion of milk given for tea and coffee and someone had gone to alot of thought to making sure the room is packed with amenities any guest would need. We had a comfortable luxurious stay and I recommend the Emerald highly. Will be our first choice of stay in the future. 10/10
C.They clean your room even if the sign says no? They do a good job. Beds are good. They're Air Cond and the little kitchen is great for the sleepy heads at the end of the day even thogh good foody's are catered for nearby. Very Clean
T.The prices were fantasitc and the units were great. The TV got a large number of channels, and we enjoyed several movies on the movie channels during our stay. Everything was very clean. The location is very convenient to visit Te Pui and close to the road that runs to the Buried Village and redwood forest.
T.It's a great location on the main road (Fenton Street) and it's a 15-20 minute walk to the main eating area and lake. The owners were very friendly and helpful and even showed us where everything was and how to work the appliances in our room. The service was fabulous.

R.Nice clean, good sized rooms. Main thing I recommend is if using the spa ensure the jets are facing downwards, not up... we nearly had a bit of a flood because of that

T.For around $130 a night, this was the best motel we stayed in. The ***agers took us to our room and provided some cookies and chocolates which is a nice touch. Robyn was such a nice lady which sometimes is rare in dealing with the public all the time.
T.We stayed in the honeymoon suite, which had a huge round spa in the bedroom beside the (soft and very comfortable) bed. Big thanks to all the staff at the Emerald Spa Resort. We would easily choose to stay there again and recommend it to any of our friends.

S.Very nice and well presented rooms. Clean! Very reasonable pricing. Five minutes walk to town and another 5 minutes walk to the lake. Must mention that the staff were very helpful and charming.

T.What a pleasant experience staying here. I would recommend this to Rotorua visitors who have a car and don't want/ need to be in the center of the city. There is no restaurant on site but the ***ager can give you directions to local restaurants or to the supermarkets that are nearby.
