A. L. L.Excellent location. Friendly helpful staff. Fast, clear communication. Great room - smart, comfortable, clean, everything we needed. Reasonably priced. Loved that it was dog friendly and had a great space across the road for dog walks. It will be the only place we stay at for any future visits. Thank for providing a great base for what was an emotionally difficult visit to Wanganui.
H. B.Host was lovely staff were friendly view was nice. We understand Covid has hit business hard for everyone, happy to invest in NZ travel but please update your surroundings. Beds were not comfortable, pillows weren't either. Just a general upgrade would be more inviting.

P. S.We were fortunate enough to spend a night in the family room with out two little ones and honestly it felt like home. Lounge kitchen hot tub!! and 2 bedrooms with parking right next to the front door. Lorraine was very pleasant to deal with and the property is in an excellent central location. We dined at Maria Lane nearby and the food and ambience were perfect. We will be back for our next Whanaganui Weekender. Cheers

L.Great location on the river, clean, functional and friendly, helpful hosts. We had our 2 small dogs with us and were quite happy with our garden suite. Very handy for walking into town for good choice of restaurants, pubs and shops.
Our last night was eventful as a stray goat came to the door and scared our dogs and us!

C. V.Great price for a huge apartment style motel! Our room could sleep 6 and was fairly clean. Full kitchen and free wifi. Laundry available for $2 to use washer and $2 for dryer. Front desk gentleman was very friendly and helpful.

C. A.Stayed here when the option of camping in gale force winds became rather unattractive! What a fabulous find - highly recommended. The owner is a Scotsman who is full of recommendations of things to do and places to see, friendly and chatty. The room we stayed in was actually several rooms - more like an apartment than any typical motel room. Separate main bedroom with queen bed, a separate bathroom, and open plan lounge/dining/kitchen with two single beds. As we had all our food brought for camping, we cooked in the very well equipped kitchen - a two burner electric cook top, immaculately clean utensils, shining taps and everything you would need to cook a meal. The only things we needed to use from our camping kit were a bread knife and a serving spoon without slats. Highly recommended to stay here - in a quiet area of town alongside the river, and beautifully clean.

C. O.Riverview Motel is located along the river, and it is a nice 15mins stroll from CBD, I-Site, Waimere steamboat, etc... The rooms are spacious, with a very comfortable sofa. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils, and there is a microwave oven, and a fridge that you could use. The TV is mounted on a swivel arm, so you can view it from the sofa or from the bed. The beds are equipped with individual heater, so each can choose the right temperature that you are comfortable with. There is free wifi, but I find it a bis low, and sometimes revert to using 4G data plan instead. Overall I like the place very much, and give it 5 stars.

And the motel is nickel everything is clean and functional. Go there is at the edge of the river and it is very good.

L'accueil est trop important pour ne pas le soigner. Ils l'ont compris dans ce motel ou on vous met à l'aise tout de suite. On vous donne un plan de ville en vous expliquant ou et comment aller. Et le motel est nickel tout est propre et fonctionnel. Allez y c'est au bord de la rivière et c'est très bien.
