Very cool little spot next to the strip of restaurants on Eat Street in Rotorua. There are a lot of ice cream options including standard flavors and also some Kapati special flavors that are a little pricier. The staff were very friendly and answered all our questions. It was busy but the girls working were quick to take and prepare our orders. I ordered the Kapati berry ice cream and it was served with fresh cream on top and the berry sauce in a waffle cone - delicious. Husband ordered a ice cream sundae with a brownie. Again, it was with the fresh cream which was amazing! There was also a fridge with drinks. No complaints about the staff, service, or ice cream! Additional notes... did not see a bathroom on site. We went at night and there were little flies EVERYWHERE around the lights which were placed over the outdoor seating. This meant we couldn't sit on the chairs/tables as there were little flies all over them. Not at the fault of the parlour or staff.

This place is amazing and staff super helpful. Their frappes were on point and the toppings for ice cream were delicious

Awesome experience tonight. The lovely girl Hayley on the door was so friendly and professional and jumping in to serve when she could to help out the other girl. Keeley who served us was absolutely fantastic, serving on her own when the store was at capacity while upholding the most professionalism, extremely friendly and speedy. The store was beautiful and clean and the ice cream was yummy as always! Awesome work to these two great ladies your boss should be proud of how well you work.

Awesome service, great ice-cream, only getting 4 star as we were the first of a few people to walk in and the only ones that were asked for vaxx passes... kinda need to ask everyone or no one. But otherwise a place to go for a treat

Whist on holiday in Rotorua, we went to lady Jane for desert. As we left the shop, some young guys (evidently a little tipsy) we’re passing by and started blowing on our ice cream. The staff at lady Jane saw that and acted so quickly. They made sure we were ok and replaced our icecream at no charge. Who says young generation have no customer service? These girls were brilliant! . Go lady Jane!!

Delicious Kapati Ice cream! Highly recommend the "Black doris plum" flavor! Prices are a bit extreme, but it's a nice treat for the kids and adults on a sunny day 😊

Perfectly place at the start of Eat Street and opposite the Lakeshore park, Lady Jane's Ice Cream parlour provides excellent ice cream delights for young and old.

Sells what you expect. I think a good selection but I rarely buy ice creams now. Very busy but staff handled it well although looked under pressure.

They have the most delicious ice creams ever. The staff are amazing always cheerful , great credit to whoever owns the business to have employed these wonderful girls that work there

Busy place at night with various types of ice creams and sundays. The tastes on offer were all rather standard this is the reason I gave 3 stars rather than venturing out some local creations

Danish cones are so good! Wish I had seen the menu outside with the sundaes and waffles on it! Can I suggest you having this inside as well!

Ice creams and Sundaes are delicious 50 flavours to choose from and the prices blew me away a lot cheaper than I thought a must-do as a family treat when visiting Rotorua

A great place to stop for a sweet treat by the lake in Rotorua. They have a great range of regular or premium flavours to choose from. There’s also many different cone types and toppings available. The only downside is trying to choose what you want could take a while as you are spoiled for choice.

Good selection of Icecreams flavours to choose from - option to select from Premium Icecream which i think is Kapiti Icecream - Vanilla Bean is my favorite and Orange Choc Chip from standard flavors. Option to have in waffle cone topped with cream selection of sauces n other toppings too. Great icecream shop and conveniently located close to lakeside n kids playground (5min walk)

The parlour looks great from outside, could do with a touch up and polish... well the majority of eat street could do with as well hopefully before the waves hit. Covid-19/autumn/winter/lack of resources/people, are no excuse. How many restaurants are there on the street with staff. All for one, one for all dining experience. NOW is not the time for division, the only separation necessary is social distancing. (a suggestion if may, is remove ALL unnecessary clutter expand the boundaries, to maximize dining space) My apologies, I have gone on off on a tangent, buy I mean well. Personally I have not been inside Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour which does look beautiful. I have seen and heard wonders about the ice cream so I am very eager to taste. One lovely afternoon or evening I shall (even the morning can be stunningly, pancakes anyone😋). Two side notes, Firstly the wharf project, well done! so far absolutely spectacular. (the old lake front access road which is now an amazing carpark). Can't wait for the whole area to be just as beautiful and maintained? Second note, the pay points for parking could be re imagined as I have had to walk back up to the nearest one (not far but just annoying especially on a drizzle of a day) maybe two more closer in a smarter convenient location, possibly?

Stopped in at Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour for dessert after dinner at Eat Street and would like to thank the beautiful girl who took care of my family. We were greeted with a beautiful smile and the most amazing customer service. My son who has ADHD had difficulty choosing between a few flavours and this young girl took the time to explain the difference between the numerous chocolate flavours and threw in a few recommendations he might like. After a few minutes, he chose Gold Rush and he would like me to mention that is his new favourite flavour :) She then went out of her way to check which ice creams contain egg as my youngest daughter is allergic. To top it off, she made me the most amazing butterscotch milkshake that I have ever had from Lady Janes. I would like to thank this sweetheart for being so patient with my children and for offering the best customer service. I can’t quite remember her name after asking but she was a beautiful Maori girl. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! We will be back tomorrow for Gold Rush Ice Cream ;)

Probably the best ice cream parlour in town and centrally located. They have a wide selection of ice cream flavours and specialty ice cream (eg gluten free etc). The staff are friendly, patient and helpful—I always feel welcomed. If the queue is out the door on a hot day, don’t let that stop you, they usually handle it quickly.

24Dec20 1412 Merry Christmas to Lady Jane's and its staff. Thank you for your response today 24 December to my 14 November review. Hope you are all well. Look forward to enjoying your product aftesh in 2021. 14Nov20 1446 I bought four cones with different flavours. I've bought lots of icecreams here over the years. This time for some reason the icecream was awful. Watery. Low density. So it melted fast and dripped like crazy onto my granddaughters' hands and clothes. The density was so low that one of our icecreams couldn't keep its shape at the top of the cone and fell out onto the footpath. Ugh! It didn't help that the icecream was already soft in the display service freezers. You know you're going to have trouble when you see the store attendant rolling your icecream with a scoop and the icecream is already soft and shiny because it's melting .. right there in the cabinet before the attendant hands your icecream to you. This time it wasn't like typical Kiwi icecream usually with highish cream and solids content. Considering the experience and quality these icecreams are expensive at $3.90 for one scoop and $6.90 for three scoops. And the cones? Cheap and skinny. Fresh and crisp but nasty hard bits that make for a bad biting experience. Plus 46 cents surcharge for credit card payment. Very unusual bad experience this time. Looking forward to the usual perfect one next time!

Great ice cream and so many flavors to choose from. They have sherbert for those who can't have dairy and with every scoop you get a free topping, whipped cream and peanuts. I had the churro donut and loved it! Ate it too fast to take photos. Staff were lovely.

At the end of Eat Streat, this place has a good selection of ice cream, plus a number of higher creamer ones for a bit more. If too much traffic for sitting and enjoying your selection, head over to the park across the street.

This place is ideally situated for a relaxing walk on the village green or through the noise and confusion of Eat Street. Once you have icecream in hand that is. There is a wide selection of ice cream and some sorbet to choose from. The service is excellent being both friendly and efficient.

Yum. Lots of different flavours, including Kapiti. Affogato icecream in a Danish waffle cone was awesome. Staff were very friendly welcoming and efficient. Range of coffees and cold drinks too. Sit inside, out front, or take your icecream for a wander through the park.

Lots of variety here and they are very accommodating for those with food intolerances and allergies. Dairy free options available. The ice cream itself wasnt spectacular like Patagonia. The size of a single scoop is also very small in comparison to other shops but the prices are the same.

Pricey. Clean. Lots of variety. Do not expect super servings. If you are wanting your icecream dipped ask to have it gapless between cone and icecream otherwise why get it dipped. Icecream will drip furiously.

We were there over Labour Weekend and the place was humming! Fantastic, friendly staff, even though they were run off their feet. Ice cream flavours were great!

Got 3 milkshakes the other day...wow so disappointing was all froth and not even cold..tasted like a powder and milk or water mix simular to McDonald's but not as well made as there's, you would expect a properly made milkshake from this place especially at cost of $20.70c for 3 of them $6.90 each ...the ice creams here is as good as it gets, but avoid the milk shakes after taste not good.

Great ice cream but disorganized queuing system plus the environmental nightmare of soooooo many plastic spoons (given without asking when you dont really need them) means it loses a couple of stars. Management, you need to make better decisions about the impact of the waste that you encourage.

Delicious ice cream. Berry Berry Sorbet was particularly good. My only concern was that Premium label made everything else seem cheap and artificial. Natural or organic would sound just as premium.

An institution in Rotorua. You can't go and have dinner in Eat Street and not get an ice cream afterwards at Lady Jane's. Also perfect of course at any time on any sunny day. There are often queues out the door at this place. And there is a good reason why. Great selection of ice creams, great taste, service with a smile and good value for money.

Cant remember name of young blonde woman who served us but she was smiling, helpfull, patient with my grandchildren and nothing was a problem . I grew up in a milk bar dairy and appreciate the skill of dealing with customers and good service

I ended up just having this coconut choc ice cream (which was pretty nice) after sampling peaches and cream and marshmallow and coconut were just too sweet. A decent amount of flavours and pricing is what I expected
