S.The Brentwood is looking a bit tired and worn but it's still a got good enough rooms and facilities to warrant staying. However I'd say the pricing is a bit higher than you'd expect for it.
The rooms were clean and tidy and but the shower in our room leaked considerably along the join on the floor. So much so that we had to mop it up with towels or be paddling around in water on the floor when using the toilet.
Most of the room have a sliding door to the outside carpark. Each room appeared to have it's own carpark but some inconsiderate guest had parked their SUV towing two jet-skis lengthways across 4 parks (including ours) rather than unhitching the trailer and only using two park. We had to park around the corner. Driving around the hotel we actually saw this was quite common with people having boats on trailers and parking across parks inconsiderately so it's obviously something the hotel doesn't have an issue with.
The room next door also had a dog with them that barked a lot and right though the night, and no it was not a service dog - they don't constantly bark. The hotel has a no pets policy but doesn't seem to enforce it as the front desk seem rather uninterested when we reported the dog.
R.Staff were lovely and accomodating. Only thing I would recommend is Aircon in the rooms. Other than that, an enjoyable 2 day stay here

T.Stayed here for a conference. Nice and close to the airport. Facilities are good. Bar is a little expensive but most hotel bars are. Rooms are great. Showers have very low pressure output. Staff are awesome!

Scott showed the chef my meal plan. Within 2 hours, I had an affirmative that the Brentwood's chef can comply with my meal plan.

R.Nice upper middle range hotel. It was quiet, which one needs on a long journey. The best is, they let you have animals, which is very handy when traveling with your beloved pet. We moved and needed to have a night's break for all of us and our pets. We ordered food via room service and it was top range and came promtly; the prices were very reasonable. The rooms were clean yet a little dated, but nothing that one should worry about if one is tired and needs a warm and very cozy bed in very generously spaced room. The bathroom was quite new and very clean and so were the towels. We had a queen bed each, it was heaven after a 10hour drive. Staff was helpful and kind. There was an outdoor pool. My family used it and came back happy. I cannot fault them in any aspect. The location was very handy to the port/ferry. We left the rooms refreshed and ready to take on the last leg of our long journey.

S.Comfortable and clean room and although the decor was dated the bed was very comfortable. Not such a good review of the restaurant. I was the Brentwood Hotel for a conference. Great service at the hotel. Thought we would eat at the restaurant, big mistake. Ordered the steak rare but it came medium rare and dry, no juices at all and as tough as an old gumboots. Complained and they didn't like that. Ordered another meal and said we hadn't finished our sides. They came back on the original plates stone cold. I decided that was enough.

R.Its a great location, lovely older hotel with character, well-loved, awesome pool and bar (you can sit outside with wine) or just look from the bar. Beautiful food at the restaurant, sometimes the food in Hotels is hit n miss but this was great (try the Scallops on Dahl), great streak and beer-battered chips, lovely wines, and beers. Staff very friendly and kind but professional from the front of the house, to the bar and resturant. They have a Shuttle Service which is great. The location is exceptional, close to the airport, the city (for us our family). Def would stay again.

If you're travelling domestically or internationally and live in the Wairarapa or a long way from Wellington then this hotel qualifies as the best hotel to leave your vehicle, get the complimentary shuttle to and from Wellington airport and pickup your with the first 5 days free of parking fees. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff, 5 star. The receptionist lady! Sharp as a tack and knows every aspect of the hotel and the airport. Best I stayed at. Don't change. You guys are great! So glad Brentwood Hotel was recommended by a colleague I'd never have known otherwise.

L.As per previous comments, hotel has seen better days. The decor was a little on the old side. The room itself was large with a door directly onto a patio. The bed was fairly comfortable. The room had a large television with both SKY and Freeview Channels. The bathroom was a letdown. The toilet was old and the shower was really poor. The pressure was low and it kept fluctuating between hot and cold. The onsite restaurant was superb, the meals of fantastic quality and portion. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and made the stay just that little bit more enjoyable. The Hotel is located just under 5 minutes away from Kilbirnie Shopping Centre, with a Pak N Sav and Countdown.

Can’t say I’ve been to a hotel in the last 5 years that had a time limit... would not stay here again JUST for this inconvenience.
In this day and age I don’t understand how you can think limited internet access is a good idea for business.
Regardless, good sized room and bathroom. Heaps of parking and 5 min drive from the airport and the zoo. Nothing to write home about, though.
Edit 1: Also only 1 bed side table which is annoying
Edit 2: The shower in our room is leaking water underneath what should be a water proofed glass wall, so a puddle started forming in one corner outside the shower. Be careful not to slip!
Edit 3: My partner talked about the issues to the receptionist and was very apologetic, offered us a complimentary drink of our choosing but we were on a time limit so couldn’t - but the offer was appreciated so I’ve upped my star rating.

Not an ideal place to stay for more than a day and with children... there is only sky movies and 2sky sport channels plus freeview, which wasn't on when we arrived. Nothing for kids to do except for the pool.
They're not kidding about the fridge... it's definitely a mini bar fridge.
A microwave would have been really handy too.
In saying all of this, it is an airport hotel.
The fries were disgusting and unfortunately there are no kids meals. The after hours menu looked better than the actual menu.
T.Very lovely hotel great place to stay if your flying in or out of Welly. The shuttle service is awsome and saved us so much hassle the rooms were very well sized and was a great place to unwind while traveling.
A.Staff were very helpful, room was perfectly big enough for 2 of us. Shower was great and bed comfy. Sadly didnt get to try the restaurant as we were working late both nights. Would highly recommend.

C.Best thing was the location, close to airport and rental car drop-off. Bed was comfortable, bathroom had been refurbished, appreciated parking close to my room. Plenty of cars in parks but was quiet. Room and hotel in general was a tad tired-looking, and I thought didn't reflect the price of the room (which admittedly was less than other 'flasher' options), but then that's Wellington accommodation, I guess. I didn't try the restaurant as I arrived after/left before meal times.

A.For an airport hotel it was very nice. Convenient to shops and great shuttle service. Food was nice and rooms were clean and had what we required. There is a bit of noise you can hear people through walls and in the hallways. We had a conference and the staff were very helpful. It was a nice large room and didn't have any outside noises. We also had a great view of the pool.
S.Rooms are wonderful. They feel very spacious and beds were comfy. The bathrooms were very clean and had neat glass shower doors. Reception was also very accommodating with rides to the airport and locating a few places for us. My only critiques are that the hallways are extremely creaky and loud. Also it would be handy to have microwaves in the room to heat food up. Both very minor things. Would definitely stay again.

F.It's a fairly old establishment now and looking a little weary around the edges but there is a lot to like about the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. Good range of food and beverages on offer. And the very handy location to Wellington Airport. The ability to leave your car at the hotel for the first four days after staying and pay for additional days whilst travelling offshore is a great feature. Along with the free shuttles to and from the airport
M.Very dated. At the time short staffed on the desk, long waiting time. I felt sorry for the one person processing booked staff, walk ups and phone calls under pressure. Everything I need. My main gripe is you only get 1 hr free internet. And the connection was shocking bouncing in and out. Wasn't worth using.
L.I stayed at this Hotel for work while in Wellington, purely for location reasons. Reception staff were mixed, 1 lady was rather clinical (no smile or eye contact) but a man stepped in and was lovely. Cleaning staff were excellent and very pleasant. We ate in the restaurant and thought it was a bit expensive for average. I'd stay again for location etc but wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

A.Renovated bathrooms with access for handicapped, impressive even though we didn't need such facility. Nice personnel and services. Can't expect too much from breakfast. Sound insulation can be a problem. Quick access to airport and free parking.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Brentwood. Going to both Australia & California. USA, we stayed one night at the Brentwood as our flights were very early morning trips. The accommodations were exceptional, the shuttle service was timely & the driver always gave a great smile whether we were heading away or returning home again. Knowing we could leave our car safely at the Brentwood, takes away the stress of what to do with the car while we are away & stops us from worrying about the car & enjoying or holiday.

T.The room was clean and included ea and coffee making facilities. After arriving on an early morning flight we were collected promptly by their courtesy van. The hotel is not up-market luxury but caters for a broader range of visitor and the staff are as helpful as they can be.
A.Awesome customer service, lovely staff amd room, also has great space to be able meet up with others in the bar and foyer.
T.Fast free airport shuttle service make this place a no brainer if arriving late and/or leaving early as we did. The buffet breakfast was really good and a nice addition to my stay. Excellent 24 hour shuttle service to and from the airportwill be staying here again if the need arises and will recommend to friends.
T.I really liked that the room opened onto a courtyard so we could have the doors open on to it to get fresh air into the room. Not a bad price and I found the speeds perfectly adequate for email and hooking up to work via vpn. Great location if you want to be near the airport.
R.Nice sized rooms clean and tidy but really dated. The location will always be a challenge. The staff are friendly. I think this is really overpriced for the location and state of the buildings and rooms. They obviously cater fro the conference crowd so no need to be competitive. Rack rate of $180 plus is a joke. The food is Ok but only OK also overpriced.

M.Close to airport. Accessing the airport pick up was terrible though. Three different sets of instructions from staff left me in freezing cold wind and rain for almost an hour. Room was grubby. Just not that well cared for. Nice restaurant with good food. But they forgot half my order so salad came well after the rest of the meal. Be sure to request dressing on the side. I forgot and it was dressed with a heavy hand.
J.Good hotel & function rooms. We received excellent meals during our function. Rooms have thermostat heating. Only down is that you can hear water in the pipes if a nearby room has a shower. Handy to airport & around 10-15 minute drive to town.

We caught the airport shuttle bus at 5 in the morning and my friend left her wallet in our car back at the hotel! We rang the hotel and they said that they would race to the airport with the wallet and drop it off at customs which they did!! This hotel is a life saver and the best in Wellington!!

T.Stayed here for a night got just because it is closer to the airport and has shuttle. The room was very, very basic and I didn't have the feeling it was all very clean. We had a 1st floor room and was told we would have to take our own cases up but a friendly employee helped us out.

T.Pak n Save supermarket a short stroll away. The staff in the restaurant and throughout the hotel are friendly and attentive. Our room was as before lovely and the staff were all very nice. We will probably stay again rather than wake family up after midnight when we fly back to visit.
T.Room was cozy but offers little soundproofing from passing guests in the corridor. Definitely worth staying here for a quick stop by. Didn't see ***y alternatives in the area but there is a Pak and Save close by. Breakfast in the restaurant the next morning was very nice and the portions were huge.
J.Basic hotel with simple rooms. 24hr airport shuttle was convenient for us because of our early morning flight. Restaurant on site looks good but didn't end up eating in.
T.Great location to the Asb sports centre. Free for 100mb but if you need more it's $7/ day. In places facilities were a bit dated but they are obviously working their way through the hotel and making improvements as they can. Perfect access for people with disabilities which is a big plus for me.

Comfort of room = Average 3/5- except the comfortable bed, nothing that stood out, The thermostat kept making heavy noise all night(very old style) Hotel room is not insulated enough for sound and being a airport hotel- it was super noisy and guests/staff walking in all night banging doors in the hall way.
Lounge Bar = Poor - 1/5 -Disappointed with the service and attitude of the bar man.was served a flat draft beer.
Quality of Breakfast = Average 3/5, even after taking cooked breakfast, no omellete was offered or mentioned.
Front Office Service = Excellent 5/5, Very good and humble. Nice team we were served by two and well attentive to our needs.
Cooked Buffet Breakfast = Average 3/5- Very basic buffet, do not expect anything fancy.
Overall- Recommend this hotel due to close proximity to the airport and a quick stayover. i still liked the old looking rooms but had a very poor sleep all night due to super noisy rooms/surroundings.
M.Another peaceful stay at Brentwood. Check in staff were wonderful. Appreciated the upstairs room as needed sleep before long haul travel. Stayed often and certainly will again - good value with plenty of hot water!

L.During my visit to New Zealand lately I was spoilt by my son and daughter-in-law. I stayed in the Brentwood Hotel in Welling waiting for my flight to Sydney. What an executive Hotel with friendly assistance from being picked up at the Airport to being treated during my stay and the returned to the airport the next morning. I was originally booked on the first floor but was changed to the ground floor due to my difficulty in walking. To me this was excellent service with a smile and a helping hand from beginning to goodbye. Thanks Brentwood Hotel. You deserve all your stars *****
T.Easy to find and close enough to the airport you could walk. Couldn't hear airplanes as they landed or took off. I went there with a u14's girls futsal group from Australia to play a tournament and they had a great time. I would definitely book here again for an early morning flight.
N.Nice motel with good facilities and good value compared to central Dunedin. Easy access to city centre via various bus routes from Kilbirnie Shopping area approx 250m from the hotel. All in all a nice place for the tourist or business people . It has the bonus of an airport shuttle to the nearby airport.

t.Recently stayed here with our kapa haka roopu for Te Matatini 2019 and can highly recommend this place. The service was great from the day we arrived. The receptionist was warm and welcoming and they allowed us to make ourselves at home - great customer service! I would definitely recommend staying here again especially with large groups because the facility catered to us all! Conference rooms were a great use as well as the breakfast and dining services were amazing! Also free shuttles to the airport was an added bonus! Thank you Brentwood for making our Te Matatini experience even more enjoyable with your hospitality! Ngā mihi nui

M.Thanks so much for your 5 star service! We stayed with you before going to Australia & left our car with you while we were away. The staff were all very friendly & helpful we were even given a free room upgrade to save having to take our oversized luggage we were taking to Australia upstairs. The shuttle service was so easy to use & we got through customs and realised we had left a wallet in our car that was parked with Brentwood while we were away.... we had 40min untill our flight was boarding.... so we called the Brentwood to see what they could do & they had the wallet outside the terminal with in 15min of calling them... so thankful & will defintally be a loyal customer for any trips to come!
A.Nice hotel, could make plenty of noises and didn't receive any complaints. Only negative is that it is far from the city. They do free shuttles to and fro the airport which is nice
T.There was room at the Brentwood and it met our needs. At the end of the day we just needed a bed to sleep in and it fitted the bill fine. Package deal with continental breakfast (extensive) thrown in. Good enough for us to come back again later this year, thank you Brentwood Hotel.

P.Very responsive to disability transportation attangements for their many visiting guests using wheelchairs. They diligently searched out wheelchair transport solutions with Freedom Companion Drivers Wellington Central for 3 international powerchair guest users when other wheechair transport providers wouldn't take rides to international flight at 4am.
H.Only stayed one night as a layover. The room was a little bit tired but Jetstar was paying so that was to be expected. Really friendly staff especially as everyone was grumpy 😃
