B.The facilities here were really nice, both my partner and I loved taking advantage of the spa and sauna. But other than that there was no microwave, cutlery or whiteware to use. Most gardens were overrun by weeds, which is a very easy fix. Wasn't too bad for the price
G.Nice, clean place with helpful and kind staff. The shower pressure is phenomenal! Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser were all provided. The sauna, spa and pool were really nice to come back to after a long day of exploring!

B.Pretty disappointed in this stay! The receptionist wasn’t very helpful, phones in the room weren’t working, fridge leaking, rooms cold and damp, spa pools were nice but annoying to get in and out of because of the lids, sauna nice but overall quality it’s no 4 star which it claims to be
M.The grounds are not looked after...weeds in all gardens even in the spa area which we were not expecting. Our balcony looked like it had never been swept and cobwebs which made us not want to sit out there. Though the massage in the spa was great..the carpets had not been vacumed and our appointment was at 10am. On the brighter side the restaraunt food was good and the breakfasts huge. They no longer do lunches. They do need to upgrade the website with menus etc as much smaller and different. I do not usually do a review but feel this is important. I am not a fussy person but had more expectations. The place needs a good tidy up. The staff are very friendly.
K.Best resort to spend your wrkend . Staff are very friendly and helpful. The Manager and his partner they awesome people and they perfectly suited to run the business. I will prefer this resort to anyone for anything. Best location . Rooms are clean and comfortable. Very safe and everything are there for you to enjoy. Thank you Wai-Ora resort staff and the management for looking after us while we spent our wrkend there. God bless.
T.Beautiful setting, can't fault the location at all! Staffs are friendly. Sofia at the front desk and Katy at the spa are amazing. I booked in a Suite the room looks a bit tired, but to be expected, great layout, next time will definitely grab the lake view one. Totally recommend 👌
D.Friendly staff, easy check-in/check-out. The room itself was nice, with a divider between the lounge area and bedroom. The bathroom included a spa tub, which was excellent. The on-site restaurant was a bit expensive but served tasty food. Overall, a very nice hotel experience.

The Lakeside view, stunning😍. And then the restaurant is another level. The food is beautiful, I have been to many restaurants through Australia and New Zealand and this is one of the top restaurants I have eaten ate. Compliments to the chef. Beautiful staff, I will be a regular.

E.Love this gorgeous place however we got the room right by reception so everyone looked into our room. We had to close our curtains all day . Plus it can be pretty noisy with new people walking as our room was just across from reception . The spas are great and hot pool too.. Saunas here are nice and clean and tidy. . Rooms are great clean tidy and room serviced daily. We had 2 single beds very comfy. If you have heaps of baggage there might not be enough space to put huge suitcases. There is a couch in the room a TV which we have not used but it has sky.. and huge shower dressing gowns and slippers for the pool area and coffee and tea corner with a small fridge. Very close to the ocean I love this place its away from noisy town and pretty quiet but not to far away either. Can get noisy in the morning with people walking around close to reception area where we were. Kind staff. Dining on site. We didn't use it as we went out most evenings with events
M.1st the place was immaculately clean!our room was supposed to be cleaned daily,but sadly after a day out,we came home to our room which hadn't been touched,rang duty guy and he brought us clean linen ,very disappointed as we paid for the service ìn our bill!! Disappointed there was no sky ,4 channels ,Netflix ,that's it!!hard pillows,for a 4 star place,restaurant rather expensive at $38 a meal,so takeaways it was!!overall,we wouldn't return there,as we can get more for our money elsewhere i am sure!!I did suggest a small refund due to no room clean or clean linen til requested,but no response,have to say its in a lovely setting

R.Very well appointed suite in this spa hotel right on the lake front. Good walking either direction around the lake. Room had everything you need including kitchen sink although no cooking facilities. Double person spa bath is a plus. Rooms have great lake views. Restaurant serves good food as well as full breakfasts, not buffet style but specially cooked for you. Dinner was good.
T.We stayed 1 night and would have loved to stay more as there wasn't enough time to really enjoy and experience the place. We went on a friday night and it was really really quiet, went into town for dinner. Great location right by the water and a fresh choice and mcdonalds are right down the road. The 2 big spas were really lovely outside with greenery and another small heated pool. Didn't use the sauna or massage etc facilities, or restaurant. The room we had was just perfect for us, large bathroom, large bed and extra pillows were a plus. Kettle and cups and fridge, no coffee though, only decaf :( the tv had netflix etc and freeview that we enjoyed. Heat pump in the room too! Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the sun and the view. the location is really great! Reception was lovely and friendly, but it seems they are running on a skeleton crew, it didn't impact our stay as there were only a handful of other visitors. Breakfast was said to be served from 7am to 10am but no lights were on and couldnt reach reception at 7.30. May need to be clear that you are wanting an early breakfast. Menu was fine quite kiwi, I wouldn't call it luxurious, just a casual yummy eggs and bacon and homemade potato hash. I'm not sure if it was because they were very quiet that weekend or how they normally are, but no drinks were offered with breakfast, only filtered coffee and milk etc so phew.
Really enjoyed my stay with WaiOra anyway , all the best for them and I would love to come back and help support them.
F.Room was spacious and clean. Limited kitchenette things. Restaurant also doesn't offer the same food as website so this was disappointing. It made it difficult to feed my family as the rooms dont allow self catering. The location is great with hot pools and jacuzzi. I will definitely recommend a massage at the spa.
M.To best of my knowledge... don't think I even know where this resort is off the top of my head(I am really confused here and slightly worried 😟🤯/and very much disappointed that I wasn't coherent enough to relish in the beautiful tranquility of the photo). so with that I suppose I will have to endeavor if I can jog any mental recollection.😁 In the near future
Ps(disclaimer) I do realize that google maps/on my phone, has some how pinged onto this resorts place as I have driven past but in no way shape or form have I ever actually stayed here.
Pps I am though think of taking a short holiday as I write this review. So touché to great advertising.
S.Great facilities, pool can see the lake from pool. Spa is more secluded and tranquil. Easy access to the Lake, the lights of Rotorua look lovely at night.
The downstairs suits are positioned well, however we could hear the neighbours T. V, so not sure if they had it up really loud or if the walls where not as soundproof as one would like.
t.was a very short stay and cosy. Reception was lovely
S.Reception service was done with a smile & she was pleasant to deal with. Very Informative and even let us into our room before check in. Room was adequate, bed hard while pillows were pretty thin. My gripe is with the restaurant. Entrees were fantastic but one main had salmon that was clearly 'on the turn'. Having discretely spoken with the Head of Food & Beverage was told there was nothing wrong with it. Clearly he never smelt it. Wasn't looking for free meal as other food was great but an apology would have been nice instead of insisting 'I was wrong'. Wrote to management but they failed to respond. NOT great customer service. Might go back but would avoid the seafood.
s.Staff were lovely, clean and warm rooms. Great spa bath in room. Bad points were Bed was not very comfortable and room decor quite dated. Overall excellent value for money I just would not say it was a 4.5 star resort as advertised on website.

Room is kind of average.
But spacious. Especially bathroom
Small seasonal winning pool does not provide heated water, but it is OK in summer. You can have the amazing lake view when you are in the pool.

Z.Stayed here a while back for a weekend away with friends. We were shown around the area by the receptionist and then to our room. Excellent service and they had the sauna, steam room and spas all heated up early for us. Very clean, quiet and comfortable.
D.The room was great, bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean with a private spa. Quiet rooms too with great curtains we were able to sleep in... Woohoo! After our room was serviced we still had wet towels that weren't replaced 🤷♂️ not sure if we misread where to put them if we wanted new ones though
s.Great place for a luxury escape anytime. We stayed in our own villa with private outdoor area for breakfast. They gave us fresh ingredients daily like eggs and bread and milk etc so we could enjoy breakfast at our own pace, restaurant for lunch and dinner, couple spa massage and facial to finish. We had a great stay.
J.Great, fun 3d art. Need to go twice if you haven't practised your poses. Fleece shop behind it had 50% off when we visited. Mind you, 50% off $800 alpaca wool duvet is still $400.

A.We stayed here for a portion of our honeymoon and it was a great little resort outside of Rotorua. The room was great, wifi not so great. The pool was closed for maintenance. We enjoyed our time around the area and the restaurant was decent.My only issue was when we were washing our clothes, we got a request from the front desk staff to stop doing our laundry, since a long time guest of the resort was staying and they needed to wash their clothes. There would have been no issue, but informing us of another guest's status and the importance of their needs over ours left us with a bad impression.
J.The Hotel is nice but very basic. Not much info in the rooms themselves, you have to ask at reception. The restaurant is nice, my wife is Gluten Free and they don't state on the menu what is GF so you have to ask, and both times the waiter did not not know... Oh and a lot of mould on the curtains in our room.
L.It's a great place to take time out. Close enough to the town to not be out of touch but far enough away to be away from the maddening crowd. Great facilities, loved the sauna even though it keeps dropping in temp and you have to wait a long time before it reheats. The steam room is hot. There are some great front of office staff as well, but unfortunately some not so nice ones as well. As a hotel its good, they do tend to spray something in the rooms that made me choke and want to air the room before sleeping in it - smelt like someone had used a very cheap perfume spray.. Otherwise it's an ok place to stay.
G.It was one of the best SPA known for Maori spa. We visited first to book. It is better to book/ reserve as slots are dedicated. We have enjoyed Hot water tub, Jacuzzi, steam bath, Saunas before heading for body massage. I expected native NZ to do Maori massage but it was Indian. Could have been better
J.Man honestly speaking we've only been here for 4hours and the service the food are amazing... from the moment we parked up the receptionist Sophia was AWESOME ive never had service like this before she is 10/10 would definitely recommend this place
S.Great location, nice looking rooms but the smell in the room was chemical and unpleasant, like if some cheap cleaning chemicals were used.
There are 2 hot tubs but they are very popular so you gotta be quick. Haven't tried the restaurant so no comments on that. The 3 stars is really just for the room smell which was off putting.
S.The duty manger (sorry didn’t quite catch his name)was very informative and helpful. We checked in late and the restaurant was fully booked. When he knew we were just about heading to Macca’s, he made an extra table for us. The food was fantastic, 5 plus stars, especially lamb and steak. The service was very professional, also 5 plus stars!

#.Came for dinner and was extremely impressed. Step back in time a little by starting out with a drink in the bar then through for dinner ... excellent menu and wine list. Food was an extremely high standard and would be on my Bucket List to revisit.

A.Went there for a massage/facial package with my partner. Can't complain at all! The service was great the ladies there were very nice and the treatments were amazing. Been twice before and will be back for sure.

R.Fantastic short mini break. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Rooms all very clean and well appointed. Great spa area. Excellent food at the restaurant and to top off a marvelous massage.
B.Television seems to be over broadband not over broadcast. Therefore some channels are absent e.g. prime but worse they dont seem to have enough bandwidth to support that. So everything froze just before the 6pm news. I suggest you book out the whole complex then everyone congregate in one or two rooms to watch TV. Other facilities good and price pretty good too if you are happy to take a gamble on being able to watch TV.

B.Last week my partner and I were treated to a couples massage and meal at Wai ora. Our massage therapists, Rajvinder and Crystal were very professional and offered outstanding service. The rooms were very clean and beautifuly presented. Both my partner and I were blown away by the experience as it was so peaceful and they made sure we were comfortable. If we could give 10 stars we would. We will definitely be back when we are next in Rotorua!

S.What an amazing day and experience, we had a girls weekend so booked the $99 spa treatment. I have never had a massage in my life, the therapists take wonderful care of you, from the time you walk through the doors and they greet you it feels like you have been there before. You feel like a movies star our experience started at 2pm and we walked out the door just before. This package is soooo worth every penny you pay. See you soon, we are coming back in 3mths. B.Neither much of spa, nor really lakeside, but pretty expensive. It stands on the lakeside, but from the rooms you have no view on the lake itself. Spa is a bit limited, I have had expected much more for the money.
