Kylie was amazing for us as first home buyers. She made the process really easy to understand and was with us every step of the way. She was super responsive and communicated regularly to ensure we were all good and understood what was happening. Buckle in – our whole story comes with this praise. 6 months ago, we were not even close to thinking about buying a house. We eventually wanted to buy, but how hard and complex is that process, where do you even start, we’ve got debt; what about all of the urban myths about KiwiSaver, deposits, banks – we can’t! Buying a house is in the too hard basket. In the midst of lockdown, our Landlord decided “he wants to sell the house”. Great. The horrendous words you dread hearing as a renter. He wanted to offer it to us first, “yeah right” we thought, let’s get looking for our next rental. We knew Kylie through softball and knew she was a Mortgage Broker she didn’t see the barriers we did, and she said let’s look into it! Well, this is where she kicked into gear! Our too hard basket is her “This is what I do” basket. Right from our first chat, Kylie gave us confidence that we could do this ‘buy a house’ thing. Unfortunately for her, from the first chat, we did not want to move a muscle unless she said so. As I said we had debts, and things we had seen as absolute deal-breakers to owning our own house –Kylie didn’t see them as barriers – they were just a few things to work through together. Because of our debts, a few places said ‘no’ but she wasn’t fazed, she moved onto the next option, and worked through some places that said ‘no’ to find out how to turn it into a ‘yes’! To say Kylie worked hard for us is an understatement. We felt like we were her only clients because we were always ringing her, texting, e-mailing, going to her office, crying, swearing, laughing – how could she have time for anyone else?! To know she had a portfolio of clients all at different stages while working with us was unbelievable. We really felt like we were her #1 priority – and I bet everyone else working with her at that time did too. Yesterday was our settlement day. There is absolutely no way we would be buying this house, or any other house without Kylie’s unwavering support, advice, expertise and ‘this is what I do’ attitude. We are and will always be so grateful for her and her hard work – thanks to Kylie, we have our forever home where our kids can grow up safely and as a family not dread hearing “The landlord is selling the house” ever again.

Kylie was amazing, i rang her with intentions of purchasing a investment and wanting a pre approval, to her surprise i handed her a sign agreement with a property under offer before i even got pre approved. She was so efficient, proactive and listened to what and where i was financially, which she then applied in the best way possible resulting in an outcome that best suited me and my position. With me being so private about financials i find it so hard to discuss with anyone so i wanted someone i did not know, I trusted her instantly and she made me feel like my situation was normal and there was no "battered eyelids" and treated me equally. You made the process of buying a house really smooth, and coached me right through it all. You answered all my questions and made me feel like no question was a silly question. You naturally broke each part of the process into steps along the way, and helped me to achieve each one, before letting me know what I needed to do next. I always appreciated your timely response to me, as well – whether it was by phone or email, and the way that you would let me know in advance the times you might be out of office, and your response would be slower. Your support was what I needed at the time, both professional and caring, and I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending you to anyone I know that was looking for a mortgage broker.
