Reviews of Ilam Gardens
M.
I am Gardens are the rather charming setting for the Ilam Homestead and part of the park-like campus of Canterbury University. Great for recalibrating with green plants, water sounds and well oxygenated air. My favourite lunch time walk.
T.
The rhododendrons and azaleas are stunning. Well worth a visit
s.
Beautiful gardens located opposite university of Canterbury UCSA parking lot. On bus route and parking available near the restaurant. Small tracks inside the gardens with bridges and lawns, a rugby field hidden at the back of the house. Great for picnic or quick stroll, easy access for pram and wheelchair.
J.
I come here every year at the same time. Mid to late October is the peak for these gardens. Free parking, great fragrance...just do it
J.
Nice place to enjoy nature in the city, beautiful famous flower gardens and lots of places to relax in semi privacy
K.
Beautiful place for a wedding. We were at one today. The gorgeous old building in its park like grounds is magnificent. The staff in the bar were lovely and very friendly. Small lake and lots of trees make a great setting for an occasion such as this.
Go and have a look if you are looking for a venue. Beautiful!
I.
Stunning Azaleas. Quiet peaceful gardens.
F.
Beautiful, quiet and spacious gardens. Lovely river flowing through, lots of parking, beautiful daffodils in the spring. Leads straight out onto Ilam Fields. Lots of ducks. Absolutely gorgeous landscaping. Great place for a picnic.

Here we have Christchurch's most complete variety of azaleas.
M.
Really enjoy walking through these gardens during the spring and summer months because of the wonder range of flowers and trees. Very good place to release some stress from uni work and enjoy nature. The tracks running through the gardens allow you to feel like you are almost lost in a beautiful forest!
C.
All the Rhododendrons are out at the moment making a colourful display of beautiful flowers.
천.
Good place for a short walk
C.
A beautiful Oasis in the middle of Canterbury University . Particularly worth a visit in October and November when the rhododendrons and azaleas are flowering
z.
Random little gardens. They are pretty well kept and nice enough with a small stream running through them. Not really a place to go to do anything but not a bad place to stroll through if your into that sort of thing. Pretty small can walk through all of it in like 15min.
K.
Lovely underrated park with access to the river and gardens. Parking was plentiful on a Sunday afternoon too. Definitely worth a stop.
R.
A pretty decent garden with a nice walk way. Nice place to spend a silent time at.

(Translated) As an extra-curricular service at the English school, there is a bus ride from the center of the city by bus. We walked around the park with teachers and several classmates from each country. It is a park where maintained forest and garden are fused, but it may be a style close to English garden. It was beautiful as it was the November flower season.
