100% would recommend, 100% would use again. I was very impressed with VanMan. It was very difficult weather to move in, and one of their workers had been taken down with an injury prior to arriving. The teams were really dedicated to support each other to fill the gap with different people coming on board at different times. It gave a really good impression of the team and the company. The VanMan movers were hard working, very polite, accommodating to the neighbours, and very positive. They were fantastic and a real pleasure.

These guys are awesome. I would totally recommend them. They are respectful, professional , great value and excellent communication. Of the 4 movers i contacted they were by far the easiest to deal with. I had a bit of a complicated pick up and drop off situation over a couple of days and it was no problem for them, they sorted something out for me. We were very satisfied with the service we received from Vanman and we would highly recommend the company. We relocated to our new house in Karori on 16 December 2021. All four of their staff were very efficient, polite, always willing to help, went to extra lengths to help us, including connecting our washing machine to a broken tap in the new house, and (for the first time ever for us) they managed to move all our staff without causing any damage to anything (all previous moving companies in the past caused some damage to our furniture). The VanMan did my move last weekend. Communication was fast and clear from the outset and moving the date due to lockdown delays no problem at all. Although there was more furniture than I had originally anticipated I was told it might take longer and the price might increase from fixed price to hourly the guys were so fast and did it all within the allocated time. They were very careful not to damage any furniture or walls/doors. Thanks a lot and I would come back anytime.

These guys did a fantastic job with helping us with our big move - it was hassle free and literally took the load of our shoulders. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Communications with Darryl to get a quote and book in the move was seamless and easy. We had a team of 4 guys, led by Conrad and they were super friendly and the service was FANTASTIC. It was fun working along side them and they made the moving process that much easier. The guys arrived on time and set to work immediately, they had a look at everything to be moved and set up a plan and worked super efficiently to move everything in an impressively shorter time than we had expected. I was especially impressed with how they moved our heavy piano, having to carry it down and up some stairs to get to our new place. They also disassembled our entire drum kit and packed it up nicely for it to be moved safely to our new place. They took extra care when packing our things, and organised the things in the truck to maximise the space and were able to do it all in two trips. THANKS GUYS :D You were Awesome.

I hired this company because my partner recommended it after using them. They were really good! They were on time, communicated really well, gave us an accurate quote, moved everything quickly and carefully, and just generally were really nice and helpful. I would recommend having everything ready for them to move - that's what we did and it worked really well. We were in a big apartment building and they managed to get all our bulky furniture through the elevator which was really good, and left no scuff marks on our new apartment's staircase. Highly recommend. UPDATE: I just used Van Man for the third time to move house again. Once again, they were amazing, and my move was over and done with in half an hour. They were very careful with my things and nothing was broken in the move. They had great communication and I really appreciated that they were able to fit my appointment in on very short notice.

First time using Van Man, first rang them with pretty short notice (given level 2-3 lockdown situation), Darryl picked up the phone and got an understanding of the job and my timing (which is not flexible). Was hoping to move earlier in the morning but Darryl confirmed in writing the move will go ahead at midday. In hindsight, this was to allow the guys to finish an earlier job and arrive in time. So pleased that he arranged it. On the day, they finished the earlier job and the lead van man - Larry called me to ask for permission to start early. This suited me, so I asked them to come, Larry arrived at around 11 sharp, so easy for me to time the entire move. The other two guys on my job were Eason and Conrad, both very relatable and great for the job, surprised by their attention to detail and focus/thinking skills at such a young age. The entire move went very well, heavy items were carefully moved by the co-ordination of all three guys. Lucky Darryl put 3 guys on the job, otherwise the job would have taken a lot longer. The positioning of the items into the truck was also an art, planned by Larry, we ended up almost an exact fit of an entire truck. Very happy the value achieved by this by careful planning and great execution. Definitely would try these guys again!

These guys are awesome. Went above, and beyond to carry a Cubro wheelchair electric double bed, mattress down 2/flights of stairs and up a few more to my new home. They said it was the heaviest item they had ever carried, all with a smile 😊on their face when I said if too much leave, but no they were determined after months in hospital they would get it there. Biceps 💪 to "dye" for!. And the price was very reasonable. Another removalist in an earlier review who carried it from Tauranga to Wellington but not local deserve their earlier good review also. A team of 3 very professional and courteous chaps took great care to move our house, even taking the legs off our dining table with their own tools and putting it back together at the other end. I recently had VanMan help move household goods to our new home. They were fantastic. They turned up on time, moved goods to the van down five stories of stairs - no lift and did so with good humour and amazing efficiency. At the new house they also had to negotiate steep stairs and again did so efficiently and with good humour. They worked out how to get large pieces into the third level of the house innovatively. I will use VanMan again and recommend them to anyone that wants to deal with a mover that is efficient and friendly and professional.

It was amazing, the 2 guys showed up and got stuck right in. They made moving easy. I had never used movers before and i cannot believe how great these guys were. I noticed that they communicate with each other really as to how they resolve tricky situations and they pulled off tasks that i deem impossible. I found the team from VanMan to be incredibly helpful and accomodating. I had a bit of a problem with my moving dates and Darryl was very good in keeping two booking times open for me, until I could give a firm date. I offered to pay for the extra slot, but Darryl refused and said he was more than happy to work around me. The crew who helped me move house were outstanding. Wellington was tipping down the rain and blowing a gale and they didn't seem to notice. The chaps were cheerful and incredibly hard working - they seemed to clear the house in double time (and I was paying by the hour!) and took half the time I thought they would. Nothing was too much trouble and they showed care to my items at all times. I have heard horror stories about removal people but not this company - I will use them again and have already told friends about how great they were - you wont be disappointed. VanMan moved the furniture of a 3 bedroom household including about 45 cartons, from Wellington to another town for me. I packed the boxes myself and the whole job was 2 truck loads. I recommend them 100%. From the start Darryl, the operations manager, was very attentive, asking the right questions, and really easy to work with. The team on the day consisting of 3 guys were friendly, to the point, and simply got on with the job and we finished spot on the estimated times which was crucial for the sake of the 3rd parties involved. As with any service agreement, what was crucial was the advance planning from both sides and each party facilitating the other to hold up its end of the bargain.

These movers are amazing! They moved our 3 bedroom place in 2.75 hours. They were punctual and didn't waste time. Very hardworking. They made moving our heavy items look effortless. I would never choose another company again. The previous company I used (Crown Relocations) were cheaper per hour but they wasted so much time and moved us in 4.5 hours (even though we had way less furniture than we do now). So although VanMan was more expensive per hour, it actually worked out cheaper for us overall. Thanks so much guys! :)

My Nana was moving from her home to a smaller property and I couldn't recommend VanMan highly enough for making everything so easy. From the initial quote to when arriving at my Nana's house, the staff member made her feel at ease by taking control and leading all involved in a calm but professional and efficient manner. Everything was handled with great care, including a huge family photo and all my Nana's precious possesions. On arrival to the new house everything was put in it's preferred place, also with carefulness and efficiency. The movers were quick, professional and delivered the contents in good time. However, a worker who was driving a company truck ran over an alloy grate, burred a channel drain and chipped some of the concrete on the driveway while backing it up. The owner refused to cover the damage and said it was "accidental, not intentional", as per the terms and conditions in their contract. He offered to mend the grate, but have since been informed alloy can't be straightened.

Well, I certainly got the A-Team when VanMan sent Cam and Luke to move a truckload of heavy furniture from old house to new house. It was a difficult move down steps as well. Excellent value for money as they finished the move in far less time than expected. Great work!
