Reviews of Tora Coastal Walk

What a wonderful experience this was! A group of 14 of us set out to have a lovely weekend away and this did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we had everything we could possibly want. Comfortable, clean accommodation, incredible food and of course good company. The weather packed it in for us but in the end it didn't really matter. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and informative, could not have asked for more. We all loved it, thank you for such a great experience.

Not to be done in bad weather. Didn't get to see any of the views , really disappointed.
Also was not happy with our group of 9 being put with another group of 5 dynamics just did not work . Also a covid risk which should have been considered, as other group was from elsewhere.

So good, tough at times due to the wet, but great accommodation, food and most of all company. Met some super nice people, hopefully we can all stay in touch.

I'm sure that I dont need to provide a rating because great reviews by word of mouth means you have to book many months in advance to experience the walk. The wait is worth it! Great hosts have created a walk thats challenges (up hill) are rewarded with spectacular scenery. The lodge accomadation is clean and tidy with good showers. The food provided is very good and your drinks in the fridge when you arrive at each lodge is a great touch. Get some good friends together to have an excellent NZ coastal/Farm/Bush experience.

The Martinborough area is a lovely place to explore. This is a great walk with a mix of farm country tracks and coastal sealed and unsealed roads. The accommodation was clean and comfortable on each of the three nights. We found the mud on the first day a bit challenging but the second and third day were fine. The meals were excellent throughout.
