F.A must see, the Gumboot city of New Zealand (The World). Taihape is also a very nice town. Worth a visit.

R.Seen one photo of the gumboots seen them all so I won't add another. We took a group photo here. It's a cool novelty, corrugated iron gumboot. You can tell from the polished edges that people have been climbing on it a lot. Didnt see any signs about not climbing on it so you can get some good composition in your photo if you use that to your advantage.
Sometimes the foliage of the Taihape sign can get in the way of a group picture. Get creative.
R.Passed through here en-route to Wellington, (from Auckland). This made the drive - and the already beautiful scenery even more interesting. Great town to stop for stretch and a cappa. Loved this boot.
N.It's an amusing statue, a cool thing to look at while visiting Taihape. The giant gumboot statue leads the way to the town's lookout point where I definitely recommend to go👌🏻

R.Yeah the gumboot statue. It's funny but real you have to see it with your own eyes to see what it means represent an the place where it lives.

Originální poutač u vstupu do města umístěný v centru hezky udržované zeleně s připojeným altánkem. Také je možné projít si zdejší poznávací stezku vedoucí na přilehlý vrchol na kterém najdete rozhlednu. Na stezce jsou označeny vybrané stromy a keře a označeny krátkým popiskem. Bohužel již některé informační tabulky nelze přečíst. I tak se výplat u navštívit.
