We had a great experience with the Moving Company, right from first contact and getting things organised with Fiona, through to the actual move day itself. The team on move day were awesome - they arrived on time, were friendly and super-efficient at both packing and unpacking the truck, and they took such care in moving our furniture into our new home, it was as if they were moving things into their own home. We were really impressed with The Moving Company and would not hesitate to use them again ourselves, or recommend them to others in Christchurch.

Initially it's Rav the customer services manager who organized our move preparation and coordination in Auckland, and she did an amazing job. Her communication was clear, efficient, she was friendly, proactive and swift to reply, really efficient. Then on the moving date her team arrived to pack up and fill the container. They took care of our stuff with a great attitude, working hard but always with a smile. This really helped us to relax as we knew we were in good hands. Arriving in Christchurch we were informed about when our container would arrive and when it will go into storage. I was even able to pick up one thing I left inside the container during the storage period, which was really important to us. The delivery of the container was smooth, painless and really quick, the team again did a really good job and was very friendly too. Overall The Moving Company has done a fantastic job and we're really happy with the high level of service the team have provided. Their professionalism and efficiency have really made it easier for us to relocate to the South Island and we highly recommend them for your next move, it was a top job. 5 stars well deserved!

My mum had recently gone to Melbourne and decided to stay so I offered to pack up her flat - a big job on my own, so I contacted the Moving Company. From beginning to end it was a smooth, easy move; Fiona booked in a date over the phone, Sue came to give me a quote, and the terrific moving duo of Taylor and Levi packed, moved and put everything in a storage unit quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this company in you want a no-hassle move.

I was recommended by a friend to use the Moving Company - from the first phone call and email correspondence, I was impressed by the customer service, but the best was yet to come! On moving day, the three men were efficient, courteous, strong and had a good sense of humour - moving house is not an easy day by any means, but they made it a fantastic experience. I recently contracted The Moving Company to shift my household possessions from Auckland to Christchurch. The move was managed brilliantly from my first contact with the head office to the delivery. Everything was packed expertly and arrived in good condition. I high recommend The Moving Company for efficiency, reliability, and professionalism.

We had Charlie, Jett and Greg as the team on the move. They arrived on time, were extremely friendly and respectful. We were blown away by their efficiency and how they had loaded our whole house into the truck within 45 minutes. We have no complaints and could not recommend them enough.

I highly recommend The Moving Company. From the admin team to the men who moved my possessions- they are all outstanding. I truly appreciated the prompt and friendly communication, the carefully thought out logistics, and the friendly, professional removal team. The moving team were respectful, careful, polite and put 100% of themselves into the job. Not only that, but they went the extra mile when my trampoline wouldn’t fit into a moving truck. We made use of Econotrans to ship from Cape Town to Christchurch. such a please and professionalism to work with Kevin and team. From the start to the bitter end. They packed everything quickly and safely. their partner, The Moving Company in Christchurch did an awesome job. Summer was efficient and kept us up to date. I will recommend them to anyone without a doubt.

Moving house is incredibly stressful and anything you can do to ease the stress is great. First thing that i would recommend is to contact The Moving Company - they are all fantastic from the adminstrator to the person who comes and does your quote to the packers and lifters. The whole chain of workers are amazing and really friendly and flexible - nothing was a problem and they went above and beyond to be helpful. I can't thank them enough and i unreservedly recommend them to anyone who is shifting - they also provide storage.

I have dealt with The Moving Company in Christchurch twice now, and both times the service I received from the office staff and the respect and care for my items from the staff who assisted with packing and unpacking of my goods was exceptional. I was fortunate enough to have The Moving Company ChCh dealing with my international move from Australia to New Zealand and then back to Australia where they went above and beyond what was expected and required. I had many different location changes for delivery of my goods, and the office staff were truly accommodating at all of my last minute requests. Throughout my entire dealings with the company the communication I received made me feel incredibly comfortable that everything was going to go smoothly. Thanks for the great experience!

The Moving Company has been involved in two of our moves between Australia and New Zealand, I can't recommend them highly enough. They are efficient, friendly, helpful with an amazing 'can do' attitude from the time goods arrive right up to the removal of the packing boxes. We moved from Cape Town to New Zealand using Elliotts. They partnered with The Moving Company in NZ. The Moving Company forwarded allot of useful information regarding the importation of domestic household items and how to handle such items for acceptance by both customs and Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) for bio-security, before we packed. When our container arrived, The Moving Company did the MPI inspection on certain items taping them closed again before delivering. Delivery was professional, on time and not rushed. We could unpack at our leisure in order to avoid total chaos. They moved and unwrapped the large items, removed the packaging and then came back for the remainder of the packaging after we had unpacked. All correspondence was professional and pleasant. The Moving Company really did turn an otherwise stressful event in our lives into a very pleasant experience.

We were delighted with the speed and efficiency with which the Moving Company operated within our very tight deadlines. They undertook the NZ end of our trans-Tasman shift. Would definitely use them again. Our best house moving experience.

I had very pleasant experience dealing with The Moving Company. Their communication was always clear, they help unpack and assemble furniture pieces such as beds and cots, and came back to collect boxes we couldn't get through on the day. Very happy with the service I received.

Fantastic company to deal with. Quotes and dates to organise was so very easy and a good experience. The 3 men that showed up to help us move "the heavy stuff", were polite, helpful and were really careful and respectful of our items. My Experience from beginning to end with this company was nothing but excellent. I was kept up to date with all details surrounding my containers delivery to my home. It even arrived sooner than expected which was great. The team that delivered the goods were amazing ,helpful and friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help out. We used The Moving Company for our recent house shift based on a recommendation from a friend. I can thoroughly endorse that recommendation. They were prompt and efficient with their quote and getting the shift organised. The guys who did the physical shift were very helpful and accommodating, in what turned out to be a difficult situation. I would certainly use The Moving Company again.

Going through the stress of immigration, my biggest worry was that my household content would be the biggest stress. I was pleasantly surprised and was most grateful to The Moving Company for all the assistance, back and forth emails to put my mind at ease and the fantastic service. Hello Rebecca, I would like to inform you that I was really impressed with the team of guys who help me move on Friday the 19th. Willy, D & Horace were are great team, they worked real well together and made me feel real comfortable with them. They did a marvelous job, they were are great bunch of guys and very funny. Please let them know that they did a great job and I am very pleased with their work ethic, it was a pleasure to see. I will be recommending The Moving Company to my friends.

Outstanding service during the whole process of having our container and its contents delivered safely, it had its challenges with COVID- throwing in some curve-balls, but the Moving Company kept us informed and updated through the whole process, Summer, who was handling our order was very professional and polite throughout the process. I only have praise for The Moving Company. From helping with the "admin" to getting our container cleared and delivered to our house withing two days of arriving at the port to offloading and unpacking the way we wanted it.... all done in a friendly and efficient way. Impressive service.

I can highly recommend The Moving Company - they are very professional A big thank you to the guys - they were polite, respectful and careful with our stuff. This is the second time we have used them and they did not disappoint.

Edited: The contractors used by The Moving Company unfortunately caused a fair bit of damage to our furniture and we had to open an insurance claim. A few weeks after writing this review the Branch Manager contacted me and apologised for the damage and contributed to half of our insurance excess.

We've moved interisland twice with The Moving Company. What an awesome experience. The whole team are a credit to the company. Lots of laughs...just like family. Thank you so much teams. 😁😁🤗
