Rod Schubert – Master of Magic, helping to make dreams come true! We couldn’t speak highly enough of the service that Rod supplies. Our story is perhaps a little out of the ordinary, a situation where we are now pinching ourselves that in just a few months our life has completely changed. On Monday 7th December while perusing trade me property (as we occasionally did), my partner and I came across a property which took our attention. We were not officially looking for a new property, nor were we in a position right at that moment to be going to market. A few nights dreaming about said property prompted us to contact Rod to see if by some miracle we could attempt to purchase. So late on the Wednesday night (9th December 2020) I emailed Rod, who had come highly recommended by family members – yes plural, Rod has sorted finance for multiple members of this family! We were so surprised that Rod responded that very night with acknowledgement of email and suggesting a time for us to chat the next day. By Friday 11th December, we were fairly certain that Rod would be able to secure up open bridging, so we could go to auction. We arranged a viewing on Saturday 12th of December and confirmed our desire to attempt to purchase. By Tuesday 15th December we had 2nd tier lending approved which provided us with the greenlight to bid at auction on Wednesday 16th December….. WE WON the Auction! From there it was a whirlwind, getting house ready for sale and Rod preparing applications for main bank open bridging (now we had a property secured), in the end we had offers from 3 main banks for bridging finance, however we were able to sell our property promptly and align settlement with our new property, so once again Rod was out to the banks to secure us a home loan. On Friday 5th March we moved from our 600m2 3-bedroom home to a 10acre rural lifestyle property! We NEVER saw this coming, nor everything align at the rate it did! Rod was also able to put us into contact with a broker for the appropriate home and contents insurance required for our new life. Rod Schubert, Master of Magic, helping to make peoples wildest dreams come true. He plays a good game, he’s super-efficient, maintains excellent communication and achieves results, all for a one-man band, supported by his lovely and equally efficient PA Peach. Rod worked hard for us and got us a great deal with the bank. His personalised advice was valuable, and he was always willing to answer our questions (big or small). Rod has good relationships with the main retail banks, and is able to turn things around quickly. We highly recommend his mortgage broking services.

I was a bit slow to get in to buying my first home but Rod and Peach stuck with me and never hesitated to help! The service Rod and Peach provided was always great. They are always responsive and give clear advice. Any questions I had, Rod was always happy to help either with quick answer or if needed a referral to someone in his network. Peach always had a quick turn around on any documents or admin I needed to do. They made me feel like I was getting a VIP service! I hope to continue building my property portfolio and I will definitely be continuing to work with Rod and Peach!
