Carpark is on the 25A, Kopu-Hikuai Rd just up the road from the C.J.W Parsons memorial. Can fit around 10 cars max. Also be careful crossing the road as there is a slow vehicle lane/passing lane the ends right where carpark is and the walkway starts across the road.
Great walk through ruggered native bush, uphill from the beginning with some flat spots throughout to give the legs a rest. Then you'll come to the top section where the rock climbing starts (be very careful here) Once you concour the climb, the summit with spectacular views out to Thames, Mt Te Aroha and Whangamata is 2min away.

The view from the summit was stunning looking over both Hauraki Gulf and Plain as well as Pacific Ocean. We did the walk in Jan 2020 and the track was much more well maintained than we expected, orange route marks were all clear and there were no fallen trees or deep shrub as such. The only challenge of this walk would be the last steep section where you need to gain about 200m elevetion using chains and tree roots. As part of this section is exposed it might be dangerous on a very windy day.

Great short walk and the views are amazing. Chains have been removed when we went there so make sure you have a head for heights for the last section. views are completely worth it

Nice, but a bit challenging track, especially close to the summit. Chain handrails were removed, so you need to climb in couple places carefully without it. Slippery roots after the rain. View from the top is not so great comparing to pinnacle, but nevertheless worth it. Trak is not too popular and crowdy, so you can enjoy privacy.
