M.We had a four night stay at the end of January. First impressions when we arrived were great as the property and gardens are well maintained and quite lovely. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location is ideal - out of the city, but easy to access it by car, bus or train. Public transport is close to the lodge. Our unit was lovely and clean, and also well maintained. We really look forward to staying again.

Murray greeted me when i got to the Lodge and walked me through the logistics of what i needed to do due to Covid safety procedures.
He walked me to my room and we chatted on the way. Lovely People
K.Friendly welcome. Clean, comfortable room. Only downside that the owners may want to address in future is further sound proofing. In our down stairs room we could hear people coming and going from upstairs room and people and and plumbing noises from above
B.Clean with helpful friendly owners and staff.
Unit 12 has the owners flat above and you hear every footstep.
Trains are a bit of a problem especially if you want a window open for fresh air. Needs an aircon so you can leave the window closed and double glazing.
Why have a loudly ticking clock? If you must have a time piece put a digital one in.
Plumbing eventually drains the shower and hand basin.
Lots of building materials behind units looks unsightly should be cleaned up.
T.Lovely couple and great place to stay. Close to train and buses easy to get get around.
K.We stayed there last week for 4 nights. Owners are lovely and helpful, and the rooms were perfect for us. I expected more noise being next to train tracks, but I didn't really notice any noise. We will happily go back. (Togia and Karol)

J.Very pleasant stay. Quiet clean room, complete with a small kitchen, in a delight reserve - the bucket tree is remarkable - and very friendly hosting.
C.Clean, warm and comfortable. Could have done with more crockery and cutlery - only had two of each - cups, spoons plates etc.
m.Lovely place to stay well done for amazing service.
M.Unit was recently renovated and lovely, surrounded by a beautiful park with a river and close to the shops, however creaking floors from the guests above us at 5am were maddening. Manager did their best to sort it out but we were again woken up at 6.45 the following morning. Trains nearby were quite noisy also. For the money we paid I think we could have found somewhere quieter.
K.Couldn't fault a thing. The caretakers while we were staying, Micheal & Gayle were absolutely wonderful people to meet and very kind. Lovely clean facilities, comfy beds, great shower, definitely going back.
A.Stayed at The Bucket Tree Motel during the recent British Lions tour , excellent service from start to finish. Owners and staff could not have been more friendly or helpful .Excellent location for visiting Wellington , without a car. Only negative comment was that we could hear the people in the room above when they walked about. Thanks
J.Asure Bucket Tree was the best place we have ever stayed. From the initial inquiry to departure Lyn and Murray were always attentive and helpful. This was the experience of all our family members gathered together for our son's wedding. The units are comfortable and well equipped clean and warm
S.Above average for a suburban motel. Fastidiously clean, spacious, lovely gardens and a great selection of soaps, coffee etc. Lovely hosts.
P.Trains are close but not that noisy. Rooms nicely appointed, windows now double glazed, beds new. Did not notice trains until awake time, great alarm clock.
K.Super friendly and very helpful. Clean, warm snd comfortable rooms. So convenient to the city and the train station only a 2 minute walk. Highly recommended.
D.Nice stay. Ok rooms. Clean though. One big disadvantage - its right near the rail tracks with trains running all night!
