Beautiful place, you can spend an hour looking at these amazing cars. We went an hour before it was closing so we only had an hour but I think you could stay longer. There's a nice just before you enter inside the Cafe. The cars are beautiful. Staff was really friendly and awesome and you could get a student discount as well. Lovely place if you love cars ❤

Fantastic collection of old cars and automobile memorabilia. Absolutely worth a visit, and easy day trip from Auckland, or stay overnight on the grounds if you have a camper. Cafe there to make life easy. Highly recommended if you are into old cars and history.

Awesome personal collection of vintage cars maintained to a very high standard. Not too much written information and not too crowded/crammed with too much stuff. Can get round in 90 mins or less depending in how interested you are at looking at all the cars. Even had blankets to borrow if you get a bit cold! Other collectors items too e.g petrol signs and car badges. Cool diner attached to the museum also which is 50s themed.

Amazing collection of vintage cars. I must say I was taken back in time ( too bad you and just climb in one of these beauties and drive away). Everything is themed and wrll arranged for you to have a pleasant time. I recommend taking a drink after the visit at the retro cafe just for a comfortable booth and good tunes.

Lovely for a family outing. The staff were very friendly, patient and accommodating. We sat outside with our dog and they brought her a bowl of water which is so appreciated. The food was great, especially the milkshakes, jackfruit burger and fries. Would definitely go again!

Absolutely wonderful. I popped in to ask for directions and despite not knowing where I was talking about the lovely lady on till took time to search it and locate it for me. I went back afterwards for lunch and was overjoyed to realise they don't just know what FODMAP dietary needs are they also had food I could eat. Was very impressed

Great day trip from Auckland to Hamilton. Allow an hour inside the Museum. Great variety of cars and automotive memorabilia. Very reasonably priced entry. The cafe/restaurant was excellent. Clean, tidy and the staff were very friendly. Food and drinks arrived quickly and when we first arrived it was busy; so the service was outstanding. The all day breakfast's we ordered were perfect as was the coffee. The only negative for me was it was quite in the Museum (a bit of the Rock n Roll music from the cafe would for me have been welcome) , for some that may be a plus.

Good themed dining. Great atmosphere. Then a trip down memory lane looking at items from yesteryear. Unfortunately, showing my age I remembered using or seeing too many of the items on show. Give it a go you will be pleasantly surprised.

The museum its self is small but very concentrated. Lots to look at but doesn't take very long to get around. This is not a problem in most cases exept there is a large price which I personally belive is not worth entry ($20) entry in most cases for 30 - 45 minuets of time spent there. Not particularly worth it. The diner joined to the museum is equally overpriced, I was sorely disappointed with the $7 milkshake being the same quality as a $2.50 one you can get at most dairys. The food was average but desently expensive for what it was. I would of enjoyed my time here much more if the cost was far lower and equal to what you would expected.

I had the great pleasure to visit this wonderful Classic Museum car display, on Wednesday 21 July 2021 with a group of 60's plus. The number of cars on display in such excellent condition is amazing. Some cars I had never ever seen before, as well as many from my younger days, which brought back many memories. I can certainly recommend this Museum to everyone.

If you enjoy seeing classic cars and related items this place is amazing with some really interesting vehicles including quirky stuff like Isetta, Messerschmitt, NSU Rotary and Goggomobile. Also old Cords and Packard's as well as some more familiar American and European makes. Most in pristine condition. Amazing collection of bonnet ornaments, oil pumps and cans and signage. Some real memories from the past when car's had soul. Retro Diner at entrance is like something out of Grease or Happy Days!

It's a cool place even for someone who's not an automotive enthusiast like me

Dazzling display of classic cars, motorbikes, scooters, bicycles, pedal cars and car related stuff. The old ornate petrol pumps are a highlight. $$ admission fee but under 5s are free so all up not too spendy if you're trying to entertain little ones on a rainy day. The adjoining café is a definite asset for parents - my kids played independently for ages in their large fenced play area, and the food is tasty. Bathrooms are nice, including a good change table. We came and went from the museum to the cafe three times for food and bathroom breaks and nobody minded. What would make it 5 stars? If they made the museum a little more engaging for children, or lowered the admission fee.

Having been born in the 40s it was such a thrill to see some of these cars again, especially the American classics which have been beautifully restored and displayed. This is a great place to visit and take tourists. The cafe food is very good too. Unfortunately a member of staff at the counter was not courteous to anyone, otherwise it would have been a five star experience.

This is an amazing place to visit for anyone who has a passion for cars and auto memorabilia. What a fantastic collection. I spent an hour and a half in here and still skimmed through it enough to have to come back for more. Its lucky there was a cafe next door so the wife could get something to eat and drink while I was still in the Museum. I'd recommend visiting this place and will be back sometime.

Being from the United States, finding a retro theme restaurant... was a lot of fun. My daughter is very retro minded and just got married last year at a drive in theater (1st person to ever do that in the United States). This was a special find for us.

Museum is great. Well worth it and plenty to look at in there. Unfortunately Elvis had left the building in the diner side of things. Poached eggs were sort of not poached but hard boiled. Though it was maybe only just mine but had a look at two other guests that had the same hard boiled poached eggs left on the side of the plate. We found a fly in my daughter's meal and we were offered a replacement but declined. Full refund was given for that meal which was good.

Me and my Gf stopped in on the way to Wellington. We mainly came to look at the cars, but also stopped at the Dinner for breakfast. The place is amazing. So many beautiful cars and so many collector items. We spent at least a couple an hour walking around the different exhibits and cars, which wasn't really enough time to appreciate it all.

Absolutely loved the damn collection. Beautifully kept vehicles and parts in an absolutely stunning condition. We accidentally got in through the wrong entrance when they were moving cars and saw the whole place..then we realised the entrance was through the cafe..we nevertheless went and told we wanted to pay and leave. Really enjoyed this place, beautiful vehicles, hood ornaments and badges, oil cans and bottles, fuel bowsers etc. Well laid out and lots to keep you interested. Could be a bit more labelling and information on the badges and hood ornaments (not everyone is going to recognise them all!) and some of the non-car related memorabilia but that would be the only real complaint from me. Great place to spend a couple of hours on a wet Saturday afternoon!

They were great to look at but would like to know more about these things to really appreciate it even more. Each car had it's own place card which was nice to see and read about the car.

This museum is more than just a car museum. It contains a significant collection of all kinds of motoring related memorabilia as well as the usual car parts and various vehicles. The collection really is impressive with it filling the large warehouse and the mezzanine floor above. One my visit we made it extra fun by dressing up in 1950's era clothing and enjoyed the diner food available at the attached cafe after had spent a couple of hours wandering around.

Had a really fun time here. The attached diner is infinitely better than a Macca's if you need a pitstop and the museum itself is super interesting. The cars are nearly all restored to "concourse" standard and are all owned by one guy. Lucky man.

The diner for breakfast was a great start to the museum. The museum was incredible, so much to look at and the cars were smick. Not expensive to go in either and no time restraints- The special display of around 50 bikes are a collection from members of the Hamilton Motorcycle Club and the Waikato Classic Motorcycle Clubs.
