The reason I have a Gem visa was because it was the only way to get the finance offers from noel lemming etc now they want me to get another visa so I qualify and can only get 6-10mths with gem. Six months interest free on your purchase $250 and over....You can not get any better than that. When Purchasing on your visa, you get a text to confirm your purchase which I found really good as it confirms that it is actually you using the card and not someone else. I personally recommend Gem Visa . But only if your good with controlling your money. This card still needs to be paid if you have purchases on it.

Financing was so easy when we purchased a new fridge/freezer and a washing machine from Harvey Norman. 10 minutes and answering a few basic questions and it was done . We were so happy with our purchase and the ease of financing it with Gem.

Using Gem Visa has been quite a nice experience overall. Its handy when you're buying something expensive and you get it 6 months interest free, simply WOW!!! I have been using this card for over two years now and been happy with it. The only disappointment so far is the long time it takes to credit your payment in their records.

Trying to contact gem Visa through the phone only gives you an automated voice and you cant get through if that machine doesnt understand your request, very frustrating as it just keeps asking and then giving you the wrong department. Also very annoying that you cant have an updated statement sent when requested to reflect your current balance and purchases, as 'they only generate once a month'. Great getting six months interest free on purchases over $250 though.

To find so many offers on an interest free period really helps spread the cost of big purchases. Gem prioritises the item with the shortest term making it almost worry free - just remember to pay the minimum on time otherwise interest rates are fairly hefty.

I find my gem visa card very useful as it gives me the option to spread purchases over 6 months interest free. I have used it now on three expensive purchases knowing I can budget for these items but have the pleasure of getting them now rather than waiting. Good job guys.

I have recently closed my Gem account after being with them for a few years. I love their interest free payment plans and think the timeframes they offer in which to make repayments caters to a lot of people in different budgeting situations. I like that they work with a lot of common retailers, and was surprised to find out it worked as a credit card too. I have paid in bulk to pay this off over the last few months and reduced my limit at each point. I then paid in bulk $3,400 to pay of the remainder and closed the account, but on my Illion credit file and on the app it says I still have $3,400 to spend. I have letter confirmation and phone confirmation that it is closed, but I shouldn't have a $3,400.00 credit facility available to me if it is. I ideally want to know that this is not going against my credit score as a facility that is available to me, so as the end of my experience with Gem, it didn't end how I as a paying customer would want. Otherwise, they would have received a 5.

I have never missed a payment, Gem notifies me when statement is ready to view and when payment is received. The 6 months interest free on every purchase over $250 is an amazing incentive. Excellent company to deal with.

Seems to be some competitors offering 12months interest free on purchases over $200. May switch to them. Would like to see my 3month interest free purchases on my app so I know where it is at. Have paid extra because it has gone over the 3month unbeknown to me, as money paid is spread out over both my 3 and 6month I/F purchase. Other than that all is ok I guess.

My friend has been a gem Visa user for years and when I was considering switching credit cards he recommended me gem Visa. Ordered a new card from them online and the process was super simple. Had my card in the next few days and haven't had any issues since. The can be a bit strict with their repayments but as long as you're onto it and are at least attempting to make a payment, theres really no issue. The support staff who helped me activate my card were nice too. Would gladly recommend, but as with any credit card. Be sure to read the fine print

My last dealings with Gem was a spam. They rang me to ask if I had made a purchase, and I replied No I hadn't, they then trace the person I guess and credited the amount back to me. I have card insurance which I think covers this type of thing but I was impressed at the speed that they took action

I use this for purchases over $250. It gives me that extra breathing room when paying off what I owe. Probably not good if you have no basic knowledge of repayment and making sure you're not charged interest. I also wouldn't recommend getting a Gem Visa card if you can't even pay off your one credit card.

It's good to get a 6 months interest frew loan but the system is too complicated and it's a waste of time. You're forced to download an app to pay, also you can't even set a direct debit through the webpage, you need to print out a form and post it. Other companies make you fill the form directly at the shop where you buy and you can forget about it.

I hate Gem Visa for giving little credit limit. I am unable to purchase items that I want. Even thou I paid quadrople the required payment. There are 36months of zero interest I cannot avail and for your information I do not have any recent purchases. Your network security may have been hack.

GEM helps ease cashflow while giving access to some great retailers. Some of the interest free repayment distributions are a little clunky, but if you keep an eye on it and contact GEM, they are happy to help you manage the allocation of funds the way you'd like.

Good credit card when you need to buy/pay something over $250 as you can pay in 6 months interest free, but you need to make sure you pay it in 6 months as the interest is very high. Don’t get this credit card if you can’t control what you spend.

Best visa card you can get I’ve had one for a few years now and it’s great getting interest free terms and you can use it everywhere I highly recommend that you get one right away that’s the way to go better than regular bank visa cards that you have to pay off each month so get your gym visa card
