J.Good to take a break from driving and take a moment to read about Joshua Morgan. A short walk in a beautiful forest to his grave. Was very peaceful
M.This small memorial to a tough old pioneer is well worth a short visit. The short walk crosses a lovely hard rock stream. There are toilets, a rubbish bin and a nice road bridge. Poor old Josh Morgan died with peritonitis due to being so far from any medical help. We need to honour and remember these heroes that took the risks to open up the country.
M.Very interesting history, and romantic actually, with his wive joining him afyet many years.

P.A sobering reminder that minor health problems could be deadly then, especially when you live in the middle of nowhere. On our visits the Morgan genealogy was placed near the grave for visitors, linking the location to present day. Good reason for a stop. Especially if heading east. It completed the story on the information panels asking the Forgotten Highway. So glad we decided to come this way. May be a while before we do it again.
V.Interesting place and saw a mountain goat checking me out. He really is buried in a wonderful forest.
