Went for coffee and found a really good menu here. The food was spot on and the coffee was nice and smooth - which is a deal breaker for me if it's bitter or tastes burned - and afterwards went on an unplanned shopping spree in the plant section. We even got th seal of approval from the little guy (shown in one of the photos). Now let's hope our Carolina Reaper, Dwarf Lemon and Spanish Guavas do well at home as they did here...

Loved the selection of roses and indoor plants they have and the price is reasonable too. Ample parking available. Lovely staff

Was loading my vehicle with several bags of pebbles (20kg each) when a young staff member (Josh) saw me and came over to help. I thought that was a very fine gesture as he was busy loading up a van but noticed me and stopped what he was doing to lend a helping hand. For a young man, he showed a lot of initiative and certainly made my experience memorable.

Wonderful service! I emailed from Switzerland asking for a potted Lily plant to be delivered to my family in Auckland. Was given personal service and the flowers were delivered straight away, in time for Christmas. Very impressed with both the quality of the flowers and the friendly service. Thank you!

Caleb and the young lady helped me find a specific item i was looking for. Superb service, counter staff were really approacahble and friendly. Wide selection of plants and reasonably priced too! One of the best plant store there is. Would definitely recommend for you to come and check this store!

Not only do Kings Plant Barn actually take really good care of their plants but Botany has an amazing cafe. They ACTUALLY check your vax pass so you can sit and eat and enjoy knowing it's all good. The food is well priced and amazing. Flavourful with great spice accents. I had folded eggs with the yummiest capers and friend had cauli fritters with babaganoush. I'm defo coming back and getting her dish as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. Just very pleasurable to visit but be careful you'll want to buy so much!

Shocked to see the poor state of the plants, I know its hot and dry but at least 25 % of the plants were badly wilted and there were some dead ones inbetween. Have not been for a while but really noticed a smaller variety of plants too. Sad to see it going backwards like this.

Persimmon trees at Bunnings= $44. Persimmon trees at Kings= $70. Same size same supplier. Kings is overpriced in comparison. Indoor plants you’re better buying off Trademe / Marketplace. Kings need to adjust their prices

I took my family for breakfast at the cafe. It was very nice, chilled and friendly environment. Enjoyed our meals. The kids got pancakes which had candy floss on top. Reminded me of the Lorax 😁. Looked so cool and tastes delicious. We got the garden grill it was nice but I wasn't keen on the relish. Apart from that really enjoyed it here. I didn't shop for plants so price wise is for eating only.

Helpful and friendly, good variety of plants and in great condition. I will be back. I also bought a book from the store, not badly priced and is very informative. I will be back to purchase more plants in the future.

Great service during Alert level 3, and once on arrival instructions are printed near your parking space to inform staff of your arrival. The only confusion I had was one poster had different info regarding details to send via text eg one poster was telling you to enter your surname and the other duplicate poster didn't advise you to.

We enjoyed our time there. The checkout assistant was very helpful and friendly. We always enjoy shopping there.

Put in order 2 times and waited 30 mins for order we had to phone them letting them know we were still waiting we gave them all details while we sat in car. We did get apoligise but there system is not good.

I'm not allowed in here without supervision otherwise I'm coming home with more plants than I need. All the plants and seedlings are healthy, pricing is fair, and they have a great range of everything gardening.

We hosted a 1st birthday party in the cafe attached to Kings Plant Barn. The events management team and manager (Ryan) were great to work with and accommodated all of our requests. The venue is so spacious and all of our guests had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this cafe for a private function.

Very good selection of plants and garden related products is available here. More than adequate parking spaces are provided. A nice coffee shop is serving on the inside.

Good garden centre. Extra good when they have sales...got a calathea freddy for $18 and had seen same plant at another store later in day for $35. Become a member and you accumulate points towards vouchers.

Very good addition to the plant store and all sorts of of garden by products, this place has a great selection with staff that are well trained. The Cafe is great before and or after getting one's garden requirements,where you can sit inside or outside. The outside is nice and shaded and quieter than the inside Cafe area. The inside when near full is far from adequately fitted with acoustic absorbing panels to keep the noise levels to an acceptable level, otherwise a great new facility.

Awesome range of plants. The staff were very helpful and offered great advice for the care for each of the four plants I purchased, ensuring they placed in suitable areas. I'll be back again for sure!

Obviously an abundance of plants etc, but last weekend we tried the new cafe for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. The renovated/expanded cafe looks great and theres plenty of space. The food was fresh and yummy and the coffee was good. The waiter spilled our latte slightly into the saucer when bringing it to our table and genuinely offered to make another - we declined, but it was a nice touch. There was a small wait for the coffees, buy they were busy, so understandable. The wait staff were all very polite and friendly and when we asked for them to turn done the aircon as it was too cold (19 degrees), they did so without hesitation. Best of all we were surprised at how reasonably priced everything was. A great visit all round.

Less choice than some other outlet but still a reasonable range.

Helped me load the items into my car by a very friendly young lad. This place is going to be my regular hangout place.

Our first time here. Food selection was good and the banana bread was lovely toasted. The coffee here is good too. We will be back.

Not all the plants I had hoped to get for the vege garden were there. A limited variety in stock at present as well. I found the prices of several plants higher than ones I had bought recently for similar specimens. There was a good amount of space and it was easy to get around the garden centre and there was shade and a Cafe on the premises.

Arrived about 1pm and counter food had all but run out. Plenty of meals cooked to order but didnt offer to make another item off the counter fod list. Left without a feed.

Staff knowledgable , place clean and tidy

Went there for breakfast with my husband and had King's breakfast and organic chicken salad. Their food and coffee were good! Not cheap but reasonable compared to other cafes. We will come back.

I've bought a pot and fertilizer soil mix compost to grow tomatoes at home the staff helps you to achieve your small happiness 😊

Tried the avocado smash today. I have a new favourite brunch meal! Outstanding on all counts. Food, coffee and service. Reserve a table if you can. This place fills up fast.

Good spot plus has a Cafe pretty good

This is a great large store, I have been coming here for many years for all my gardening needs. From indoor to outdoor plants, citrus and berries and every thing else you may need. There is a pretty good seasonal selection and the staff are more than happy to offer advice if your new to anything. There is a cafe and inside store, even help to load and heavy soil bags. I recommend this store to anyone from experts to new growers.

Did not buy plants. Went to the restaurant. My mushrooms and cheese were yum.

An awesome variety of plants and accessories, great little cafe there with a tramp provided beside to keep kids entertained while you relax with a coffee or browse the selection of trees nearby. They have pretty much anything the avid gardener could ever want, things are easy to find and if you get stuck the staff are always super friendly and happy to offer assistance. Their plants always look nice and healthy and the aisles are easy to navigate with a trolley, unlike the plant sections of the nearby hardware stores!

Very very helpful staff with great knowledge and wonderful customer service. Variety of products at cheap price. God bless you all and keep up the good work

Very busy on mothers day but lovely staff member squeezed us in between a reserved table gap, seems a shame to reserve tables and paying customers have no where to sit, hard to please us all I guess.

Only visited Cafe not impressed with lack of GF food &lack of knowledge to weather they had GF Food

Kings plant gives more choices than its competitor

My first time there and it was great. Warmly welcomed. Atmosphere and staff was magic. And I became a member to get some awesome deals. To me this place is tops.

Lots of nice plants. Everything tidy and organised. I bought some tomato seedlings for cheap and they are doing well.

A good plant shop, however some of their seedlings are wilting in the morning heat. Good selection of plants & reasonable prices.

Great variety of stock whether flowers or vegetable seedlings. Good advice available from the staff. If not in stock e.g. large trees over say 3 metres they are able to source and supply. Good cafe too.

The cafe here does a good fish and chips using snappers. Crispy and not greasy at all.

This King's Plant Barn is located on Botany Road, which is a very convenient location. But it has downsized recently, leading to 1/3 reduction in store size and the loss of some of the water garden selection.
