A.Gumboots and Grasshoppers has such an amazing, warm and friendly environment, caring and thoughtful staff and has made the transition into the Centre for my daughter stress-free. Centre is very spacious and with an amazing outdoor area. Highly recommended if you're looking for a great Centre to send your little ones :)
K.My son has been attending here since January 2021. We absolutely love the centre and the staff. The centre is well resourced and has more space than you would ever know what to do with. The staff are absolutely amazing and really dedicate themselves to caring for and educating the children in their care. An absolute top centre!
S.My daughter started at gumboots and grasshoppers in 2021 and after viewing many daycares, G&G stood out by far. The children get to play and learn in a fantastic space with so many neat resources and the teachers are all amazing! They really make sure you feel as though you are part of the family.
We live out of Te Kowhai and have many centres closer to home but would rather travel daily as you know your child is in good care at G&G.
One thing that would make it even better is if the chef cooked dinners for parents to take home haha 🤣

Our little boy love his time here and went off to school such a confident and competent child ready to face any adventure.
As a teacher it is amazing - wonderful environment and fantastic teachers who support our children, families and each other during the good times and the tough times. We love the animals - goats, sheep, rabbit, guinea pig and Jo's garden.

Beautiful country setting with amazing playground and lots of space.
My child loves attending Gumboots and Grasshoppers. It has an amazing atmosphere and you always feel welcome. Beautiful toys and equipment.

A.It feels like a real privilege to have such a fabulous day care centre in Te Kowhai. Purpose built, so much space, thoughtfully set up and with genuinely caring and loving staff who don't just care for the kids in their charge but also understand how big an impact they have on the wider family unit.
My little one loves Gumboots & Grasshoppers and so do I. Can't recommend this place any higher - they're just amazing.

Gumboots has provided a safe, nurturing environment for our little man to become a confident,independent individual. Gumboots stood out to us because of the amazing indoor/outdoor space & the top notch communication provided by the teachers, we know our son is in safe hands.
W.We absolutely LOVE it here, we’ve got two of our boys attending at the moment and couldn’t be happier with the facilities, service and care provided here. The teachers are all super friendly, very professional and always available to let you know how your child’s day went. The communication is exceptional and we always feel like we know exactly what’s going on within the centre and what our children did each day. You can even message teachers throughout your day to check in on their progress. I LOVE this aspect and have never had it anywhere else before. The centre is huge and provides ample space for the children to play as well as providing access to their cute farm animals that the children can feed. The food menu for the children is thoughtfully put together with nutrition being the highest priority and the chef is always open to new suggestions as well as your own child’s dietary needs. We couldn’t recommend this daycare enough!
L.I enrolled my son the day they opened and have since moved away but I do and will continue to travel to daycare for him, the setting is amazing, teachers incredible and hes made lots of friends. They are so accommodating with any and all requests. My son loves the country so the real grass, and animals and outdoor play is a major priority.
A.Super centre, our child loves going there to play with her friends and learn. Amazing large outdoor area, gardens, animals, bike track. Friendly and caring staff. Great asset to Te Kowhai community!
G.I am happy to be associated with Gumboots and Grasshoppers. There is great synergy between staff and the children which creates a supportive environment. It was a delight to watch the children harvest produce from the garden and then take it to the chef to cook up for lunch.

T.Highly recommend Gumboots and Grasshoppers Daycare center. The facility is amazing, the outdoor area is huge! They pride themselves in providing as many enrichment activities and experiences for the kids especially outdoors' everything from gardens to animals. The team there do an amazing job' I've always felt that the kids are in very safe and caring hands.

T.My little one has absolutely thrived at this centre! The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to ensure the children are settled and comfortable especially through covid restrictions.
The space the children have to play is huge and the playground is well equipped and spaced out which you don't see in many centers anymore! My boy is so happy to head to daycare he takes off and doesn't even say goodbye.
