E.Lovely place, close to the main road but expect the random truck passing by at night you feel like in the middle of nowhere, silent and cozy.
Great facilities, the amazing Spa is a must.

S.Staff is super welcoming and friendly and helpful. They have discounts for activities and they can book activities for you. The rooms are small but secure. The rooms and the bed sheets are clean. The matresses are old. You can hear the street noise, but it is not too loud. It is a central place. To the supermarket 2 min, to the lake 10 min, city centre 5 min. The bathrooms are old and the water pressure was bad, but it was clean. We stayed one night here in a double room. We recommend this place.
D.This place is great. Nice little warm room with thermal heater on wall. Classic old kiwi charm. Everything very well setup, and labeled. The toilets are very clean. Nice clean sheets and duvets. Friendly. SPA pool was too hot for me. Nice outside area. Perfect stop before the @rotoruamarathon Even though it's in town, it's far enough away from the center of town that you don't get night noise. Nice and peaceful
l.I had a single room at $39 per night with bbh card (you can purchase from reception for $45 you get $15 credit toward next online booking) the place was clean.The staff were awesome. The hot pool was great. My only issue is that people can be quite noisy and if you are a light sleeper this can be a problem. It's the best hostel I have been in yet due to the friendliness of the staff and the people staying there. Easy to get to from bus stop too. Thanks everyone 💓
O.There are 2 kitchen, one of them closes from 10pm-8am, which sucks, because in the other is not enough storing space for all people. The rooms are good, the dorm was a 4bed room (2 bunks and the lower beds are king-sized). Outside is a hot-water-pool, heated by the thermal underground stuff in Rotorua, perfect for relaxing after a long day of doing things.
P.Backpacker very welcoming and pleasant (surprising for the number of persons). Two kitchens and enough showers. The owner gave us 2GB pp/day for the wifi (great!). There are several tables outdoor. We had 10% off for two attractions of the region. Perfect ferm double bed. Staff friendly. The only negative point : the place is little bit old-fashioned ; could be perfect with some renovations. We found it neither very clean nor very dirty.
A.Great & cheap backpackers. Very friendly staff who will give you plenty of information about the place to visit nearby. They also provide free wifi ( up to 2gb a day), and there is a spa if you want to relax after a long day. I didn't put 5 star because the building need to be repainted.
e.i am currently staying here now. first week of my experience was peacefull and relaxing! specially during night time. clean room and beds. they have an awesome complete kitchen facilities, free movies on big screen tv, fast wifi, free hot spa, and not to mention the hospitality and super friendly and caring staffs and owners. they gave me everything what i need without even asking 😀 if you want to try, i gotta say, you'll get more of what you have paid for.
B.Great spot near shops and restaurants. Free street parking is available in front of the lodge from 2:30pm-11am. Free parking anytime on the other side of the street. Showers could use a bit of an update but they are just fine for a few nights stay
A.Good prices, well located and the staff is nice and helpful about the many activities around Rotorua.
Room are spacious and the bed are confortable. Two big kitchen with sharpened knifes ! Bathroom are clean, WiFi works fine and the SPA is really nice.
P.Tiny, but clean room... front row to the street though: so very loud especially when trucks are passing by. (We had on of the cheapest room.) Clean and well equipped kitchen. Super friendly receptionists. Walking distance to supermarket, bus stop, city center, atm, restaurants and bars.
C.Basic but nice. Freindly staff although seemed rushed and flustered. Not the cleanest hostel I've stayed in or the best kept but is on a basic level. Basic amenities are included. Not too bad for the price.
K.There are a range of room sizes, a couple of kitchens, outdoor areas, and more surprises each time you turn a corner as you get shown to your room. And it is surprising how many corners there are to turn - you walk in through a little old house but it just keeps on going! We were given a couple of 2GB wifi codes, and more were on offer if we required them.
C.Decent place to crash for a few nights - four person rooms with lockers, good facilites with two kitchens, two bathrooms, good showers, a hot tub and 1GB of WiFi per day - 22 dollars a night for BBH members.
H.Liked spa!! Management ok although sometimes a little distant with locals staying. Need to remember we bring business to them. Only liked premises as they offered spa while there on business. Won't stay there again.
l.I really enjoyed my one night at Spa Lodge. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to others. The spa was nice, get it while it's hot!
N.Great place friendly staff awesome shared facilities. While it's more like a backpacker it worked pretty ok for us as a family with a 5 year old.
V.AWESOME STAFF! We have been a little difficult with booking a tour, she was awesome! We got a nice little tour through the hostel, two kitchens and a spa.
I.The cheapest, you get what you pay for. Place smells of cigarrets and old stuff, the whole vibe is a bit scetchy due to all the people living there permanently.
M.Great hostel, best staff. I would totally recommend basing yourself here whilst visiting Rotorua! Ohhh and there's a natural spa onsite too... What more could you ask for!?

Correct. Locaux communs propres. 2 cuisines dont une ferme à 22h. Ne pas se faire piéger donc si vous rangez votre nourriture dans celle-ci. Ma chambre était très petite mais bon marché.
