We knew we wanted a personal, bespoke experience when designing the engagement ring, and that’s exactly what we got from The Rolling Mill. When we embarked on the journey of designing the ring, we had a list of three jewellers that we met with. After our first meeting with Nick, we knew we wanted to go with The Rolling Mill. We got the feeling that Nick is super passionate about what he does, and we would be well taken care of. Nick, Nigel and Vee were amazing, right through the entire design process and in the creation of the ring. The team are super friendly, easy going, great at communicating and obviously love what they do. We came to Nick with a bunch of ideas and he turned it into a beautiful reality. Taking us through what ideas would work and what needed tweaking. The final creation and craftmanship is just perfect. We’ve had many compliments on the ring and I always catch myself admiring it with a smile (which makes my other half happy!). We are both incredibly happy with the engagement ring and highly recommend the team at The Rolling Mill. Thanks a mill!

A lovely experience, we worked with Nick and the team to achieve exactly what we wanted. It was fine and delicate, and they gave us a few stone options which helped with fitting in the budget. I recommend them for quality workmanship and lovely personable service.

Nick and Nigel created a beautiful set of wedding rings for us along with my engagement ring. They made my gifted stones shine beautifully- guiding metal choice and settings. They were able to source and explore options for my husbands ring. We always enjoyed going in to catch up on process and tease out the direction we wanted to go. Stunning craftsmanship and wonderful people! Couldn't recommend The Rolling Mill more.

Not only does he take your ideas on board and creates such wonderful pieces with his own little flare but he's an all round top bloke. Great banter, service and makes the experience super fun. The Rolling Mill designed and made our engagement ring and it was the best decision I've made (other than the proposal). The time, effort and personal interest they made was just incredible. Im a little late in leaving this review as my purchasing experience with Nick, Vee and Nigel at The Rolling Mill was back in June 2019. It was, however, probably to the best customer service and experience I have ever had. The Rolling Mill made an exquisite engagement ring for me in the short time that I needed, before my partner and I left New Zealand to return back to the UK. I dealt mostly directly with Nick who was unbelievably accommodating. He was able to meet me in store, reply to my emails and speak to me on the phone at my convenience (even if this meant staying late in store after closing time). I had some ideas as to how I wanted the ring to look and after meeting with Nick and discussing these ideas, he was able to come up with a drawing that was exactly how I pictured the ring to look. Nick took all the time I needed and was able to come up with ideas / suggestions that aligned with my budged. There is a lot to ring making that an outsider doesn't realise and for aspects I hadn't considered, Nick was able to suggest an advise what he thought might work best. He did this whilst keeping my ideas in mind and sticking to the vision I had in my head. Nick also did an amazing job in sourcing a diamond of the highest quality within my budget. The diamond obviously came with an official IGI grading certificate. My partner (now fiancé) and I had planned to leave New Zealand and return to the UK after living and working in there for 12 months. It meant a lot to me that Nick and the team were able to design and make such a beautiful ring at such short notice, in a country that we had had such a great time living and working in. Nick and the Team were even kind enough to hand the finished product over with a bottle of Champagne! Over all, the customer service and experience I had at The Rolling Mill and the quality of the final piece was more than five stars! I cant thank Nick and the team enough - you were fantastic. If its not clear in this review, I would highly recommend the Rolling Mill to anyone looking for bespoke, hight quality jewellery and customer service that is second to none!

Nick and the team at The Rolling Mill were absolutely amazing to work with! We were recommended to go to them as they deal with moissanite stones (amongst other stones as well). Nick carefully listened to what I wanted in my ring along with our story of how we had gotten engaged and who we are as a couple and came up with the most incredible design to encompass it all. We were kept up to date throughout the whole process as he made the ring and when we saw the end result we were completely blown away and totally in love with what Nick had created. Needless to say, the workmanship done by The Rolling Mill is incredible - it is literally perfect. We will be definitely going back there to get our wedding bands done. We highly recommend The Rolling Mill if you want a beautiful piece of jewellery that will tell your story, made by a team that truly cares and whom are so passionate about their craft.

The Rolling Mill offers unparalleled highly personal service and expert hand craftsmanship to create the perfect ring for you. From the moment I stepped into their workshop I felt welcome and valued. Nick listened to and absorbed my idea, and then worked with me to make this vision a reality. Nick was highly communicative throughout the whole process and provided regular updates. The end design was exactly as I had imagined, exceptionally beautiful and to an incredible standard. My now fiancé absolutely loves the ring and we can't wait to get our wedding bands from Nick, Nigel and Vee in the not so distant future. I recently had the pleasure of meeting Nick and the team and working with them to create an engagement ring. It was such a great experience, they were kind, knowledgeable, and helped present all the options in a workable manner. Communication was great throughout with pictures and updates about timeframes. In the end, Nick's workmanship was simply masterful, my fiancé was blown away, and she gets asked constantly about it, and we still spot small details we've not seen. Lastly, I felt throughout the process that every cent was well spent. I can't wait to visit again and get wedding rings rolling.

We cannot rate Nick, Vee and the team at The Rolling Mill highly enough. From the very first email reply we received we knew we'd gone to the right place! The Rolling Mill designed our wedding rings, and were incredibly accommodating when it came to turning my partner's designs and plans into a reality. We were so impressed by the team's attention to detail, care for their work and professionalism. We were so impressed by how efficiently the team worked, and how much care they took to ensure that we were happy with the work that they had done on our rings. We appreciated the team's prompt communication and their willingness to go out of the way to meet us in weekends and accommodate flexibility with payment. Nick, Vee and the team are the most friendly and wonderful people - so much so we both left after our first consultation with Nick and said to each other, "we want to be mates with him!" The quality of the work that Nick and Nigel have produced for us is amazing and we could not be happier with the rings we've got. Incredibly good value for money given all of the care, attention to detail and phenomenal service. These guys are supreme.

I cannot thank Nick enough for creating an original ring and making me feel welcome every time I visited his Shop. Both Nick and Nigel were welcoming, approachable and friendly. There was never any doubt that when I decided to pop the question I would be calling upon Nick’s and The Rolling Mill’s services. I started out looking for a ring with a story. What I got was a work of art, that not only tells a story, but which also demonstrates the passion, talent and attention to detail that Nick has for his craft. 5 stars does not go far enough to rate my experience. Amazing service and craftsmanship! I had the pleasure of dealing with Nick when I commissioned an engagement ring recently and couldn't be more pleased. From the initial consultation he was great, despite my lack of knowledge he explained everything thoroughly and guided me through the process of material selection and design without making me feel stupid and never once did i feel pressured or rushed. He continually updated me on progress and he was ready exactly when he said he would be, and the final product! WOW! He is a master. Could not recommend highly enough and needless to say we will be going back to Nick for the wedding rings.

Nick worked (secretly!) with my then boyfriend to design and make the most beautiful engagement ring. We've just been back to organise wedding rings and Nick again provided fantastic service. His knowledge, attention to detail and warmth made us feel relaxed and excited about working with together. Couldn't recommend more highly.

We stumbled across The Rolling Mill on Instagram and from the moment we met Nick, we knew they were the ones to help us to create something really special. Nick is friendly, approachable and communicative. He met with us a few times to discuss the design and put our minds at ease. So stoked with the decision to get our rings handmade by master craftsmen! Both Nick and Nigel at The Rolling Mill poured so much knowledge and meaning into our rings that an off-the-shelf piece couldn’t possibly compare. We went to Nick after a friend of ours recommended him to us. Thank goodness we did! We knew as soon as we first met with him that he was the man who was going to help us achieve just what we wanted for our engagement and wedding rings. Living in New Plymouth meant that we had to do a lot of communicating via phone, email and text, and Nick and Vee were both amazing at keeping in touch and keeping us a part of the whole process. Nick really listened to what we wanted and made it happen. We also had a lot of fun with the whole experience, which my fiancé and I really value! Fantastic people to work with. We got them to design the engagement ring as well as wedding bands for both of us. The process was very personal with great collaboration fromNick and Vee. Workmanship was excellent, and they worked their hearts out to have things ready on schedule.

The Rolling Mill took elements from a bunch of designs that I knew my partner loved and well, turned them into something so much better! Vee and Nick were terrific to deal with - very communicative even though I'm based in Australia and we spoke almost exclusively over email. Fiancè is over the moon, which means that I am! My advice? Just throw yourself over to the Rolling Mill and trust the team. They'll know what you want - probably before you do!

Absolutely outstanding. Nick, Vee and Nigel accepted two rings that had been cut off wife Linda’s fingers after tripping over a puppy. They were cut off her fingers and bent back to get them over pretty bad swelling so they were deformed and one being more fragile than the other looked and was a really real technical job with some risk of a repair going pear shaped. Picked both rings up from the team yesterday. They had been resized and repaired to absolute perfection. This team are simply the best and have our strongest recommendation for quality, craftsmanship and being genuinely nice to deal with business folk. A pleasure to work with. Thank you.
