Cafe is really nice, staff is available And helpful even 2 days before Christmas. There’s enough range to find what you want or need so really good place. But for me what makes my time there even more precious is the time I took to breath and enjoy a latte while thinking about how nice my garden would look like if I had 10% of the herbs and flowers displayed. It’s soo good to take the time to dream.

Discovered this store tucked away in Morningside. So nice to find a smaller plant store brimming with a wonderful aray of just about everything. One stop shop for all your gardening needs and they have a variety of plants that you can't see anywhere else. Also I think all their prices are reasonable. I have a lot of indoor plants so I was after some fertilisers and pesticides I just exactly found what I was looking for with the help of a wonderful staff member of the store. A special mention to those people who helped me with the purchase and billing. I would love to visit again and buy some more plants for my outdoor gardening....

Wide range of plants that are well looked after. Attentive and always helpful staff. It's always worth giving this place a go first before buying plants anywhere else. Some of my best precious "plant treasures" were acquired here. Plants are seasonal, so if you find something you love, snatch it because it might either not be there or be priced differently on your next visit.

Went to the St Luke’s branch this morning...20 November And what a wonderful experience it was Was greeted and helped by all staff Dave spent time with me in looking for a lime tree...was super helpful and polite and cheerful and offered to help load the tree in my car A lady helped me with roses, willingly answered all my questions and gave helpful tips....big clap for her...didn’t get her name At the counter Diane was the ultimate best customer service person...she told me about delivery service and answered all my questions and was super efficient at the till too. We headed straight for the cafe. Had eggs bene for lunch (bacon on house made hash brown) it was bloody beautiful. Best bene since before lockdown. Had a custard berry cake which was also beautiful. Sparrows are extra friendly so watch your food. Highly recommend, lovely outdoor setting too.

Kins St Lukes is a very popular suburban plant store. I come here often to fulfil my seasonal planting needs. The indoors area houses all sorts of indoor plants, and the large outdoor area houses outdoor plants, pots and also the cafe. The carpark is expansive and they even open up the carparks in neighbouring properties on busy weekends which is nice (and needed). It can be difficult to flag down a staff member if you need help with anything, but when you do you will find that they are all knowledgeable and helpful. One thing that I think Kings could do better is more of a general 'wow' factor. This must be the most popular plant store in the central Auckland suburbs, yet it is at the end of the day, just a plant store. I think Kings could do a lot to make it more of a destination store rather than just a warehouse for plants.

A really nice cafe inside the king's plant barn they have nice food good selection of desserts and cakes. They had four different options for eggs benedict base, like hash browns, toast, corn fritters etc this made it very good option wise. for the base cone fitter bad was great.

They hav a gd selection of plants, just that their things are always overpriced compared to similar items from Bunnings or the likes. I find Kings organic compost is not great quality as well compared to similar products from Living Earth brand. But staff is always helpful.

I had lunch with a friend at Kings Plant Barn today, it was really nice because it is situated in the garden centre so there's lots to look at and it's a calming place to catch up. There are lots of options when it comes to what to eat, from multiple cabinet options (sweet and meal/savory) to an extensive menu. We ordered from the cabinet and the food was tasty and came out quickly- I enjoyed my coffee too 😸 This is a very family friendly cafe, with plenty of toys available for children and an outdoor deck to sit on when the weather is nice. This cafe/garden centre combo is close to me so I would definitely like to come back and try some different menu items 😸

One of the better Plant stores in Auckland . Very busy so come early particularly on the weekends as the large carpark does get full . A huge range most plants and in different sizes. Prices are reasonable however Rogers Plant shop in Mangere is generally cheaper. Staff are very friendly and helpful and there are lots of them. A great way to while an hour or more meandering through the store.

They were so helpful, polite and happy to give their time and experience, I'm confident I got a couple off plants to my liking and will certainly be back for more. This is a very well stocked king plants barn with weekly changeover at least during spring season. Healthy plants mostly. However the trees not so much Look in the corner for borer eaten "trees", near the little shed by the cafe. Purchased a cherry blossom, got home and realised that the part of the grafted canopy was diseased.

Lovely cafe, helpful staff, great plant selection, but on the whole, the prices are just too high. Bunnings and Mitre 10 are much cheaper, and the likes of Roger Hunters leave these guys looking thoroughly expensive. The location is however convenient, and the selection of indoor plants is vast and beautiful.

Ordered the pan fried fish and chips at the cafe out the back, meh fish and chips you say... well I got a bit of a shock when the meal that came out looked like restaurant level cooking and tasted excellent too. Try it, if you don't like it let me know and I'll eat it for you! The shopping area is tidily laid out and has a lot of variety, even cacti were out sunning themselves today. Inside has pretty much anything you'll need for your garden along with some quirky objects to add humour and interest to your place.

I'd not been there before and I walked into the exit, he told me off loudly for it. I ignored him because I figured it's the best way to deal with a bully. Lots of variety, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff members. However, they don't do refunds only replacement or store credits; of which they put on their membership card. So please choose your items very carefully. It's also really worth it to cross check with Palmers, as it's often that Palmers have better stock.

Didn't have the 90l bag of bark I was after and they explained that they havnt had it for 6 months and are unlikely to get it in again. Don't understand why it's online with 'only available in store written on it. Love their staff and set up otherwise!

Had a lovely brunch at the Kings Plant Barn Cafe, i had the omelette with portobello mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and tomato with the hash brown side. My sister had the eggs benedict which came with hashbrowns too, everything was fresh and delicious. We sat out the back, and it was a nice peaceful place. Good service and did.
