J. W.we had great stay, excellent location and fantastic room, clean and spacious, Kids love it. What really impressive us was the super friendly approach from the host. He introduce the room thoroughly, which we have never been shown around a room in other motels. He also engage with kids makes them welcomed. Awesome experience, family friendly highly recommend.
M. O.Malcom is cool and always helpful. We stay here every time we're in Whakatane and the experience is always positive. Clean and close to everything you could need One88 should be on your list of places to stay. Our gave feature are the blackout curtains and the fact that there is no TV in the bedroom. Coupled with comfortable beds, this combo guarantees a good night's sleep. Also, the cookies are yum!
A. C.Our room was on the first floor and no help was provided to carry the bags upstairs. Customer service flatly refused to do so. I needed help as I am handicapped. Accomodation is ok.

The room we had, the one bedroom with spa, also above expectations. Clean, modern and caters for couples. Just awesome.

R. N.We stayed here 2 nights had a very relaxing time. Room was nice, bathroom was a bonus with the spa bath. The t.v was a smart TV so we could watch Netflix. Malcom and Liz are very friendly and helpful if you haven't been to Whakatane before Malcom recommends some local eateries, he even showed us up to our room and took us through and explained a few things which was a first for us as we have never had this happen to us before. They have laundry facilities their. Hotel is very well placed being on the same road as shops and food outlets. Will definitely be back again.

The two manager are extremely friendly and really care about their guests. Also the rooms are clean, modern and have a kitchen space as well. Parking places available for free and a massive nice view out of the hotel room 👌🏻😍 I would always come back for sure.

J. J.Clean, spacious modern apartments. Loving the shower pressure and bathroom space. The bed was delightfully comfortable, and the long thick curtains help with a sleep in. Double glazed windows, with slight noise able to be heard from passing traffic.

Hosts were lovely and welcoming and took the time to take us to our rooms and show us where everything was and how to work it (it's been a long time since I have had this level of service). We checked in later (7pm) room heating was turned on and was lovely and warm. We were able to order room service for breakfast and the menu was very impressive. My colleague ordered a cooked breakfast and said it was great. New premise, big rooms, very clean and tidy with and Koha Spa Aotearoa toiletries which are really lovely. A comfortable bed to end a long day, I highly recommend this place. Real value for $$ too.

a.This is the best motel my wife and I have ever stayed at. And we travel a lot. Spacious rooms, impeccably clean and very comfortable. Liz and Malcolm were always around and ready and happy to help and give advice. Initially intended to stay just one night, but ended up extending our stay. Highly recommended if you need a place to stay in the area. Excellent value for money!
Z. S.If you are in Whakatane for business or holiday it is a great place to stay. I have stayed here at least few years ago and I wanted to come back here. The unit is large, very tidy and still feels like brand new. Bedroom is spacious and feels more like master bedroom of a home than motel room. In unit there are photos of local photographer. Bathroom is also big and if you fancy a bath you are in luck – there is a spa bath. Just don’t use is after 10pm. Location wise, it is situated on one of main streets which means more traffic, but this is not an issue since all windows are double glazed. Town centre is 2 minutes drive and supermarket is on the half way to centre. There are plenty of fast food options on the way to centre if you want some quick bite to eat. Owners are very friendly always ready to help, recommend a place for meal or entertainment or just enjoy a friendly chit-chat.

R. H.Great place to stay. Almost 3 years old but seems brand new. Impeccably clean and modern with great facilities including vey fast WIFI, Sky Guest Connect 50+ Channels (decoder in room) and large flat screen tv.
Double glazed windows all around a great for the busy roads either side.
Hosts are very friendly and give a tour of the room explaining everything each time you stay there so no question goes unanswered.
