R.An absolutely wonderful place to stay in Wanaka, just out of central town but an easy and enjoyable walk to the shops & restaurants. Clean, comfortable and great service. The shared kitchen is huge and well equipped. A really warm welcome on arrival as well. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

L.We booked three nights and extend two nights since the place is so clean and warm and spacious. We meet great friendly stuffs always help. Shared kitchen and bathrooms are extreme clean. Kitchen cabinet has space for your own, you can prepare for long stay. You can find kitchen equipment everything here also there is dish washer. Room is warm and cosy. Thank you very much and we will come again.
s.A really beautiful Lodge, clean nice tidy warm a nice walk into town ship next to the lake. And heating in rooms every thing you nee for cooking baking and lots of food storage in kitchen that go's by room number. Absolutely Fabulous.❤👍😀

Super quiet, with plenty of space to chill out, eat and socialise.
Very clean, great shower to be able to come back to after a big hike. Also has a hot tub to sooth those ache muscles. It’s great!

M.Lovely welcome by Jeff who showed us round and found coins for much needed laundry. Able to hang washing outside or dryer if needed. Place was spotlessly clean throughout. Big kitchen which was really well equipped including a dishwasher! Plenty tables to eat at. Nice lounge and area to sit outside. Showers/toilets very clean and well stocked. Bedrooms great too. Altogether happy to recommend.
R.Very nice, super clean place, the staff were all wonderful. You get a room and pay half the price, perhaps 1/2 the of the Ramada Resort which is next door. The Kitchen and bathrooms are shared. This place is perhaps no more than 4 km from the center of town and 1 hour to the parking area for some of the best alpine climbing and hiking New Zealand offers.
H.No luxury but plenty of comfort! Has everything you need for a ski trip included drying room and fully equipped kitchen. Rooms are modest but warm, and there are big communal areas. Coming back in the afternoon to a wood fire in the lounge is fantastic. Recommended.
k.I was a bit worried about staying in lodge accommodation and having to share bathrooms etc. But I had nothing to worry about! Shower was fantastic and beds were very comfy. We will stay here again

Kitchen very well layout - Everything was neatly labelled and it was easy to find things. WIFI while not fast, was good enough for general browsing. Solo traveler rooms available. Walking distance from main centre of Wanaka. Will no doubt consider staying here again.
D.Altamont Lodge exceeded my expectations as a shared facilities accommodation. I was a bit concerned coming in with my wife and two young children that it might be noisy and a bit too “backpacky”. But to the contrary, it was quiet, immaculate, well-maintained and had really good facilities, especially in the kitchen. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was family-friendly. We met And chatted other travellers, which made it more interesting than staying in a self-contained unit. Highly recommended for a more budget-conscious option.
R.Located away from the city centre with only five minute drive. So close to the Wanaka Tree spot. A very friendly and helpful owner. The hotel has bikes for rental which we used during our stay. We ended up cycling around the lake to Alberttown !! Easy and beautiful sceneries along the way, my wife ended up taking a dip in crystal clear Clutha river. What a memorable experience. We will surely come back to this lodge.
S.We arrived in late and exhausted from hiking. Everything was so straightforward and easy on our arrival. Helen was warm, welcoming and helpful. We were able to wash and dry our grubby clothes before having a relaxing dinner in Wanaka. If we weren't so exhausted we could have easily walked. There was a spa to ease the aches. This is an ideal lodge for families and activity type holidays with facilities ideally suited to both. Sorry we couldn't stay longer.
C.Located pretty close to the town centre, the lodge was pretty well signed. The lodge has descent sized rooms, shared kitchen (well equipped and really clean), shared toilets and shower rooms. Helen and Jim (the hosts) were really nice and helpful. One thing that partner and I missed was the spa tub, as it was close the night we were staying.
T.Rod and Noelene the property ***agers were just very warm and lovely people with so much information about the area and things to do. The kitchen/dining facility quite amazing in its size, cleanliness and serviceability. The place is about a 20-25 minute walk from the center of town. Excellent value for money.
T.Wonderful place tucked in a quiet location near the edge of town. Here are my thoughts: Service – Host was friendly and showed us around the grounds. The rooms are a bit small is my only concern but the shared common areas make for good conversation and give the space needed in the evening.
T.In style very much like an alpine lodge but the very best I have ever been in. The staff are beautiful. ***y great hikes at the doorstep. Location – We drove to town, although it was probably a 10-15 min walk from the lodge. The price is very reasonable.
T.I see someone else has said it was a home away from home, and I agree who***eartedly. Bed very comfortable. Nice to see that their little dogs were allowed to sit in the hallway on the blankets while they stripped the beds, even though you can't take a cup of tea into your room.
R.Rob and wife were great and we felt welcome immediately! We got the "honeymoon suite", which was a nice room on top floor. Nice and quiet as there was only another single room.

B.Really nice shared accommodation with a well-set up kitchen - separate fridge and cupboard space for all the rooms. Shared hot tub, and wood fire in the communal living space. No complaints at all.
T.Communal living at its best! Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas are super clean and I love that everything is nearly labeled in the kitchen. The only downside is walls are pretty thin and the guys next door to us were talking until the wee hours of the morning which did not allow for much sleep. It was also very affordable for a 4-person room and close distance to Lake Wanaka & a good running trail. There are some vineyards close by as well.

T.The hosts were welcoming from the moment they answered the phone to my enquiry, and their friendly and helpful hospitality carried on throughout the stay. Place is clean. The lodge is close to town on the road to TC. Wanaka has everything you need for a ski base and sightseeing.

T.Altamont Lodge is a perfect stop for the budget but comfort conscious traveller. The ***ager Helen was lovely and very helpful with suggestions of great activities to do during our stay in Wanaka. Altamont Lodge is located approximately 20 minutes walk from Wanaka town and I took a while to locate the Lodge.
F.wonderful lodge to stay at, warm bedrooms ,cosy fire place in the living area ,good location, clean bathrooms &good kitchen & very helpful managers. We really enjoyed our stay here while skiing.

H.Bunk bed and double bed. The double bed moves. Clean room, shared kitchen with allocated fridge space. Shared toilet and shared showers with limited capacity so you may have to wait to use. Also no soap or sha mpoo provided. Sadly the advertised free wifi is essentially useless.

For shared bathroom and hair dryer, it is recommended to bring all the toiletries (including shower gel shampoo). The only downside is that there is no hair dryer in the shared bathroom for boys. We live in a quadruple room with a double bed and a set of bunk beds. The room is slightly smaller and the luggage for four people cannot be opened at the same time, but overall it is a reasonable price point.

Hotel agradable y acogedor, muy limpio y con personal muy amable. La zona común dispone de sofás, mesas y una amplia cocina con nevera bien organizada con un estante para cada habitación. Además, había fruta muy buena de cortesía en la cocina. El hotel queda un poco alejado del pueblo, es necesario tomar el coche para ir al centro.
