홍.We really liked to stay here. Nice clean very comfortable bed and handy location. Free carpark was bonus and hope they have a little cafe for Early Sunday Morning for barista coffee. I dont drink instant coffee. Otherwise all good👍😁
J.We had an average experience. Went in peak time so check in was a 45 min wait, room and view were awesome but wasnt clear where the parking entrance was and construction made it meh. Sure it would be better out of peak season.

C.This place is AMAZING!!! Tidy, clean, fancy and friendly. Complimentary wine on arrival to room, located right in town so no need to drive anywhere! Room is perfect and view of old rail bridge across the harbour is fantastic. Couldn't be happier. Bed super comfy, and let's face it, that's all you need in a bed for the night.

C.My first time here and have got to say it has been great. I am writing this while I am still here. Finished 1 night here and have another one left. From the time we arrived, the front desk staff to all other staff were really friendly and fantastic.
Everything was explained really well and the welcome drink was lovely.
The room is really great, very clean, tidy and well maintained. There was a kettle, toaster and microwave and tea, coffee, hot chocolate sachets, some milk for our convenience. Cutlery and a couple of plates included.
We got our rooms on a summer deal which included a hot cooked breakfast which was amazing. We had booked our breakfast for a later time in the morning but changed our minds and called reception who were absolutely obliging and right away changed our breakfast to an earlier time.
All in all a great stay. Also very close to a lot of shops and food places. Sad to see so many shops closed though.

We had a room for two on the top floor, which was clean and attractively furnished. There was a glass of wine each in the room when we arrived (you get the choice of a merlot and a chardonnay before you book in). The staff were professional and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a spa bath. There was milk in the fridge, and a French press coffee maker with a packet of ground coffee that is the right size. The room had reliable internet. The carpark is easily accessible.
By itself this would have been a good room with a nice view towards the water. The selling point for me is that the owners have thought about the small things that make the room, and your stay there, that little bit nicer and easier.
I thoroughly recommend the Hotel on Devonport, particularly at its price point.
D.An ok experience. Room nice and clean. Good harbor view. Asked for coke on arrival but would only serve beer or juice. For $340 per night I expect some 'bending' of a draft rule.
T.Great service, complimentary drink to our rooms on first night and easy parking at the back connected to the building (costs extra). Really clean rooms with sea views if you ask. No room service it seemed which was disappointing. Wheelchair friendly.

Stayed here for one night on a weekend away to Tauranga and was very impressed with all aspects.
The check in experience was superb. The person checking us in was very friendly, she explained everything I needed to know in a polite and clear manner.
Secure car parking is $10 per night and has secure entrance to the hotel.
The location is great, being in the heart of Tauranga, though it is a little disappointing to see many vacant shops in the city. Hopefully the city will be revitalised in the coming years. The strand, where most restaurants are located, was a 7 minute walk away.
The room was a very decent size, and it looked over the city and the bay. The wall length mirrors on the wardrobe and the decorations impressed us.
Very happy with how clean the room was as well as the little touches such as milk in a reusable glass container, rather than a disposable carton - great to see the hotel taking sustainability seriously.
Overall I enjoyed my short stay here. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly and genuinely care about customer service.
Will definitely stay here next time I am in Tauranga.
Q.Went last weekend, had a room filled with the smell of cigarette's smoke. Thought they might have left the window open but, was shocked when we found tissue stuffed up the smoke alarm...wierd nasty...nasty guests😳but cleaning staff should have notice the smell before any new check-in. They changed our room immediately, both cleaning ladies & receptions apologised...gave us 4 complimentary ojs...thanks for the nice gesture, would have given 5...room is clean & comfy thou👍
C.Nice clean hotel in the centre of Tauranga. Our room was very spacious. There was 4 of us to a room and there was plenty of space for us and all our stuff. Beds are comfy. Will definitely stay here again.
O.On arrival, mentioned name and gate was opened. Reception was lovely. Extra card at no cost. It was ok. Didnt like the resident. Over priced for meal. Wasnt that great. Lovely showers. Bathroom was nice. And the gym was pretty reasonable. Parking was good. No trouble finding a park. Found the kitchen area bit pokey. Husband didnt the big mirrors. The bed was ok...except for the big ridge in the middle. During morning was a loud noisey something, everyday you would certainly complain if you needed to rest.
Otherwise we enjoyed the stay
T.The staff at the hotel itself were incredibly kind and accomodating. Good location because it moves perfectly in the city. King bed was extremely comfortable. Great views from harbour view room. Free drink was delivered to room. Check in was easy and pleasant. I was happy with the room set up.

J.Love this hotel. Great service. Food at the tauranga club is delicious. Location in the heart of town, walking distance to shopping, eateries and easy commute into the motorway. Beds very comfortable, baths are huge, and it's peaceful. Can't beat it!

The staff here are really friendly and helpful... we had one lady on Friday night who just made everything perfect, she had. A great sense of humor and when we raised two minor issues, nothing was too much trouble... I really can’t speak more highly of her I just wish I had her name!!
The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 was we had a bit of s water pressure issue in our shower... one thing that does my head in is a bad shower. It was isolated to the room as I’ve never had the issue before.
I highly recommend this establishment...a must stay when in Tauranga.
S.Huge family rooms with relatively new decor. The room is well equipped with toaster and microwave should you need them. The bathroom is massive too with timber flooring. The only thing you need to get use to if you choose to stay here is the scheduled freight trains that seem to run pass multiple times a day.
D.I cannot fault Hotel on Devonport. Great location, amazing rooms and facilities, incredibly helpful and welcoming staff... nothing else could’ve made my stay at HoD better! Perfect for leisure, family or business.
A.Upon arrival staff were very friendly polite and welcoming, The room was tastefully decorated and was very clean and tidy right down to the finer details. Nothing at all to fault on. We have stayed in hotels before and this one is by far superior to others in the Tauranga area

A.Recently stayed at Hotel on Davenport for a quick business trip in Tauranga and I must say everything was exceptional! The room was amazing, location was great and the service of staff was just the best.
The service was really welcoming and authentic (real, caring, amazing people and not the usual "Hi welcome to the hotel, we hope you enjoy your stay, your room is up on level 5 - next!") which made my stay very pleasant and enjoyable! From the second I arrived I was welcomed by both Mar and Shannon at reception who addressed everything I needed throughout my whole stay, and nothing was too much or too hard for them. Having worked in hotels myself, I knew that the two was really genuine and cared about people that stayed at their hotel, and of course the brand. Keep up the amazing work!
I look forward to another trip in Tauranga and will definitely be back here.

The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was fantastic. Organic toiletries and make up remover were a nice touch.

Only thing we regret is not being able to stay longer.
n.Our first night was good although we had to move to a different room the second. Our second night less enjoyable. Shower had no pressure and the coffee filter was broken.

S.Rooms are clean and new. My bath mat is skilfully folded into origami art every day. Breakfast is fantastic and free mints and apples. It's all you could want in a hotel.

T.Husband and I stayed here for a one-day stop en route to a conference. From the moment we walked through the doors we were greeted with a warm welcome. Situated in a relatively good location. We always had transport willingly available to us from the resort. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

M.It is evident that the majority of the building is actually for permanent residenants, a small portion of the rooms being for the 'hotel'. The front of house staff are not trained, they ignore the phone when I called to enquire a out the parking. The reason given that they were busy with another guest, they did not know I was actually standing out the front of the building watching her ignore the phone. When offered our welcome drink, she did not ask what time we would like it. Rather just had it delivered at a random time to the room. No bag carrier available. Room keys did not work, other error by the front of house staff. Room was clean to a sub standard with dust on the appliances. In room menu was a joke with toast costing $10. TV was an old 32 inch with no casting ability or Bluetooth. Hotel would have been acceptable in the early 90's.
J.The location is fantastic, shops on one side, sea front on the other and a few minutes walk from the restaurants on the strip. It was my favourite hotel in New Zealand! We had a room facing the waterfront, I would definitely recommend getting on of these the view was so gorgeous!

A.Amazing space to stay. Shared a Family Room, booked through Expedia with 2 queen beds for myself and another friend. Complimentary wine (glass) on arrival. Quick and efficient service. Crisp linen in room on beds, with grey makeup flannel in bathroom so as to help with removing make up etc without spoiling towels. Be aware: Tauranga doesn't have Post Night-out eateries so you may have to raid the room snacks...
E.Friendly staff and high speed Wi-Fi. Very close to restaurants and two movie theaters. There is a level of privacy and a few complementary items. I enjoyed the stay and would come back again although the aircon I had would benefit from some repairs.

A.Friendly and professional welcome, great location, near shops, bars and restaurants and banks, clean, rooms are functional, bathroom shower had good water pressure, the hotel was served by a good WIFI connection. Only 20 minutes from Tauranga airport and 15 minutes from the port of Tauranga. I will be coming here again. It is a hotel that says what it is and does what it is says.

J.Nice stay and I found it reasonably priced.however make sure you try and get a harbour view room if you can.we had a room on the eighth floor and it could do with some TLC badly however friends of ours had an exceptional room on the 5th .you a right in the cbd and near everything tauranga has to offer.also make sure you book the covered parking as parking is hard elsewhere .
