Reviews of The Historic Langford Store & Post Office
P.
This is a priceless little shop and cafe. It's in the middle of beautiful countryside with nothing much else around but it's worth the drive. The lady serving when we went was wonderful and very friendly. Nice to talk to and joke with. She made great coffee and tea as well! We had a couple of homemade cookies as well. The shop is a one of a kind with a mix of old and new and full of sweet things. Very cool place!
B.
I always love going to this place. Will and Sukhita are awesome people and there is nothing quite like sitting out the front of this place having an excellent coffee and a scone. It's a trip back in time. I have never seen another cafe anything like this one.
A.
Great fun place to check out nz history
C.
One of the coolest wee places we’ve been to. This is a historic New Zealand icon. I highly recommend you visit, after a stop here you can continue out to the start of the Heaphy track. As far as the Langford goes they have great coffee and snacks too, a must visit if you are in the area.
T.
Great place and very good coffee, don’t miss out on this gem close to Collingwood.

An odd wee shop in the middle of nowhere with a good history for the region.
I'd say well with the drive out there, there are some gems from the history of New Zealand, a lot of nostalgia.
Local art which is nice, old sweets which was a treat.
We had a lovely warm scone with home made jam and fresh whipped cream.
Brilliant. Thank you.

When you stop in here make sure you have Will' scones, jam and cream! They're superb. We were welcomed so warmly. So many bit and pieces to look at. Immerse yourself back into the 1960's.

If you're in the Golden Bay region it is well worth the effort to go out there. It doesn't take too long to get there from Collingwood. Grab yourself a coffee and a slice of cake and have a good look around. You may have to go 'round a couple of times as there will be things you missed on the first round.
R.
Great place for tea and scones or coffee worth the drive

Great little placed stuffed with goodies from yesteryear. Tearoom with tea served the old fashioned way with pretty China cips & a teacher for the pot.

First visited Jan 1985 not a lot has changed, wonderful piece of history being preserved. Worth the drive to go back in time.
J.
The Langford store has the best collection of tea sets available for purchase that you'll find. They also do a pretty mean cream and jam scone, and are a perfect place to stop for an ice block on the east back from the Heaphy track.
If you've driven out from Takaka, the Salisbury Falls (a ten minute drive towards the Heaphy track) is well worth a look.
S.
what a fabulous story behind the store. How beautiful that family 👪 are still running this amazing shop. Thank you for serving us and Lleyton with his abundance of lollies.
S.
Great for a cup of tea and a scone.
E.
