I was lucky enough to work with Money at Queen St Walker and Hall, he’s been an absolute star in the whole journey of deciding our engagement ring. From understanding what we want, designs, budgets, he found a raw diamond for us, then got it made in the style I wanted, all within the price range we had in mind. Even celebrated with us by popping a bottle of champagne when we’d finally bought the ring! Thank you so much Money, would highly recommend, and will definitely be sending more friends your way!

I don't normally get jewellery made in NZ so was a bit worried about doing it, but I had the best experience with this store! Ping, Mony and Naveen were exceptional right from the start. They sourced the stones I wanted, suggested some designs, were clear on the cost and kept me in the loop all the way through my pendant being made through to its delivery. The pendant was made to a high standard, looks amazing (I've had lots of compliments) and I'm very happy with it. Thank you team - you were so professional, friendly and patient. I needed a custom solution to extend a bag strap so it could fit across my shoulder. I still wanted to show off the cool shoulder strap and needed the chain to match the aesthetics of the handbag. I had an idea for a chain to attach to the shoulder of the bag. MIllie and the team, including the jeweler who happened to walk in as we were discussing the chain, were professional and knowledgable in helping me find a solution. They took their time to figure out the best length and clasp. They even had me come back to double confirm the right clasp for the bag. I was visiting Auckland from Wellington, so Millie promptly couriered the chain to me, done even faster than I was promised. I was absolutely thrilled with the results! To be honest, I am actually not a diamond person, but me and my husband both know that it’s something meaningful and our hard-earned relationship deserves it. Therefore when we were introduced to the brand of diamond dealer Walker&Hall, we knew we were in a good hand. It was a lovely and non-stressed experience, especially when the super considerate and friendly staff Tania was there and gave us sincere advice. At the end, we chose the fact of the quality of diamonds than the size of diamonds (Thanks to Tania and the shop manager told us so much knowledge about diamond, even though it was beyond their working hours). What happened later was since the diamond we ordered was still outside of New Zealand and it takes time of shipping, some how Tania managed to find a similar diamond ring and lent it to us to get married, which would crack me up for the rest of my life.

Great store, great customer service! Took my engagement ring in for a service as I don’t often get a chance to make it to Auckland, and was so impressed with the entire experience! They put it through as a urgent job and had completed it by the following day so that I wouldn’t have to make another trip to Auckland to collect it. I don't like the typical pushy sales approach and I am also no expert on diamonds. A couple of weeks back I took in a small signet ring that belonged to my Grandfather (it has sat in my Dad's top drawer since 1971, so after both my Parents passed away recently, it came to me). It was very thin and quite out of shape. I knew it would cost some fairly serious cash to have it repaired but I wanted to bring it back to life so that I can wear it proudly. A young guy named George took me through the process of having the ring assessed and a quote produced. I duly undertook to have the work done and when the ring came back I was stoked! It looks just like new, you cannot see where the joins are after they re-shanked it and it looks amazing. I'm so pleased and very proud to be wearing my Grandad's ring, not worn for 50 years. We came in just to browse wedding rings and enjoyed the wide range of rings available as well as the selection of vintage jewellery. This store also has a lot of 18ct gold rings which is rare as most stores only stock 9ct models. We ended up trying on a few beautiful rings and found the one! Maria helped us out and was very patient while we tried lots of different styles on. She ended up getting us a great deal and we were very happy with the final price. This is a lovely store and if you are looking for fine jewellery we highly recommend it. They can also send jewellery to the airport if you are travelling home so that you can add in a 10% tax discount.
