Easy walking, great signal with details of the history of the buildings and people, including some Maori references.
The train was a great attraction for the kids
G.Been here a few times and each time i see something different or hear a story from those working within on the past and sometimes present .. great for young and old to learn of past times.Wonderful displays.Great food in Cafe or if you just want coffee and a snack this can be had at the wee coffee shop on site
V.Lovely little village to visit, like stepping back in time with the church and shops reflecting the 1800's I think 🤔. Worth a wander and a great cafe there too❤️

P.Yeain wasn't running and nothing extra for the school holidays. A bit disappointing.
P.We used The Granary for a wedding event. It was the perfect size for 150 guests. The kitchen ajoins the the 'ballroom'. The kitchen facilities are fairly limited for cooking for a crowd, especially the sink and hot water systems. But all up, a very positive experience.

T.Nice place in upper South Island to visit. It's close as a local Craft and Artisan.market can be. Entrance fee $15.00 is a bit stiff, then again if you're local with ID it's free. Nice place to go to for walk then again a local park or Japanese garden is much better to relax at.
L.I had a great time looking at the the stores of old times and the old products that were once a part of all households . Highly recommended to see this place in good old Nelson
D.Diverse range of historical buildings and items from colonial times and beyond. Inexpensive and worth a visit. Sunday afternoons Jazz in the park is a relaxing option for Summer Sunday afternoons.

Z.A really great venue for functions and events. A perfect family visit destination with great displays, old restored buildings artifacts, vehicles planes and trains. Excellent site, close to town. A real treasure.

G.Better place to visit on a weekend. Mid week very quiet. Cafe was good. Some activities were not operating.
D.Went to Founders for the annual book fair got some interesting books at a great price the people and staff were friendly and helpful. They had a awesome array of books that would cover all tastes no matter how niche a type a book maybe I'm sure it will be there.
D.Always beautiful to wander around , the book fair is always worth a look and the cafe a lovely place to sir and enjoy a cuppa and freshly baked pastry.
