A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH! I've done numerous travels throughout NZ and have stayed at some exclusive hotels, but nothing compares to the hospitality received at the Comfort. Each stay, I am greeted with warmth from each member of staff and provided with superior customer service that's personalized to my needs. Rooms have all the standard utilities you need and beds are extremely cozy. Most notably, the food made in the restaurant is so flavorsome - it's hard to single out one meal. If you want to experience hospitality like no other, I highly recommend staying at the Comfort if you're ever in Timaru - you won't regret it!

Great place to stay, comfy bed, room was very tidy. Receptionist was lovely. Loved the fact that there was a makeup face cloth! Only thing I would comment on is that the curtains were quite see through at night.

Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff are always very friendly. Food in the restaurant was delicious and table service was excellent. Ability to purchase packed lunches is a great service available for regular travelers. Parking was convenient and close to my room.

The staff member on the front desk was so accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony for our second night. The view of the harbour and city lights was beautiful. Would recommend to anyone. Very enjoyable stay.

Room lovely clean,the light from the corridors was a issue coming into room,the light was coming in above the curtains, maybe by putting dimmers on lights may help Bed was rather hard also. This motels was built in the 70s maybe time for a refit .

I found the room quite road noisy but otherwise not too bad. Decor needs a revamp to bring up to date. The raunchy leather couch was rather curious. Looked as though it belonged somewhere else..

Lots of parking, cleanish rooms. Heater was decent as well. Really charming fan and fixtures. Good service from staff and good to have generic breakfast. It is located centrally and is this close to all amenities. Beds were comfy and my only small gripe would be with no green tea in the room.

Stayed overnight and used the conference facilities. Accommodation was great and so was the evening meal in their restaurant. Conference room was all set-up ready to go and all staff really friendly and professional.

Nice hotel along SH1. Stayed one night on my way back to CHCH. Received coupons for free WiFi, but wish I had gotten a couple more. Also, get a code for the fitness center before the lobby closes. The WiFi was good, bed was comfortable. Fast food available in the area.

Nice meals, very comfortable renovated rooms (most of them) and great views of the bay for the rooms facing that way. The best: super-friendly staff hugely accommodating and ensuring that the stay is pleasant.

Sadly the best rooms face the main road but care has been taken to ensure good sound proofing. Any issues one may have with the venue is definitely mitigated by the level of service, awesome staff. Restaurant may seem pricey but the food is really good and pretty much market related for the menu and quality, however the breakfasts are definitely overpriced and one could to better going out for breakfast.

I have stayed here as a rep for approx 5yrs odd and they always make me feel at home . Great modern rooms , the food is always mouth watering (James the chef you are a legend!!) , handy to town (10min walk) , bt y fav.place is havin a wine in the bar whilst doing reports . Expected a little more. I found this hotel online and it didn’t match up to the photos. Yes I will stay there again but I now know what to expect!!

Hotel located near to some cafes and pubs - 5 minute walk. A little dated but comfortable. Difficult to get heavy suitcase up stairs to second level room. Reasonable value for money

We really did not like the bed it was very uncomfortable hard and springy we asked for more "comfort" hence the name of the Inn and the nice reception lady did put an extra layer underneath which was better but was still springy, normally …

Was a nice clean and comfortable room, but was disappointed not to be able to have breakfast in the morning. Being in the weekend, I still expected breakfast to be available.

Very good stay, good size rooms and very clean with good parking close to rooms. The different type of soup they service for dinner is out standing, and the meals were very well prepared, with great service by staff.

The staff were extremely helpful We thought the room had a kitchen as my husband had to leave early for motox so needed to heat food The staff provided us with a microwave and toaster which was fantastic and helped immensely My only gripe was the pillows The room was very clean and I felt that nothing was a problem I only had to ask

I try stay here whenever I'm in Timaru. Clean rooms, friendly staff, in house restaurant and bar. Even a gym if you're that way inclined. Also centrally located if you feel like venturing out.

Great location and close to all amenities by car, free onsite parking, good size rooms and good onsite restaurant and helpful staff. Pillows a bit soft otherwise a pleasant motel.

As already stated. Room was dated and in need of modernizing. That said it appears there are alterations going on as when I was there they were preparing to install a lift.
