I have been a client of Kirsten for some years. Most recently she has been treating me following a knee replacement which did not heal properly. Her treatment greatly assisted my recovery and she was very helpful with recommending exercises which have enabled me to progress much better than I had thought would have been possible. In the early stages of recovery her treatment provided a great deal of pain relief and eased the scarring. She is a therapist who cares about her clients' wellbeing.

After having incredibly painful legs and feet for over 40 years and seeking various treatments, I made an appointment with Kirsten. I had no idea what her treatment involved and I had long passed the stage of doing research and getting referrals - I was willing to try anything. To my surprise, Kirsten genuinely wanted to help me and understood why I was in so much pain. Through her patience and expertise I now have, happy legs and feet.

I can't recommend Kirsten at Koru Therapies highly enough. I have had a torn rotacuff on my left arm (xrays confirming this) and more recently similar symptoms on my right arm. Both times Kirsten was able to get to the root of the problem. On my right arm, where I thought the problem was my deltoid, Kirsten was able to find the root of my pain being deeper in my shoulder. Kirsten doesn't just go in and massage, but has amazing ways of testing where the problem actually lies. I can honestly say, don't put up with pain. Kirsten helped so much. Forever grateful to her. Thank you Kirsten.

Definitely recommend Kirsten for neurokinetic treatment and massage. Kirsten has a friendly, caring and welcoming manner which put me at ease right away. From the first session she identified reasons for my lower back and hip pain and provided me with some simple exercises to do at home which have improved the areas of weakness and alleviated the pain.

Kirsten was warm and welcoming from the start and made a special effort to fit me in as I live out of town. She also expressed a genuine interest and curiosity in the uncommon nature of my specific issue and presentation. I really like her approach and the way it combines a number of different aspects of body work into a holistic therapy. This is no simple massage! I've already seen some improvements and hope to continue working with Kirsten to get my body back to optimum working capacity

I'd been putting up with a painful twang in my left shoulder for some weeks when I went to see Kirsten. No joke, within 5 minutes of me lying on the table she had discovered that my bicep tendon had come out of it's groove - and then she worked it back into place! Such a relief for me. I was so impressed.

Highly recommend Koru Therapies - Kirsten not only gives the best therapeutic massage I have had in ChCh but also explainss what is causing the muscle pain and gives you exercises and movements to help and to prevent reoccurrences. Definitely recommend!

I had a chronic back injury that was stopping me from doing some of the things I enjoyed such as running or multi day tramps. Kirsten treated me with great results and also taught me how to self manage through exercises and techniques so that I can treat myself as soon as I start to experience pain. She is very knowledgeable and has a holistic approach, treating the whole person and not just the point of pain. Instead she works out what weakness or tightness in other areas of the body are contributing, treating these so that the body can work better overall. After a few sessions, I’m now back to my active lifestyle and training for a half marathon after over a year of not being able to do everything I wanted due to pain and concern I’d never get back to being that active again. I would definitely recommend trying neurokinetic therapy for results and I really appreciated Kirsten’s compassionate approach.

I was referred to Koru Therapies by a friend and prior coming, had no idea about neurokinetic therapy. I have absolutely loved my sessions with Kirsten and feel like her intimate knowledge of the body, along with her determination to get to the root of the problem (in my case a 15 year old injury and bad habits) means for very satisfied clients. I loved learning new tools to take away to work on my problems at home. I can highly recommend Koru Therapies!

Kirsten is fantastic at what she does and has an amazing understanding of how the whole body is connected. My experience was brilliant and the pain I had disappeared the next day. Came back slightly as I overworked the area but another session definitely helped. Issued I had that did not seem related actually were and once we worked on one area this then improved other areas that I had issues with.
I would highly recommend Koru Therapies and Kirsten - she is so lovely; even just talk to. Thank you so much and I am so pleased I found you!
