Interesting. My and my sons came here. I liked it you could say for the most part. I would say, you have to stay cautious of some of the workers though. While on our way to get pudding with the rest of the tour group. I noticed one of my sons was falling back from the crowd. I decided to leave my other sons and sus out the situation. Had a musli bar ready for my boy. Until I noticed he was being pressured by a worker to go on his train and ‘go to the top’. This is one of the the most concerning things for a mother. So much unknown, what is the top!? Is his train safe?! Has it been checked by WOF?!
But it was too late by the time I got to my son, the worker had caught onto me to ‘are you going to the top??’ He said with a tone of worry in his voice ‘Where’s the top!?’ I asked
‘The top!?’ He said. I had given up, and my son Adam was already on the train.
To my shock, the train took us away from the group and down to the bottom of the hill. I missed out on the pudding!!! Once we got to the bottom, or as he called it the top. All made sense
I think he did this often, his manger was upset with him since he had left his tour group to come take us on his train. The poor lad risked his job to take us to the top. ‘You’ve done it again!! Your group is waiting for you!’ His manager yelled upset.
My other sons were upset that we left them. One of them actually ending up leaving me due to that incident. He went to his dad :/
But I would say it was worth it for the top.
Can’t wait to come back

Attended indigenous night. Service was great hongi and private welcoming was excellent. Chinese staff members was very helpful. Performance was wonderful food was nice looks like they only have one show per night not like the other Maori villages where multiple shows and warriors finish one group and jump to the other. Interpretation was also well done

Yes, you need to see it. Ask for Patrick as the guide and enjoy the tour!

Awesome. Guided tour is definitely worth doing. The geysers we really cool. Seeing the Maori crafting school was great.

Wonderful to see a geyser eruption in nature. Pity the water level was low and it didn't go as high as it usually does when there is more rainfall in the area. Nonetheless it was a sight to commit to the memory bank.

Amazing experience! Take the time for the free cultural tour. Our guide spent over an hour with us sharing his knowledge of their culture and made our day.
Also love that this facility raises money to train young maori's in the cultural skills at the onsite school.
The geothermal features here are also incredible, with the Pohutu Geyser and mudpools making for some great experiences. Don't miss it!

It’s present only in two places in the whole world and New Zealand is one of them. Even though the place is little smelly you can see how the nation uses its resources in a eco friendly way. Must visit.

No matter where you are from , this is an incredible, can't miss attraction made by mother nature herself. Friendly staff, lovely restaurant and views for days

An unforgettable experience, the guided tour was amazing. I hope anyone visiting is able to get a guide named Carol, she was an absolute gem.

We saw Te Tohu (Prince of Wales Feathers), Kererū and Pōhutu geysers all erupting. Whilst Pōhutu didn't reach its 30m maximum, it was still really spectactular. Well worth a visit.

The geysers were a little underwhelming today, partly because the total overcast and the geyser steam are the same color. The lack of contrast made for less impressive pics.
The Maori institute of the arts was fantastic however, as we spent almost an hour with the head of the carving school (a past graduate of the school himself) who was just awesome. Talked about various tribes, tattoo skills, carving. It was just great
B.
Awesome place with geysers, boiling mud, and a kiwi habitat to look at. Food is good and there is a great place to lounge. The hike around is easy and the main geyser is wheel chair accessible.

It's amazing watching hot water coming from out from the ground. It's my first experience encountered this kind of nature phenomenon. We're lucky on that day to visit Te Puai Pohutu Geyser at the right time. It's the wonderful scene created by the Mighty God. Thanks for those who successfully planned for this trip.

One if the most intriguing geysers I've ever witnessed. Erupted continuously for more than 30 minutes. Impressive, compares with any geyser Yellowstone has, though the Text Puia park itself is much smaller than Yellowstone, by two orders of magnitude if not three.

Rotorua sits on the shores of Lake Rotorua of New Zealand. It is known as the thermal wonderland of New Zealand. There are numerous geysers and hot springs in and around the city. Many of these are in parks and reserves. Natural eruptions of steam, hot water and mud occasionally occur in new locations. Nearby Wai-O-Tapu has many famous hot springs noted for their colourful appearance, in addition to the Lady Knox Geyser.

The maori presentation was great. Can take you half a day to cover the whole area. Place that you can experiencce maori culture at the same time can see the natural geothermal and chance to see a live kiwi bird.

(Translated) Really impressive geyser. Erupts approximately every 30 minutes and is clearly visible (free of charge) from the adjacent street. Of course you can also invest the money and also look at the Maori things in Te Puia.

Wirklich beeindruckender Geysir. Bricht ca. Alle 30min aus und ist gut sichtbar (kostenlos) von der angrenzenden Straße aus. Man kann natürlich auch das Geld investieren und zusätzlich die Maori Sachen in Te Puia anschauen.

(Translated) The trip is worthwhile. Geysers are active, several times a day. After the visit of the Maori handicraft there is no sales event. And in Kiwi House you can also see kiwis.

Der Ausflug lohnt sich. Geysire sind aktiv, mehrfach am Tag. Nach der Besichtigung des Maori Handwerks erfolgt keine Verkaufsveranstaltung. Und im Kiwi Haus sieht man auch Kiwis.

(Translated) Rotorua is the geothermal capital of the country. Although they say it is the most stinky place in New Zealand, it is picturesque and worth seeing.
