The exhibitions they have here are amazing and thoroughly worth while going to see, we took 90 minutes looking through. There are several different exhibitions on here at the moment so go and have a look and then stop at Dough Bakery in same building for coffee and delicious cakes baked on premises, they also have lunch and dinner menus.

Pop Garden
It’s amazing how much magic you can make with seemingly very little. The installation ‘Pop Garden’, dubbed ‘multimedia and multi-sensorial experience is inspired by the world of Pop Art and Andy Warhol's work 'Flowers'.
It’s the place of beaming colours, fleeting reflections and exaggerated distortions, in short, one room Emerald City with the added benefit of lingering music.
The photographer caught his little subject immersed in the world of augmented reality.

Superb service and reasonably priced excellent luncheon food with little touches of unexpected differences. eg. Parsnip, apple soup with hazelnuts. Delicious. All components in proportion & lovely to eat. Group of over 12 speedily served and food came out together. Same with the hot drinks which were excellent. Well return again.
PS. The current international photo exhibition was an unexpected bonus & free to view.

The exhibitions I saw were very interesting and were well presented in the spaces.

First time in the new entrance. Not too chilly or windy outside queuing, and temperate inside.

Wonderful space with 2 exhibitions on the ground floor. Entry by donation. The receptionist was very helpful, telling us the rules of entry and provided a brochure with information on the exhibits. Photos were allowed in the Pop Garden light show, but not in the portrait section. A small shop had some reasonably priced items for locals and tourists. The cafe was extremely busy.

Nice space. We came to see an exhibition on the Permian period and enjoyed the ukele orchestra practising in the lobby.

A beautiful gallery and always has interesting exhibitions and displays. A great cafe too and small shop selling crafts and goods by NZ artists.
