Best place in town for any start-out artist to exhibit at. I had my first solo show here. Staff are most accomodating and beyond helpful. I'm looking forward to working with them again in the future.

CAN is a fantastic place to visit if you're interested in NZ artists. And it's FREE! Well lit spacious areas are full of beautiful displays. Within walking distance of the Napier City centre it's worth going for a look and if you're driving free parking is available on the road outside. Staff are friendly and helpful and if it interests you, classes are available or spaces to rent for your own exhibition. Put aside some time and do it! PS suitable for kids too :-)

Loved Napier. It pays to go with a guide via the info office. You get to see and know amazing sights and buildings and the story behind each one of them. Eg. "Six sisters" "Tobacco Co" "old wool building"

Always have great exhibitions, beautiful items for sale and competitions. Local and other artists. Loved the Japan painting I got for mum for Christmas from the Christmas market. Great classes on offer and I just went to the Japanese calligraphy class during the Japanese festival and it was brilliant

Bob is very friendly and funny. Local arts and crafts are interesting to look at and available to buy. The gallery is clean and not too crowded which was lovely! Great value, so happy we visited.

The galleries change almost weekly with new displays of art work so always something new to see. It also provides wonderful courses for adults, children at various times and especially in school holidays.The exhibitions are changed frequently and the exhibition openings are a way of meeting the featured artist. CAN runs a variety of courses to suit many interests including painting,

Awesome staff that make you feel like part of the family. The artworks were nice as well. Reasonably priced pieces that seem to be popular as a great number had already been sold (too late I guess). Worth the time if you're around.

Nice to hear ( while I was visiting CAN ) there was a collaboration between Adelaide , South Australia & Napier print artists....& using magnets to hang prints up. Lovely ladies. Keep up the creative work.

A local art centre owned by the people for the people. A taonga (treasure) for regular art and craft exhibitions. Worthile to visit and make purchases that don't break the bank. Also available art courses for adults and in the school holidays for children. A must visit

Every time we've visited we enjoyed great exhibitions, all varied, quite different art forms, always entertaining. Wonderful local talent. Strongly recommended.
