Hamid at The Rug Guru did the best job of repairing a family kilim. I'd lent it to someone who ruined it and I truly believed it would never be the same. Hamid did such a good job I literally can't tell where the stain even was. I highly recommend his services!

We are very impressed with the work that Rug Guru did with the berber rug we brought back from Morocco. They fixed up the fringe which had started to unravel, prepared it for mounting on our wall and drove 50kms south to install it, no small feat at 2.2x1.1m. From start to finish we felt comfortable that our rug would be treated carefully, and we could not be happier with the results. We highly recommend Rug Guru for all your rug and carpet needs.

We had x 2 rugs cleaned and repaired, Hamid surpassed our expectations, both rugs were in need of repair and a thorough clean, they have came up so fresh and look like new, service was fantastic, picked up and delivered can highly recommend Rug Guru, will definitely use again. Would highly recommend Hamid from The Rug Guru to anyone needing their special carpets washed, treated, brought back to new, repaired. Hamid has done work for our much-loved (by humans and cats) rugs for us twice, and every time he is friendly, prompt, helpful, and so very knowledgeable. It's clear his work is also his passion, and that makes the end result = beautiful rugs and happy customers.

Thanks Hamid for doing such a great job. I have used Hamid in the past to clean a Moroccan rug (he worked magic on the stains), and the clean he did was fantastic. Recently, Hamid also arranged underlay for my rugs. His service is prompt, reliable and to a high standard. I have no reason not to recommend him and will definitely use him again in the future.

Hamid is THE BEST!!!! Truly a Rug Guru! Don’t make the mistake I did, taking them to the Persian Rug Gallery first, only to have our largest, most expensive rug Ruined by them! Hamid was able to restore the ruined rug to its original state and make our other rugs look and feel FABULOUS! He uses the term “happy Rug and Happy Colours”. I didn’t get it until the rugs were returned to me. Now, when I stand on them, I get HAPPY FEET. I’m not exaggerating...Hamid is the BEST! If you value your rugs, take them to Hamid!

I found Hamid (aka Rug Guru) via Google & used his service because of universally positive reviews. I'm glad we did. Hamid is indeed a rug guru & is pleasant to deal with. Hamid the Rug Guru was super efficient and great to deal with. He quoted on our rug to clean and repair it and delivered it back looking amazing. The rug is better than when we purchased it as he applied a new backing and it now sits perfectly. I would highly recommend.

We couldn't believe our eyes when our Persian Rugs were returned from the exceptional,restoration with new fringing, cleaning and the rugs looked better than they did when we bought them years ago. The colours just glowed and the carpets were so soft. Hamid you are Master weaver who we can highly recommend. Excellent service! Hamid is very friendly and helpful and really knows his stuff when it comes to rugs. Don't waste your time looking around for other cleaners as Hamid is the best we have found! Hamid removed the cat urine odour from our expensive rug and the stain as well, previous cleaner had not been able to do that. Thank you Hamid.

My experince with this business was 100% positive and I recommend it to anyone who values real professional Persian rug service. My experience was with cleaning a 3-4K value silk and wool rug. The business also repairs and re-weaves. We had borrowed the rug, took it to a festival and got it badly stained from another rug during a torrential rain. It was a terrible position to be in. Hamid was completely honest, saying that he couldn’t guarantee that the stain would come out but he would wash the rug and do his best. He texted us half-way through and was very helpful, staying in touch with progress. In the end, we had complete success! No stain and the rug restored to it’s original beauty: it was also extremely dirty to begin with. Hamid is very knowledgable and we are lucky to have such a competent rug professional in Auckland.

When I emailed Hamid for advice about my 70+ yr old Info-Persian rug he replied so quickly, and with so much information, that I knew he was the right person to trust. This rug belonged to my father, and I have known it all my life so it is an important family heirloom, but was looking so sad. I couriered it to him from Tauranga. Hamid washed it and re-did the ragged fringes, then couriered it back, keeping in touch all the way through. Now the colours glow, and I know the edges are stable. Thanks Hamid!

Just had several rugs cleaned and repaired by The Rug Guru. Absolutely thrilled with the outcome of all the rugs. Hamid was a real pleasure to deal with, his advice, honesty and detail to the work made it so easy for us to feel we had the right person on board to complete the work.

Hamid did an amazing job cleaning and restoring an old kilim purchased in Kabul some years ago We had it in storage for a year and were concerned about its condition. He also brought back to life a contemporary hall runner that we thought had lost its colour permanently. He is a real professional and a lovely, friendly chap to deal with. Excellent service! Responsive, excellent cleaning job, and prompt pick up and delivery. Hamid was able to get almost all the stain out from my white flokati rug that other cleaners could not.

I am very pleased with the cleaning and repair work carried out by the Rug Guru. I own a Turkish Rug that was water-damaged and also the fringe was damaged by our dog. The rug has been brought back to its former glory and it is delightful to have in back down on the floor.
