A.Clean, peaceful, and well-appointed self-contained cabins, along with tent and caravan sites. Short walk to The Kauri Museum. Amazing night skies, with no light pollution. Perfect for star-gazing.
A.We had a great stay- the owner and her dog were super friendly and welcoming, the views were serene, the amenities clean and tidy, the accomodation exactly what was advertised. The views and the grounds of the holiday park were perhaps the highlight of our stay... and the trampoline. If you're after a quaint country escape- I'd recommend Matakohe Holiday Park!
C.The Matakohe Holiday Park was exactly what we wanted and was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 kids). We stayed in one of the cabins and it had loads of bunks, was clean and comfortable and Vanessa was super friendly and accommodating.

Close to the water, wake to the sheep with a gorgeous view and a well kept playground for the kids.
Cafe, restaurant & surprisingly intriguing Kauri museum all on the same road will entertain you enough till you can summon enough relaxed energy to go 15-20mins either way for fun in the forest or fish & chips.

J.The lovely ladies that run this park are so kind and welcoming. They went out of their way to help me as I had car trouble one night. They put me at ease and I had the most restful sleep. Even a free meal. Angels that hide their wings lol amenities were great, everything was clean. A quiet safe place to stay. Beautiful setting. I really cannot thank the ladies enough. Good folk. M.An absolutely beautiful campground, very child friendly with great indoor toys and a beautiful playground with trampoline. Lovely facilities and superb hosts, even offered us fresh peaches straight for the tree. Best place we stayed west cost. Will definitely visit again if in the area.
