P.The location of this resort is great, with easy access to both lakes Rotorua and Rotoiti (my favourite). The place has a mix of owned houses and resort houses, so your experience may vary a bit from home to home. Still, the two I saw were in good condition and the personnel was very helpful.
B.My Mother and I only stayed for 2 nights but had a very nice stay. Everything was clean and tidy not only in the unit but the grounds aswell. Staff were very friendly and helpful and to the chef and waitress amazing food cook perfectly and service was outstanding. Thank you for all the hard work you all do in making it an enjoyable stay. Will certainly stay here in the future.

m.Ramada Resort is an AWESOME place to stay. Our kids loved the pool and we loved the spa, the rooms are neat and how you could look at the ducks on the balcony was great!!!!

j.Nice resort in a great location overlooking Lake Rotorua from the northern end of the lake. Our unit was very nice, clean & staff were really friendly & helpful. We liked the design of canals around the units but there were no boats/kayaks available onsite. Apparently some are coming so that will be nice. The cafe/bar was not open & outdoor spa was small & not well maintained. Pool will be nice over Summer. Some BBQ area's for guests to use. Walkways/ bike trails nearby. Heaps of birdlife, quiet & restful surroundings.
N.Our 3 bedroom chalet had everything we needed. It was constantly warm thanks to heatpump bcos a couple of nights it was freezing outside. Lovely place to stay restaurant catered our requirements well. WE will be returning without a doubt. Thank you Ramada. Our wee group thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay
s.Loved it! We had a beautiful 3 bed apartment. Right on the lake. Great amenities. Was kid friendly. Would absolutely book in again. Only thing was it wasn't in town but town isn't far away.
B.Our 2 bedroom could sleep up to 6 adults with the use of the pull out couch. Superbly fitted out with a full kitchen, full size fridge, pots and frypan and dishwasher. Heat pump and electric blankets kept us cosy. Washer and dryer if you needed it and plenty of towels on the heated towel rail. So much to do in Rotorua and you can play tennis, table tennis, outdoor chess or have a dip in the spa pool. Love this resort!
A.Very clean and tidy 3 bedroom unit (25). Kitchen a little small for cooking in but we managed, more about the space than anything else. Staff were extremely helpful. Facilities clean and good standard - tennis racquets and sports equipment good standard and well maintained. Pool heated to a good level, kids had fun. Gym was on the basic side but again well maintained. Didn’t eat so can’t comment. Would stay here again - comment from the kids was that it reminded them of Fiji/Samoa with the sunset over the lake. This place had a nice feel.
M.We stay here every time we visit Rotorua. The rooms are always clean. The facilities are fabulous and just a hop skip and jump to town. Pool is fabulous, spa is nice too - but does get busy.
M.Great concept with units and boat berths in close proximity. A restaurant on site with loads of other things to do also available. Chanel is not always able to be navigated due to sand bars. A popular boat ramp with access to lake Rotoiti is however close by. The smaller the boat the better your chances on the chanel. Mostly friendly staff. Be aware units are not serviced during your stay.
C.Had 3 nights in unit number 18 at the end of May with my daughter and two little granddaughters . Weather was dodgy , even got hailstones but it didn’t matter in this well equipped , (for. 8), clean and warm unit . Good lake frontage with views and safely fenced . Kids loved it .
D.My wife and I stayed at the Ramada Resort in Rotorua for a week and we were able to obtain an extra day through the diligence of Janice in the office and the graciousness of the Resort Manager. Although the facility is aging, it is clean and comfortable. All staff are easy to engage and were very helpful. The grounds and amenities are well kept, a top gym, a wonderful spa, pool complex and a great Club House bar, cafe and restaurant which we supported on two occasions. Peaceful surrounds and a great location. We will definitely utilize again.
R.Awesome lakeside views clean an nice to have use of washing machine an dryer. We enjoyed our 3 days stay loved the unit we were in (25) only thing I would've liked to c was a playground for the little ones an mirrors in the rooms.

K.Our unit was stylish and clean, slept us very well for a couple of nights. Grounds were beautiful and my kids had lots of fun. Restaurant staff were lovely and friendly, however very disappointed with the creme brûlée, tasted like hot custard and the top was not a hard shell like proper creme brûlée should be, it didn’t even crack, was quite soggy. Other than that everything else was great
D.Nice reasonably priced, family friendly accommodation and facilities located about 13km outside Rotorua. Little to no sulphur smell, facilities included a heated pool, spa, tennis court, table tennis, giant chess board and lovely grounds. The accommodation itself has a number of options including chatel's, executive chatel's (essentially a chatel with an ensuite but no baths), 2 and 3 brm apartments. Located right on the Lake, however the wind direction and strength meant the Lake wasn't usable, but we did a kayaking trip down the river which was great fun!!
S.This is one of the best get aways in Rotorua. This resort has suites suitable for a whole family for a cheaper price compared to just one room in hotels. The view is just amazing. It is about 20 mins away from town but even the drive alongside the lake to the resort is very pretty. I personally would choose this everyday if I have to

B.The rooms were well appointed and if you want somewhere to stay away from the main city area of Rotorua, then this is a good place. However, the main reason for staying there would be the lake, so if you don't get a lake view room and get a canal view room (picture attached) then being away from the main town may not be worth it. We also had a large group check in (a few families) so the close proximity of the town houses, and the fact that they were there for a birthday, meant that it was a little noisy. Judging by the rest of the resort, this would be rare.
The facilities are very good - heated pool, large, outdoor chess set and a gym that doe enough if you are there for a couple of nights, as we were.
Internet is absolutely no good (<1Mbps). You will need to use data from your phone.
You will need a car to get to anything, such a groceries and the tourist spots in Rotorua.
The staff were knowledgable and helpful.
D.We loved our brief time at the resort. Staying by the lake provides not only beautiful views, but puts you in direct contact with local wildlife, including swans, ducks and other birds. The self-contained room had everything our party needed, a really good shower, awesome beds (with electric blankets), and a fully equipped kitchen. Very friendly staff as well. Definitely recommend!
A.Nice, clean, cosy rooms, having very nice and new facilities and kitchenette. Nice small swimming pool for the kids to enjoy, it has a spa also.
Situated right next to the lake, allows a beautiful view and relaxing stroll in the morning, and an excellent location for star gazing at night.
A.Lovely place on the lake. Great pool and BBQ facilities. Lovely staff who are very welcoming. Inside the chalet was extremely comfortable, beds had crisp clean linen and towels for everyone. Loved the washing machine, dryer and dishwasher...life davers. Highly recommend! Only gave a 4 star as 3 bedroom chalet lacked air conditioning and the balcony facing the channel had not been cleaned.
J.Exceptional location with a happy & homely atmosphere. Superb amenities with lakeside views plus canal & river views in addition to a spa with heated pool. The service from reception to management was first class supported by a great restaurant & bar.
We extended our visit for a wonderful enjoyable week. Will return again very very soon.

d.Me and my family consisting of 5 memebers booked and stayed at this beautiful lovely ramada resort for 2 nights last friday night and saturday night and checked out at sunday. Though it is about 20 minutes drive from Rotorua city centre, it is a nice, clean, lovely and quite resort. The apartment unit offers alot of facilities which made us feel at home. The first night of our stay, the general manager made a courtesy visit to us if everything was alright for our stay which was so nice and professional of him. We really enjoyed our stay and will be always be back for the stay at the resort whenever we visit rotorua or go towards Wellington. We be definitely back in summer time for few days as this is one of the bestest hotels in rotorua. Thanks alot for the friendly service. The hotel is awesome and so are the staffs who are so friendly.
Z.Absolutely stunning location and accommodations We stayed in unit 26. All of the units are owned by different people. The unit was right on the lake with a beautiful floor to ceiling window give great views of the lake, island and Rotorua City. It was 3 bedroom one bath with a kitchen and large living space perfect for a family get away. Lots of fun stuff in the common areas like a pool hot tub and oversized chess board. R.Love this place and location. Situated on the water with individual canals surrounding the buildings gives it a subtle charm. There are several options from Ramada owned rooms to privately owned units. Units also very on interior and number of rooms from two and three bedroom. Complaint on two bedrooms would be, the only bathrooms are located upstairs. Great heated pool with a hot tub overlooking the water. Restaurant was excellent! Wonton soup was fresh and so was the fish and chips. A great husband and wife running the restaurant. Close to a great waterfall and just far enough out of town to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
C.Great place to stay though little out of town but easy get to where you need to go. Lots of birds around. Semi heated pool do good for the kids. Also has a spa.

X.Can confirm with other reviews that this is a great place for families. Only 20 minutes away from Rotorua and attractions by car. Walks and views of serene Rotorua lake at door step and you don't have to put up with the sulfur rotten egg smell if you stay in town. Service top class and apartment was of good size, well equipped and modern/clean. Only real issue was slightly slow wireless Internet at night.

N.We stayed in a comfortable two bedroom townhouse. The setting is gorgeous, complete with water views, restaurant, pool, tennis court, giant chess set and boat ramp. The location is great and an easy drive to Rotorua or surrounding areas. We’ll definitely stay here again.

L.Had a great stay. Very family friendly. We did go off season so it was very very quiet. I do think the cafe needs to open earlier then 9am. Obviously it's not busy but when people do stay it should be available at 7am. I do think these places need to upgrade their kettles etc but overall a very neat place to stay.
L.Its a great place to take the family to. A home away from home with wonderful views and its so peaceful its not like a hotel environment at all. We stayed in the chateau and had a wonderful view of the lake. Would definately stay there again.

D.Relaxing family getaway. All units are self contained, modern & comfortable with everything you need. Staff were very friendly and polite. There is a restaurant onsite, small gym, tennis court, chess, table tennis & beautiful swimming pool and spa. Have stayed here many times and have always enjoyed our stay... 5 stars!
I.Unit had a very well equiped kitchen and place was excellent. Only having 1 shower between 5 was a shame. At least it had 2 toilets.
Grounds were spectacular and being so close to the river and lake was fantastic.
Internet in our unit (No. 31) was VERY slow and intermittent.
V.Friendly and helpful staff. I'm so glad we booked a unit here. One of the very best full equipped units we have seen across various cities in NZ. It was equipped with absolutely everything - all we needed was to purchase groceries. Ample car parking and one can park just outside their unit. The backyard has a deck with a large table and seat. The backwaters flow in the backyard and has multiple jetties. We visited in Winter but I'm sure it must be getting used during the summer season. Lots of ducks to keep the young kids busy however please constantly supervising young kids because once in backyard the access into water is not barricaded and is completely open.
Back to the interiors now. The entire unit was clean and tidy. The unit we lived in had 3 bedrooms upstairs along with a large bathroom which also had a washing machine and a dryer. The bedrooms were average size and allowed room for movement after keeping a std large suitcase. The beds and pillows were comfortable.
This resort is about 12 KMs from the town. There is a mini mart about 5mins away by car for urgent requirements. For bulk grocery shopping I would recommend going into town to Countdown or the other grocery stores.
The resort has a restaurant. Can't comment on the quality, quantity or affordability of the food served as we didn't need to use. I did however get a take away coffee which was done well.
There is also a good view available of the lake next to the restaurant. Again please note there are no barricades so kindly always ensure to supervise the young ones.
We would certainly come back and highly recommend this resort.
B.A well maintained and managed property. All the modern amenities that you would expect. A little further out of town which can be an advantage. We will definitely return in summer to take advantage of all the water activities availible
R.Brilliant accommodation and facilities. Great kitchen for self catering. Home away from home. Even more so if you have a boat or canoe. Internet not brilliant but is adequate. Great trout fishing cleaning station and good parking. A Good place to base yourself to explore the region. You will need a car as this is not walking distance to the city.
T.Had a simply wonderful stay here. There is always plenty of things to do. I thought my room was very clean. The bathroom was on the larger side. The restaurant isn't kept very clean. A big thank you to Josie who was very knowledgeable about the local attractions. I was very happy with the room.

M.Nice place set 20 minutes away from the city centre. Quiet and calm atmosphere with lake front views, as well as chalets on the canal. Individual units. Great parking for at least two cars per unit.
T.Few surprises, rooms/towels not cleaned or replaced so you had to wash towels each day ( the washing machine shook the house ) if you wanted extras $10 each. From the moment we walked through the doors we were greeted with a warm welcome. Nice location on the lake.

T.Really enjoyed our stay. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Plenty to do even in winter. One downside was the very limited wifi. Yes the kids had to take turns on their tablets/cellphones - only 1 at once. Seriously? 2016? The soul-less restaurant was empty when we arrived hungry the first evening but the waiter seemed put out that we hadn't booked. So we called his bluff and said we'd drive into town. Yeah he changed his mind and said we could have a table. ☺
T.Price is good for its area. Close to the airport. We loved eating our fish and chip takeaway (quite a close drive) out on the deck. We couldn't hear the people next door through the walls. The restaurant and bar were right next to the pool and tennis court. A really wonderful way to start the day.

T.The rooms are going to be generally clean. We did not hear any noise. There is a plenty of food to choose from. Whatever you need for your stay is taken care of. The canals were a nice outlook from the rooms but were a bit yucky if you look closely. Will return in the future.
B.Great resort. Very nice pool next to the lake. Bar and restaurant were handy too. We enjoyed the water features, canals, and river next to the condos. Really quaint. 10 minutes from Rotorua
J.The Ramada Resort Rotorua is a great place for families. The condo we stayed in had a kitchen and three rooms making it very roomy and flexible. The front desk was also very knowledgeable and helpful and was able to book us three activities, very helpful as we are from out of the country. There are many amenities and the resort is located at a convenient point of the lake.
J.Nice but nowhere to go nearby. Everything is on the opposite side of the lake, driving is a must. Electricity charges appliances very slowly. Lacking some kitchen tools I'd like for cooking (measuring spoons, tongs) Very friendly and helpful staff. The food at the restaurant is AMAZING when it is open (breakfast - dinner on weekends, only dinner on weekdays)
J.Fantastic customer service. We had a faulty oven and Resort Manager who is a qualified Electrician installed a new oven. This level of customer service is beyond anything we would experience in our own homes. The quality of fittings and kit out is better than any other resort / or hotel in NZ, for under $900 a night. IMHO Ramada Rotorua is one of best resorts in the South Pacific region.
B.Beautiful place to stay, although I was just there for the pizza and coffee, both of which were outstanding! Heading back for dinner one night soon
S.We stayed here for around 4 weeks when we first emigrated in NZ. The house was so cosy and fully furnished. I wasn't keen on the washer and dryer in the bathroom. And the shared pool was absolutely freezing. Lol. But overall a very good place to stay. Recommended.
S.Little bit far away from Rotorua city centre but definitely a perfect stay. The apartments are huge compared to a normal accommodation and extremely clean and tidy. Nice hot pool and tennis area. Lake is the boundary of the hotel so you can take leasuire walks in the morning or evening
T.It was our first experience in this kind of hotel. The location on the lakefront is sensational and it would be great to have a boat. Definitely worth the little extra to be right on the lake with a wonderful view back to Rotorua. We were very happy with our stay at the hotel.
M.Friendly and helpful staff. My kids loved the pool. Definitely need a car if you're planning to go to other places e.g.. Rotorua. Accommodation was great but couldn't tell the difference between a standard 3bdrm & a deluxe 3bdrm besides the outlook for the deluxe was more private. To keep costs to a minimum we cooked our meals altho' could do with a rice cooker. Pleased with our stay and will def. return.

E.I only went to the restaurant but the resort looked great! The food was delicious and the restaurant was in a cozy room. Would recommend to anyone! Also order the brownie as it may be the best brownie I've ever had.

s.I was a bit surprised to find there are regular & deluxe units... and I got a regular one. It was adequate (had the necessities and was very clean), but was a bit outdated and no air conditioning. Also was the first place I've been where the reception desk closed at 6pm..?
K.A very relaxing place. This is one of the must place to go in Rotorua for unwinding. The facilities are great. The accommodation, excellent. You've got everything you need.

C.The resort itself is not so special. Its lake view is social. We did not know that Twinlake Villas and Ramada Resort Rotorua are running by 2 different operators although Twinlake Villas are actually inside the Resort. We only knew that until we reached there :-). Anyway, in general, good place to stay. Ony few minutes away from the Hell's Gate interesting place.
K.Delicious lunch, worthy driving from Rotorua. Dumplings - pork and chives - are the best. Kids love big breakfast. Waffles with fruits were great as well.
R.This is a very suitable hotel for children. It is situated at Mourea on the Ohau channel. It Borders on lake Rotorua and also the Ohau channel. Each of the units are self contained with all facilities, full kitchen, laundry. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and living and kitchen downstairs. It is moderately priced. There is no room service, not a big deal. There is a restuarant and hot and cold pools. If you want something a bit different them this is an option. It is situated about 30 minutes drive out of Rotorua.

E.Stayed here for a week with a friend and kids. It's pure heaven, serene, very homely, clean and just beautiful. Downside.... (haaa yes i couldn't miss to mention it)....A lifeless restaurant, the gym needs a make over and the Internet was down half of the time we were there and only one computer/ipad could sign in at a time. ...in this day and age?? Seriously! !! Does the word WI-FI mean something to you. Anyway besides that. ...This resort is a little heaven. Well done!!

T.Our experience was a little bit average. The place was full of insects and there were a number of broken items in the unit. For example the downstairs toilet wouldn't flush properly. One of the dining chairs was also broken.

B.Be careful when booking through 'Booking . com. Make sure you check that the resort has received your booking. We had a problem as they hadn't received our booking but it was successfully resolved by reception.

C.What a surprise this place was for 4 star. The pool was beautiful and food at restaurant again surprisingly good. Rooms were great for a family of 4 with lots of separation and everything you need for a couple of nights. It is further out of Rotorua, away from the main hub but only a 10 minute drive.

Ramada's reputation for quality of accommodation is very good.
I made a reservation at the front of the lake (lake front), stayed 2 nights from October 10, 2017 to October 10, booked on 2017.07.26 at Agoda.com and made a non-refundable option at a cheaper rate, including a Visa card fee total of 378,066 I made a reservation very cheaply for one (the exchange rate: about 835 won per 1 New Zealand dollar at the time of payment). It costs about 184,000 won per night.
The reason why I liked this hostel was because there are three rooms in the room. 3 double beds Single bed 1. The room has a single bed for children and the washing machine and the dryer are also provided in the bathroom.
I would probably have to pay at least 500,000 won per night to get a room in Korea that is a very good place to stay in a resort.

이 숙소가 더욱 마음에 들었던 이유는 독채에 방이 세개. 더블침대 3개 싱글침대 1. 어린이용 싱글침대 1개이고 화장실에 세탁기와 건조기도 구비되어 있는 등 숙소의 품질이 매우 월등 합니다.
한국에서 이런 숙소(리조트의 독채 빌라 숙소에 뷰가 아주 좋은 곳)를 구하려면 아마 적어도 1박에 50만원은 줘야되지 않을까 합니다.
