L.I recently sent 100 paua shells to be polished for wedding favors. Although they weren't in the best condition they did an absolutely amazing job. I received excellent service from these guys. I'd just like to say thank you so much for the wonderful job on my shells, beautiful service and super quick ❤️

F.Bought a steel ring with Kauri wood and Paua shell in it for a cheap price in winter 2018 and I didn’t take it of for more than a week in total.
I was expecting that the steel and the clear coating of paua and kauri will get scratched pretty fast. After over one year, the ring still looks awesome!
A proof, that reasonable priced souvenirs don’t have to be bad quality.

s.Beautiful shop, sells a wide ranging local jewellery made of paua shell and slide stones. Parking spots available at the door. Close to city centre, with in walking distance. Disable and wheels chair accessible front door. Reasonably priced products.
W.Calling this place a souvenir shop just don't do it justice. This place has been around for 50 years and is a pioneer of the polished paua shell industry in New Zealand! It produces 40,000 shells a year and is capable of doubling this capacity! So it is a wholeseller as well, and has a workshop where people can view some of its production process, with a small exhibit introducing the polishing method and describing different types of shells. Its pieces are beautiful and at good prices. Not to be missed for anyone who wishes to understand more about these beautiful shells.
J.They offer with polishing your shells but than they always apologize that the "guy" is busy or starts working at 2pm or is not there right now...so basically he never been there when I came 3 times. In the end they didn't polish my shells and I had to buy one from them as a gift as I had to leave the town. Apart from that they have really cheap Pauas
